Bungalow with dog-friendly yard near Starved Rock

KristenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The most important thing when we travel with our dogs is how secure the fenced in yard is. Dog parents - the fence is very secure. We check every inch of the yard before letting our dogs off leash. The place was cute, cozy, clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and the neighborhood seemed safe. Tania was a great host. We do want to mention that after booking our stay, we received the house rules which mentions not to flush toilet paper. This may be a deal breaker for some. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Cozy & Quiet Living at the Cookie Cottage

SamanthaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Amber, Nana’s Cookie Cottage is the most magical little Airbnb home I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. All of your nana’s love still fills the home and you can feel it as soon as you step inside. I can’t imagine how awful it must be to be some of the select few people who come through as guests and complain about the extra touch of love throughout the home. Their loss, for sure. 10/10, I’d recommend this home to anyone who is looking to feel right at home; just like grandma’s house. Your family is amazing and I am truly grateful for the experience I had while being hosted by you. To anyone looking to stay here, look at the pictures 🥰 The home matches the photos provided. Much love to you and your family, Amber! We can’t wait to stay again! -Samantha Yard Decatur, IL

Starved Rock Area Water View

AbelRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This place here is our 2nd Game room weekend getaway. We simply loved the privacy ❤️ definitely enjoyed the fireplace which made it more cozier than expected. We highly recommend the place to whomever is looking for a gameroom weekend getaway. For the record we are definitely dog lovers and enjoyed hearing them running around like kids when mom and dad are home. We picture one bigger than the other playing with each other. We would love to come back when it is warmer outside the scenic view is very relaxing. Thank You ⚘️ Robert, your hospitality was royal. We hope our stay was not a bother as we treated your place as if though we were at our own home.

Rejoice Inn- A quiet country getaway

CamilleRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was such a wonderful stop on our cross country trip. We were exhausted and had stayed at hotels up until this point. It was so nice to sit on the porch after a long day of driving and relax. We also made ourselves a home cooked meal in the well equipped kitchen, which was great after a couple days worth of fast food. The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful. We definitely recommend this adorable home and would stay here again!

Baldwin House

SonyaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We always stay at The Baldwin House when we visit family in Streator. We feel right at home and most everything is a short walk away. The park, Walgreens, a delicious bakery, coffee shops, fabulous restaurants, and unique shopping. I highly recommend Toni's Airbnb and the restaurants, Good Morning, Good Day and Gaetano's Vault. We sleep and eat well in Streator. 💛😊

Pet Friendly Historical Princeton House!

NancyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It was easy to find the house and checkin. The house was even more beautiful than the photos, especially the front rooms with the picture windows. The woodwork is incredible. We really appreciated the immaculate fenced-in yard, since we were traveling with two dogs. There’s also a great donut shop about 3 minutes walking distance, and the Main Street is full of options for dining and shopping. The only thing to note is that the bathroom sink had a very low flow (although the water pressure in the shower was great). Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Barn on Indian Creek with all the fixins

CrystalRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This was one of the best stays my family and I have had! The barn itself is beautiful, but what my boys enjoyed the most was the property. We got lucky with a beautiful 50° December day. We walked the trails, threw rocks in the pond and went on scavenger hunts. Highly recommend staying here!

Riverhouse with large deck!

RachelRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. The kitchen was well stocked and there were tons of towels in each room. The beds were cozy and the heat adjusted quickly. The two highlights were (1) the beautiful deck overlooking the river, where we saw a bald eagle and sandhill cranes migrating and (2) the game room, where we enjoyed family games of pool and poker. The house was 15 minutes from Starved Rock and 2 minutes from a grocery store, so the location was super convenient as well.

Country Home with Outdoor Hot Tub by Starved Rock

MarynaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The place was perfect for a peaceful getaway in nature. The house was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was a great bonus and helped us relax after a full day. The surrounding area was quiet and surrounded by forest, which made it easy to disconnect from the city. The host was very welcoming and responsive. Thank you for the hospitality — we would gladly come back again!

Lazy Bear Lodge

RachaelRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Had a fantastic stay- our focus was hiking at Starved Rock and it was perfect for that. We’re thinking of a summer trip to kayak now as well. The townhouse is very cozy and the dining table was great for playing games with the family. Beds are comfortable and rooms are large. Our kid was excited to use the big jacuzzi tub for bath time. Plenty of counter space to cook together. Recommend bringing foil or plastic wrap as there is none available. Will need to have all ingredients on hand- there are no supplies left from previous guests with things like oil/Pam. Big grocery options are just a short drive away though. For those with electric cars, the Flying J has good level 2 chargers-not as fast as described in listings though. Saw Tesla chargers at the HyVee as well.

Starved Rock & Ottawa Retreat Amazing Getaway Home

KaitlynRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and well cared for, our hosts even sent their cleaner over for a freshen up before we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for cooking meals, including a cookbook we enjoyed. One of the best things about this house is how close it is to Starved Rock, Buffalo Rock and Mathison parks!

Beautiful & Secluded Cabin by Lake Thunderbird

JohnRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This place was great. There isn’t much around here to do, especially in the winter, but we were looking to mostly disconnect from the outside world for a week and this was great for that. Aside from laundry there is really is everything you need to live here full time including a fully stocked kitchen with various helpful appliances like a crock pot and toaster stashed away but accessible. Perfect for a few days or a full week! It was a little dusty in some spots but otherwise clean and well kept. Had a great time. Hoping to come back when the weather is warmer and take advantage of the lake!
