Vacation rentals in Stephenson County

All the good things previously written about Stephen and the bungalow are true!  Before and throughout my stay, Stephen was a friendly, gracious, and helpful host who clearly wanted me to feel at home in the bungalow. It did feel like home from the minute I walked through the door. There was a warm welcome note from Stephen on the counter, along with some Mrs. Mikes! Sun was shining through the many windows, most of which look out on beautiful gardens.  The whole bungalow is bright, airy, and incredibly clean with comfortable seating and sleeping. There are lots of convenient electrical outlets and plenty of storage places for all your stuff. It is in a quiet and safe neighborhood lined with trees for shady walks on hot days. I felt so relaxed and comfortable and welcomed there, and am already looking forward to my stay next summer.  Thank you, Stephen.

This was a hidden gem! PERFECT for my entire little family… and grandbabies! Very kid friendly. Came equipped with all the things necessary for them… potty training stool, handwashing step, bassinet, playpen, toys, games and puzzles. Literally, All the way down to a private nursing room with a comfy easy rocker. We had a 7 week old, 2y/o and 4y/o. Only thing we need to pack for the next stay is their clothes! The suite is very clean, tidy and smelled fresh. My daughter owns a cleaning company and she was extremely impressed with the cleanliness especially being a first time mom with a newborn away from home. It literally felt so much like home! I am looking forward to future stays with my family as this was definitely a stress free stay! Thank you both so much for sharing your beautiful home with me and my family. I feel like I have made friends for life. Thank you for your hospitality!

This home, located in a quiet neighborhood, was exactly what we needed instead of a hotel. We returned to Illinois for a wedding, and afterward, we were able to host our family members, making it feel just like being at home! Any concerns we had were addressed quickly, and Melodie and her staff were very friendly and accommodating. When our grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit, they had a fantastic time playing table tennis downstairs.

Lovely home with great amenities. Perfect for the family event in Freeport, which was why we were in Freeport. Roger was on top of everything. Would definitely stay here again, as well as recommend to friends.

Jilly was a great host, friendly and helpful. Her husband even invited me to play pickleball at the local rec center.

If you want peace and beautiful surroundings, this is the best accommodations for that. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Everything was updated and looked fantastic. I hope to visit again in the future.

Linda was very responsive and excited for us to be there. she answered all of our questions within minutes and even checked in with us to make sure we were ok and didn't need anything. I have never had a host as nice as her and friendly and so willing to make sure we were alright. I highly recommend this place!
