Pet-friendly vacation rentals in St. John

My group of four had a great stay here. No issues with communication and Harold was a huge help for us getting around the island. He gave us much better rates than the taxis. The view from the porch is amazing. AC unit was powerful enough to keep the whole place cool. Bathroom is large but it is outside so there are critters around. No issue with bugs in the house but we did get bitten by mosquitoes in the bathroom. They kept a can of bug spray in there so we started just spraying it around when we needed to be in there. The only cons I’d say are that if you aren’t a reasonably fit person the stairs up and down may be too much for you. You can drive to the top though if you’re renting a car then it wouldn’t be a problem. Also, you can hear absolutely everything happening on the floor above from the talking to toilets flushing. There are earplugs provided but if you are a light sleeper just keep that in mind. Despite that we would still rebook great house and great hosts! Recommend it!

The view was gorgeous. Karen met us in our Jeep and told us beforehand we had to rent a 4-wheel drive Jeep to be able to get to her place. The drive up and down is a little harrowing. So if you are not a person who values nature enough to put up with a somewhat dangerous drive to get there, this is not for you. But we loved the place. We never had to lock the place when we left. We never used the air conditioning. We left the windows open most all the time, the whole ten days, including at night when we were sleeping. The breeze was lovely. We got to talk to Karen before we got there and after we got onto the island for help info. Karen let us use her kayak, beach chairs and her cooler; nice! She is a lovely person! I loved the isolation; all the nature! We did have to walk up and down a series of rock/cement stairs to get from the Jeep to the cottage and visa versa; it was lit from dark to about 9:30pm. We are hardy walkers. Wished we had had a few more hangers; had 6.

We had a great stay! Plenty of room for our party of 8 to spread out! Suzy was very responsive to any requests or questions we had.

Barons place in st thomas was very clean and a lot of space. Kitchen had everything needed to make food. I would recommend renting a car because the place is in a very beautiful secluded area on the mountain. Well worth it

This place is 100% where you want to stay if you want a truly peaceful island get away! We enjoyed the open air set up of the property, morning and evening costal mountain winds were phenomenal. (Our April stay, the multiple mini split systems weren’t needed) We were able to watch deer, iguanas and all kinds of birds on the wrap around deck. Which also doubled as a great safe and secure play area for our kids. Mike was very friendly and responded quickly to all of our questions/needs! If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful island getaway, this property is where you need to stay.

Very spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. Great view of Charlotte Amalie and the harbor. Quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but close enough to drive in for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. Central location also allows easy access to the north side of the island's beaches and restaurants. Ample parking is a huge benefit here!

Our stay at Patricia’s place in St. Thomas was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, Patricia made me feel incredibly welcome. She was warm, friendly, and genuinely committed to ensuring I had everything I needed. Her hospitality truly elevated the experience—she was always available for helpful recommendations and made me feel completely at ease throughout our stay. The property itself was a dream. Tucked away in a quiet spot, it offered the perfect level of privacy to relax and unwind. The view was absolutely breathtaking—every morning I woke up to panoramic scenes that felt like a postcard come to life. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or watching the sunset, the beauty of the surroundings was unforgettable. Inside, the space was immaculate and thoughtfully prepared. Everything was sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, and felt just like home. It was the kind of place that instantly puts you at peace, with all the comforts you could ask for.

We had a great week at Down Yonder! Easy access to supermarkets and restaurants. Beautiful view. Private. Great pool for our kids. Extremely clean and nice layout.

We had a blast at the cottage. We slept upstairs and my 7 yr olds stayed downstairs which worked out well to have our separate spaces. Views every morning were incredible and the breeze kept any bugs away. Location was 35 min from Cruz Bay but the privacy and seclusion was exactly what we wanted. We’ll be back

This place was awesome. Beautiful views of Cruz Bay and the surrounding islands (for some reason they don’t have any pics of the views in the posting, which they should update!). Very short 5 min drive to the grocery store and all the restaurants and bars downtown. Very short drive to all the incredible north shore beaches. Pool is pretty small but the views from the pool area were great.

What an incredible place to stay! It was amazing to have a private pool, expansive balcony, and open concept living space all with ocean views. The kitchen is large and functional and looks out over amazing views while you’re cooking. The snacks, drinks, and provisions they provided were very thoughtful! It felt very private. We already booked our return trip next year! The only thing to note is that the bed is listed as a king in the listing and is actually a queen on a king platform (no big deal for us), and it is very firm. We will probably try to bring a mattress topper with us next time because of how firm it is. It was overall a truly incredible stay!

