Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Steenwijkerland

We enjoyed the weekend at the end of January, the fireplace was great in the weather.

Lovely, spacious house in one of the most beautiful places in Friesland, located directly on open water with beautiful views over a lake (It Piel, borders Heegermeer and the Fluessen) and the countryside. Recommended for those who love peace, space and the Frisian lakes.

Arend and Alice’s place is an absolute gem. The house is very large, yet cosy and inviting. There is much to rave about: modern, spacious rooms, huge dinner table, very comfortable beds, great kitchen en bathrooms. Alice and Arend are wonderful hosts who made us feel most welcome. And last but not least, the house is in a very beautiful and peaceful part of Drenthe. We can’t wait to be back.

How we enjoyed our weekend in the woods! The communication with Sophie was very nice. I had some questions about the welcome package about dietary requirements and she thought well about this. We could also buy through her wood, as we came by public transport and could not easily take it with us. Super nice that you could, the fireplace finished the cozy evenings. We also opted for a late check-out so that we could enjoy the cottage a little longer and take the cream workshop at Lotte's in the afternoon. A very nice end to the weekend! The cottage itself is located in a beautiful park among the trees. Even in winter you are surrounded with greenery and you can enjoy all the birds and squirrels in the garden. In short, a wonderful place to spend a number of days. Small tip for the train travelers: on weekends, the public transport bikes at Ommen station are very popular, so come early or bring your own bike:)

It was just outstanding. We had a great time with friends and were able to relax perfectly at the place. You sleep excellently in the beds, the sauna and surroundings make the stay perfect. In addition, the host was always available. It was just 10/10. We'd love to come back!

We stayed with five friends with Karlien and felt very comfortable. We would love to come back anytime.

A wonderfully spacious and beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting! Enjoy reading by the fireplace, walking in the woods in the front and backyard and many games, puzzles and coloring pages on the large table. Wonderful few days away!

Freek and Edith are fantastic hosts and the apartment we stayed in was beautiful - modern, clean, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. We had everything that we needed. Freek and Edith are lovely, lovely people. They were friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to ensure that we had everything that we needed/wanted. There’s a fabulous BBQ area and outdoor furniture. We loved our stay with Freek and Edith.

Lovely cottage in a nice place. Fully equipped. Surroundings very nice, nice villages and great that you can walk into the forest from the cottage.

The cottage was perfect for a night in nature, Bram made us feel very much at home and the house was very cozy and equipped with everything you would need. The location is great, right on some beautiful hiking trails. We had come by public transport and then the house is a little less easily accessible, but Bram was super helpful.

We felt super comfortable. The hot tub is perfect and bed incredibly cozy, which was a great wellness holiday. The location couldn't be more central. We will be happy to come back, thank you <3

We had a nice midweek with Atsje and family. The cottage was nicely located on the waterfront. The cottage is tastefully and efficiently furnished. We have been using the Kayak. The setting is beautiful for cycling. The cozy shopping street of Joure is recommended!

Glamping was the first time for us. Was a little smaller than on pictures but was cozy. Coffee maker is with taps, there is not a toaster. The toilets and showers are outside. These are very clean. All staff are very friendly and helpful.

We had a good stay at this apartment! The reception was very friendly and helpful, we felt immediately welcome. The apartment is located in a quiet location, perfect for relaxing. Also, everything was clean and well maintained. We can highly recommend this property

A great but also really small (about 9 sqm) tiny house. With the view of the field and the many animals on the farm, we really had a great weekend. A small kitchen is one house in the house, a larger kitchen and sanitary facilities. Nanda & Peter went the extra mile with small details. Recommended 👍🏼

Beautiful, small accommodation. There are many opportunities to occupy themselves on site, especially for children. Very good communication with the hostess.

We felt right at home right from the beginning. The nature, the fireplace, the sauna were just pure relaxation. We enjoyed every single day and would recommend to anyone and would love to come back!

We had a great experience! From start to finish, everything was super well-organized and tidy. The instructions were clear, and I really appreciated the book with all the details—such a nice touch! Communication was smooth, and the location was great too. You could really feel the love and attention to detail that went into everything.
