Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Southbury

We just left yesterday and my family has already asked to go back! A beautiful, well-kept home with privacy but minutes from everything. The property looks exactly like the pictures. It’s cozy yet spacious and includes a lot of opportunities for relaxation. All of the survival touches did not go unnoticed. We appreciated every detail! Johanna was the ultimate host and was very responsive. We hope to go back when it’s a little warmer so that we can enjoy the pond and pool.

Lori was an amazing host. She coordinated with me on everything prior to checking in. I explained that I would be using her home for a small surprise birthday party and she even offered to do some decorations or help out any way she could. Way above and beyond her responsibilities as a host. On top of that she set up a fire pit with firewood and even left a s’mores kit for us. The most amazing thing was she left a birthday card and gift for my girlfriend. It was completely unexpected and we were so appreciative. The home was very clean, cozy, and had everything that we were looking for.

Ritestay was a great place. We didn’t spend much time there because we were there to see our daughter. Would be perfect in the summer!!

We had the absolute best stay at Jeanie’s home! It was beautiful, spacious, and so well decorated, and the property couldn’t be more peaceful. The chickens and ducks in the backyard were so fun to watch, and really made the stay so magical. Jeanie was so helpful too, with lots of local recommendations and made our whole trip so easy! The house oozes with charm and character, and we couldn’t have loved it more!

Great little place with a nice kitchen. Good location with convenient access to downtown Wallingford. Everything went smooth with great communication.

Madeline is friendly, delivers above what she promises. The house is super clean. Left milk, water, yogurt eggs and apples for us! Great coffee as well cookies and crackers. Super host. Second time coming and we will be back.

I booked this property to receive the new year with all my family and we had a blast. The place was spotless, the backyard was amazing, the fireplace was perfect for smores and the dog was able to run around. Kayaks were available but the weather didnt permit us to use them. The game room definitely was the center of the fun the whole night, kept us all entertained for hours. We definitely are looking forward to our next stay here. I have contracted with Carol twice now - she is always great to work with and her properties are always clean and well suited for our stays. This house in particular is awesome for large families or multiple couples.

Pictures don’t do justice! Craig’s place was lovely, from the amazing kitchen to the spacious living room and the outdoor patio. For a group getaway this is the perfect place. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was our second time back to the pool house and it was amazing, again. We thinks of everything to make you feel welcome. Milk and eggs in the fridge. Muffins and croissants waiting for you. Pristine home. Fully stocked kitchen. I was even able to host a few family members for Christmas dinner and had everything I needed to make a lovely dinner. We also travel with two dogs and Sue is so accommodating, making our pups feel right at home. Thank you, Sue, for making our holidays away from home so peaceful and enjoyable.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a couple friends. Perfect spot for a quick getaway. Backyard and pool area was exactly what we were looking for with lots of space to lounge and relax. Lots of entertainment if you wanted to just hang inside as well. As some of the other reviewers noted, you can definitely hear the hosts move around upstairs. Didn't impact us too much except for Saturday morning. Was a little difficult to sleep in b/c of the noise.

We needed a place to stay during the holidays that was quiet and private - while also being close to Westchester. The Zen House was exactly what we needed - and Olga was very kind and helpful.

Blake’s place was perfect for a cozy getaway. It had everything we needed. We loved the uniqueness of the space, the record player, and the huge, gorgeous fireplace. The space was as pictured, but better. Blake was a friendly and responsive host. We felt right at home and wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to come back!

Upon entry, my architect husband said "Cute Cottage; Susan you did it again." Plenty of room for a couple in their mid-seventies, and a Millennial daughter. The cottage is very well insulated such that I didn't have to run the heat except for fifteen minutes at bedtime in mid-October, yet there is a big south-facing sliding door in each of the rooms where the sun and moon shines through. Beautiful woodland falls away from the cottage and small patio beyond the sliding doors, and moonlight is magic on all the leaves. If we had more time we would have investigated the many books in the shelving. We will find excuses for coming back to the area and will stay here again.

Our stay at Sweetbriar was utterly relaxing. From the moment we arrived we were at ease. The home’s chill vibe, high-end features, and understated art set a restful tone. Each of the property’s spaces exceeded our expectations, many of them with lovely views. Our hosts were helpful while also respecting our privacy. We enjoyed walking the bucolic grounds, warming up by a cozy wood-stove, strolling through the charming shops in Scott’s Corners, sharing a romantic dinner at the Inn At Pound Ridge, and even taking the train into NYC from nearby Katonah. Our stay was rejuvenating. We left feeling nourished and inspired.

This was the perfect stay. I felt at home and the grounds are beautiful. The location is a perfect getaway but close to a lovely small town. The owners are great, kind, and so thoughtful. I appreciate them and everything they've done to make my stay better. It was a last minute holiday getaway and I'm so grateful they saved the day. Thank you so much! I'd definitely love to stay again.

Location, location, location. So amazing to have beautiful expansive hiking trails right outside your door. There was even a map/instructions as soon as you walk in the door, to guide you to a waterfall right on the property. Rio was a fantastic host; quick and responsive over text to give helpful information on the area that really made the stay. If you’re looking for a serene escape, this is the place for you.

Kisha was kind and thoughtful. The apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated and provided all amenities. Being dog friendly was also a plus for us as we were displaced u water damage at our house just 5 miles away.

We had a cute and cozy stay here! Spent the holidays with the fam by the beach, walked around town and had some really great food! The space the super cute and warm and really nice! The hosts were amazing as well! Super communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. Def keep this spot in my faves list. 🥰💕🎄

Nice place located in a beautiful secluded house in a safe neighborhood. Gorgeous property. Our dogs were allowed and they were very comfortable. The amenities were exactly as described. Extremely clean and well maintained. The place was easy to locate and easy to access. It is convenient to many local stores and restaurants. Great, responsive hosts!