We had a great stay (four adults and a toddler) at Matt's place in Coral Bay for our daughter's second birthday. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to travel to St John!

The guest house was as described in the photos. We were welcomed by the Host. Everything was there that was needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor showers were interesting. These were the hidden gem. We ask about them in advance so this was not a surprise. For a private laid back stay, this was it. St John like St. Thomas is very hilly so be prepared. This was only a 10 minute trip from the car ferry. The store was less than 5 minutes away. Two tv's to enjoy entertainment from the kitchen or bedroom. Would stay again if we are back in St John. Five stars, glad we choose this place for our 30th wedding anniversary.

My husband and friend stayed at Emily’s beautiful home the first week of October. Our stay was peaceful , comfortable and totally relaxing. The home had everything you need for a perfect vacation. The house is very large . Kitchen completely stocked with everything you need. Bedrooms very large with big comfortable beds . Bathrooms are extra large complete with everything you need . The pool was gorgeous with incredible views . The best part was the huge deck. We spent hours out these watching the sunrise and the most incredible views . Emily was a text away with any questions we had . I would recommend the home to all my friends and family . We will be back again .

From check-in to check out, the process was easy and seamless. Love the location as it was an easy eight minute drive from downtown Cruise Bay. It was very private and safe feeling with spectacular views. The outdoor showers were a great touch and we enjoyed the pool. Joy was a very responsive communicator and quick to be as accommodating as possible to our needs. Would certainly book again.

We had a great time staying at David’s place in st John. The views were beautiful morning through night and the location was close to the best beaches (driving) but also removed from the hustle of the town where it felt safe, private and luxurious in the hills community. The home, bed and couch were super comfortable, with everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Our family of 4 stayed in Kim's highest unit, guava. The views were amazing, I don't think the pictures do the space justice. The main living area is huge, the balcony was huge, incredible vaulted ceilings. Very nice. Sounds and smells of nature were all around and it was great, yet we were less than 10 mins from downtown and a little bit more to the closest beach. Kim gave us good recommendations throughout our stay and even took is to Trunk and back one day, extremely accommodating. Speaking of accommodating, our stay was over Easter and Kim put on a great Easter egg hunt on the property for the 3 families with 7 kids staying there. By the end of the trip Kim felt more like a friend than a host which is super cool and unique.

Amazing views in a very well equipped home! This place has it all - from the comfortable beds to the peaceful outdoor patio - and was exactly as described. We appreciated the beach towels and chairs and especially the snorkeling gear, which we used every day as we explored different beaches across the island. This home is a decent drive up a steep road so renting a jeep is highly recommended. We will definitely return to this home in paradise!

The four of us were totally pleased with our accommodations at Kim’s BnB. Kim provided a closet full of beach towels, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, grill. This BnB came with a swimming pool and outdoor grill. The space was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed. There was plentiful deck furniture on the balcony that has an extensive view. Kim met us on arrival with great advice and a welcome basket full of goodies. She asked us to call on her if we needed anything. Parking was very convenient and easy, important in St John. In summary, Kim’s BnB has our highest recommendation.

Brittany and Robert were amazing hosts. They answered all of our questions quickly and even reached out to us to warn us of a storm coming through. The location was exactly what we wanted.. quiet and private. We spent very night and morning on the screened in porch.

Our stay at James and Tara's villa was absolutely wonderful! The villa is situated in a gated compound, which provided a sense of security and peace of mind throughout our stay. It's conveniently located just 5 minutes outside of Cruz Bay, making it incredibly easy to access town and all its amenities. The villa itself was immaculate and comfortable, exceeding our expectations in every way. It came equipped with beach chairs and towels, which made our beach days even more enjoyable and hassle-free. The thoughtful amenities provided by James and Tara ensured that we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a spotless, comfortable, and conveniently located accommodation on St. John's. James and Tara were fantastic hosts, and their villa provided the perfect setting for our vacation. Thank you again for a memorable stay!

Very happy with this rental property! It was as advertised and very clean. Very comfortable for our family of 6. We did have the unfortunate timing of vacationing during Tropical Storm Ernesto, but the villa and host were ready for this with back up lights and fans. Seagrape Villa does not have a back up generator, FYI. This location is great as it’s so close to all the activity in Cruz Bay and just a short drive to any of the beaches! We so enjoyed our stay and the management company was very responsive regarding arrival and any questions we had during our stay!
