Rio Vista Falls River Home

CourtneyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place is absolutely fabulous. It was prettier than what the pictures show. The sunsets were beautiful. Different every night. Everything you need for amenities plus what is listed on there. It could not of been more relaxing reading a book on the deck listening to the water. Great view from in the house as well so it was a great spot if you love being by the water. My dog enjoyed hanging out on the deck. She made use of every spot. Great host. Probably asked her too many questions but she was great on getting back to me and never acted like I was bothering her. Thank you for sharing your home with us and we will definitely be back. Definitely liked it now when we had the whole place to ourselves. I think one other family was there during that week and they live there. It probably gets packed in summer and we like it more secluded and not be around other people but if you like that I’m sure the summer would be great for you there. Book a getaway here definitely. You’ll love it.

The M & J

JohnRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Barbara was the nicest person we have ever met. We came to town to help out our kids as they were expecting the birth of their third child. Barbara even had a customized gift basket ready with newborn diapers thrown in. We went to watch our two small grandchildren every day, and coming back here was a welcome reprieve. It was warm and cozy, even though it was bitterly cold outside. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds super comfy, and my husband would love to put the recliner in our trunk to take home. Beautiful area with LOTS to do. We will stay here every time we come to town . Thank you, Barbara.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately it was too wet and cold to spend time on the deck. We will definitely stay again after the renovations are complete.

Casa Aguirre - Walking distance to waterfall

ToriRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is our second time staying at Ashley's place, and it was great, yet again! It felt very homey, and the games were great for the kids. My husband and I appreciated the fact that she let us check-in early (we had arrived earlier than anticipated), and we were able to grab some groceries and get settled in at a decent time. That was extremely helpful and we are so grateful! Everything was nice and clean! As usual, she was very responsive. We had a great time at the place while we were in town visiting family! Will most likely be staying again later in the year!

Duck Cabin

AndreaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Amazing place with a TON of extras including a welcome basket with snacks, treats and a food station for the dog, and any toiletries you could have forgotten. Plus there was even local restaurant recommendations and the menu for the local cafe for breakfast or lunch. and the best part .. you don't have to clean the whole place before you leave.. just take out the trash and lock up. Great place for a family, friends, or even a quiet getaway

Tranquil cabin w/AC, 2 natural creeks and WIFI

JayRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This was the perfect getaway we were looking for. We can’t comment about local restaurants or attractions as we spent about 90% of our time sitting around the fire pit and walking the property. WiFi is perfect, but understand you probably won’t have cellphone service here (WE LOVED IT!!!!) as you are pretty deep in a valley. Dollar General is about five minutes away (turn right at the waterfall instead of left to go back to Hardy) and cell service there is excellent. Remember you are staying at unfinished, works-in-progress projects both inside and outside, so be prepared. You are doing VERY high-end “glamping” at this point. You might come across a few creepy crawlies inside and lots of stuff to trip on, get poked with, or get tangled up in outside. (Again, perfect for us!) Microwave meals will be the easiest; however, we cooked with the Instant Pot, hot plate, toaster oven and electric kettle just fine. Steaks and burgers over the campfire just added to the experience. Thanks!
