Lake side house rentals in Star Lake

The place was exactly as described. It was well maintained and had plenty of room for our four person party. It was very clean and had all the amenities as described. Evan was very responsive to my questions. We would definitely stay again.

Not one detail was missed. The cabin was clean, very well decorated, and as described in the listing. The natural surroundings truly make it a great getaway. For my coffee lovers...bring instant. There is a tiny coffee maker in the cabin but no grounds or filters. I understand not wanting to generate too much waste, but a Keurig would have made my mornings looking at the lake, THAT much better. There was a little gas station about 3 miles away luckily.

We loved our stay. The space is GORGEOUS. We especislly loved the gates at the top of the deck so the kids could run around and be safe. We stayed in winter and the view was epic. The hot tub was warm and the fire burned all weekend long. All in all we loved our stay, the beds are comfy, the master bedroom is wonderful, the kitchen has everything you need, and you cannot beat the view. Hope to be back soon!

I have been coming up to the area since I was young, but it was my wife’s first trip to the Adirondacks. I wanted to show my wife all of the special places my dad took me when i was little. I managed to show her some of the other spots before we checked in, and I’m glad I did, because once we arrived at the air bnb, we were home. It took little time to realize that we were spending the entire trip on the lake and at the camp. To try to put it in perspective, we woke up each morning while it was still dark to make sure we could watch the sun rise above the lake each morning (and get some prime fishing time in). The cabin itself is well maintained, and very charming. Ona was very responsive and an excellent host. Highly recommend!

Another great stay! This is my third time and will not be my last. Great place, beautiful location the view is amazing and it is only a few minutes into town.

We spent two nights during the shoulder season of fall/winter. I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely this place is for the price. We immediately felt comfortable and relaxed. Their hospitality and property is not something to be missed! I will absolutely be back to enjoy the airbnb in different seasons! One thing to note is if you’re tall the shower and bed are a little tight. Not a big deal but worth a mention. 10/10 stay.

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night! Looking forward to our next stay, and more amazing family moments. Thank you Meagan!

Ziad was very responsive. We normally stay in hotels because my daughter goes to school at St Lawrence but we found this to be a much better option. The place was neat clean and tidy and my wife my mom and I enjoyed the stay . Would 100% book with Ziad again .

We had a great time at Rocky Lodge! The lakeside setting is unmatched. We loved fishing off the dock, swimming off the dock, paddling around the bay and listening to the loons. The house and boathouse were clean and comfortable, check-in and communication were easy. We'd like to come back!

Kelly was great to deal with everything was clean and perfect. We went for steelhead fishing and it was very convenient to fishing areas. And her recommendation for dinner Saturday night was amazing.

From the very beginning, Tim was extremely attentive and answered all of my questions immediately. I knew what to expect as soon as I walked in. The house fit 2 families and 2 large lazy dogs without feeling cramped. Having water access was amazing, the kids fished all day while the parents enjoyed time on the patio. The kids were able to take kayaks out to fish as well. The water grass made it a little difficult to keep an eye on the kids from the patio area, but not enough to be a problem. The water is very shallow but we were able to park our rented boat (Mac's Boat Rental-super awesome to the kids) without a problem. This house is exactly what we were looking for; private, waterfront and allowed dogs heavier that 20lbs-which is difficult to find. This house was a gem and we will gladly rent again! Thanks Tim!

Great place on the water! Stayed here with a large family for the winter holidays and really enjoyed the snow and frozen lake! House has plenty of room to spread out and lots of thoughtful activities for kids and adults! The kitchen is well stocked with quality cookware as well. We had a problem with the heat in one room and Frances responded immediately and sent someone to fix the problem. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was just a quick ride outside of town and very easy to find! Plenty of space for our family and we were able to enjoy a movie on the big screen downstairs! The kitchen was well stocked as well as towels and blankets so the kiddos could cuddle up near the fireplace! We will keep you on our list for future visits to Old Forge! Thank you The Russo Family!

Jon was easy to work with and always helpful. Everything is as described. We skied Mt Gore and it's a nice 15-20 minute drive in beautiful countryside. I imagine the place is extra beautiful in the summer in front of the lake. We were there with lots of snow. Jon's plow guy was prompt and courteous and helpful. Overall it was a great stay.

Such a homey stay! Kimberly has a beautiful home and made us feel very welcome. She was very responsive and included everything we needed (dishes, cutlery, linens, extra blankets, etc.) It was very comfortable, serene, and has an amazing view. I would recommend to others and look forward to staying again!

Absolutely loved the place very homey, beautiful views of Titus Mountain perfect for my family ski vacation. Denise is so responsive and flexible. We will definitely rent again when we need to stay in Malone NY.

Excellent stay. Shannon's place is amazing. Spotless clean, open concept, beautiful views of the river, huge deck, peaceful and quiet. We were a party of eight adults. tons of room, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, great Wi-Fi. Highly recommended.

Lisa is a wonderful host. Our plans changed last minute and she was willing to accommodate on a Friday night at 10:00 pm. She really saved us. Her home was so clean and cozy we felt comfortable the moment we entered. The house was more than enough space for my husband, myself, and our 2 young boys (and 2 Coton de Tulear pups). Perfect location for skiing at Oak Mountain. We definitely recommend Lisa’s home to others and look forward to returning ourselves.

Great location in Lake Placid and is within walking distance to great restaurants, shopping and Mirror Lake. The views of the mountains are really wonderful. The house is clean and well stocked. It exceeded our expectations will definitely come back again.

The furniture is clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. We especially liked that there was plenty of space for clothing and belongings, and appreciated the wifi, nice TV and games.

First of all the pictures for this place don’t do it justice! It’s a beautiful home and way bigger than we expected! We had a great weekend at John’s place and can’t wait to comeback and stay again.

My daughters and I could live at this cabin and location. It is on our list of “absolutely again”! I have not felt this relaxed and peaceful in a very long time. It was absolutely serene and beautiful.

Such a cute classic cottage, we felt at home instantly. It is close to the mountains, hiking and the beautiful lake. It was a very short drive to tourist attractions and restaurants in Lake George.
