Michael place was an amazing hideaway in the middle of lots of bushes. We checked in after sunset so it was dark although we could hear the sound of waves hitting the shore clearly. Next morning the view was spectacular, the firepit is an great, cozy addition. Amenities were all as described. Little thoughtful touches within the house makes it more beautiful. Just suggestion to take along paper towel roll, chux & facial tissues as they weren't available & the closest IGA was just a 9min drive. Also, we had to find the closet that had towels, they weren't kept on the bed or in the bathroom. Wonderful place, cozy firepit, comfy beds & amazing host.

We had a lovely long weekend in Venus Bay. Gert’s place was a great space for our family (including dog). Gert was responsive when we needed to reach out to him. It was a peaceful location and great drinking coffee on the veranda watching the sunrise.

Thank you so much for the most wonderful Easter holiday for my family. Sarah's house is absolutely gorgeous, perfect for families- it has such a wonderful cottage vibe. The location is perfect- walking distance to boat ramp and playground and in such a peaceful area. Also a great garden for finding Easter eggs!

We had a great stay. Jamie and Judy (and their property manager Holly) were great communicators. There was a small problem with the house at time we were due to check in (not anyone’s fault) but they sorted a quick solution for us. Very relaxing place and the fire was great in the evening too. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to others looking for clean, safe and simple accommodation. Everything felt clean and comfortable when we arrived. We loved the fireplace, our daughter loved the table tennis table out the back, and our dog loved the backyard which was safe and secure. Going for a short, local walk at dusk was great for kangaroo, wombat and rabbit spotting also!

Secluded Venus Bay getaway close to beach 5

Located only a couple of hundred metres from the beach, this cute little beach shack is tucked away in the quietest area of Venus Bay, backing onto the coastal park. Recently renovated, with a lovely big deck. A lot of people are impressed by the size of my deck. I have one of the biggest decks in Venus Bay and many of our friends have enjoyed sitting on my big deck. You can too! The house is open and airy in summer, snug and cosy in winter. It is your classic no frills beachside getaway.

The studio is surrounded by native trees, featuring a wooden façade with large glass windows. A covered porch hosts two outdoor chairs, inviting relaxation. Sunlight filters through the trees, enhancing the natural setting.

The thing is I didn’t actually get to stay there. Louise had messaged me (but I was on route and didn’t see it) that the power was out, no internet etc after the huge storm of a day or so earlier. I could still stay but it wouldn’t be the normal experience. They made me very welcome, I had a lovely cup of tea in front of the fire looking down the valley at the view, but ultimately decided to find a place for the night that had power etc. Thank you for your kind welcome anyway.

We absolutely adored our (albeit, too short!) stay! Nicola was a fabulous host, was so welcoming of us and our little furbaby Ludo ensuring we had everything we needed for a lovely stay, including recommendations for local walks, restaurants and the best ways to get around the area. Nicola was even kind enough to let us borrow her kayak and paddle board which was such a fun bonus! The studio was spotlessly clean, well stocked with tea/coffee/even hot chocolate and marshmallows, lovely shower products and ample towels. The location was unbeatable, a short pleasant walk into the main center of town and such a short stroll to the beach including a lovely off leash dog beach. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nicola’s and stay again in future. Thanks Nicola! 🐶🥰
