Kid-friendly vacation rentals in South Dublin

We LOVED staying here. It far exceeded expectations. Sometimes you see photos and you rock up and it’s like umm ok. But this place is so much BETTER than even the photos suggest. As a native Dubliner I loved the location, the quietness, the gorgeous garden, the amenities, the comfortable homeliness of the house, but especially the lovely Irish welcome that Patricia extended to us. We arrived having a long delay in flight to a warm, inviting, cosy home with a kind written note with wine, bread, cheese which was a godsend as we were so tired we tucked into it immediately. Patrica was contactable at all times and gave great instructions for both the house and so all the lovely local places available. The home is spotless and what a wonderful outdoor garden which was a suntrap. We hardly got to spend time there as we were on the go but we so will be back to explore more. We had a great experience staying in Drimnagh at GuestReady’s townhome. The location was both convenient for getting to Dublin City center while having a quieter neighborhood feel that we appreciated. Lots to do right nearby as well with the Kilmainham Gaol and Medieval Castle so close. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable (the beds were great). The back garden and cosy kitchen were favorites. There were 3 of us and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The next time we travel to Dublin we will book early just to be able to stay again!

It was great to stay at Lifang’s place! With 5 of us, finding a place with two full bathrooms was excellent, and our 3 teenagers really appreciated having a room of their own. The neighborhood is close to several attractions and convenient to public transportation, which was very important to us since we were not renting a car. Check in was easy, the place was as described, and the local recommendations and listing of walking / bus times were greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Cozy and warm house in the groovy Smithfield area. Close to everything. Tram stop close by. Walkable to nearly all of Dublin. Amazingly communicative and supportive host. Great coffee machine with coffee beans provided! Recommended!!

A really lovely listing, the location is perfect, in just two days we made many walks to the centra 😂 the home is small and cute, and the heating works well. Host is lovely 😊

Alan is very welcoming and has thought of every detail for a comfortable home from home stay. You really feel as if the space is your own. It's beautifully furnished and decorated and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could need, including lots of useful information about attractions and days out. Alan and his lovely apartment come very highly recommended.

Fantastic location centralled located and near public transport, especially LUAS. Despite being in a busy area it was very quiet in the apartment even during daytime hours. The apartment was immaculately clean and well furnished with everything we needed, even small cooking items. Marie and her co-host were wonderful about allowing us to drop our luggage before check-in, which is much appreciated when arriving on an overnight flight. The apartment is tricky to get to through multiple doors the first time, so we appreciated meeting the co-host outside for check-in. Overall a very positive experience.

Michelle was very accommodating. She allowed me to drop off the bags pre check in time. Very communicative to any questions!

Helen was an amazing hostess and gave us lovely recommendations for places to visit and very responsive and accommodating. Her place is very walkable, accessible to DT, cozy and very comfortable beds and rooms.

Roman was a great host and super helpful and communicative. His place was exactly like the photos and made our stay very comfortable.

Noel’s place was perfect for my husband and me. Perfectly clean, great location, and had everything we needed.

Liam’s place was perfectly located for our holiday vacation in Dublin. It was well equipped & a great home base for our small family. Liam was highly responsive and a wonderful host. We would definitely love to stay at Liam’s home if our travels took us back to Dublin again.

We had a wonderful stay at John's place. The apartment is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The space is very comfortable and has plenty of room for 2 couples. Because we had great weather during our stay, we were able to take full advantage of the balcony with it's fantastic views. John is a great host. His communication and response time was excellent. We cannot say enough on how accommodating and helpful he was. Based on the experience we had, we would highly recommend John's place. Thank you John for being a big part of our wonderful Irish vacation.

A great stay at Riaan's place. Amazing hospitality and a friendly welcome. Very comfortable apartment (bed is awesome!), with everything we needed and more. Peaceful location. Very highly recommend!

David was a great host, very responsive, and was adaptable with my changing arrival times. His place located in the Portobello neighborhood was within a half an hour walk from the Temple Bar, Grafton Street, and Trinity College. Around the apartment there were plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. I highly recommend the Little Bird Cafe which is not even a 5 minute walk away (but stay away from the beautiful English waitress that works there, she's mine).

JJ’s place was everything we needed, cozy and clean, and perfect location! He was quick to answer my questions about check in and was flexible knowing we wouldn’t have cell service. Definitely recommend!

Joan's place is fantastic. She meet me to provide check in instructions. The location is close to all the popular activities. She was flexible with me on arrving and departure schedule. I very much would stay again.

My partner and I had booked a last minute Christmas-time trip to Dublin and were lucky enough to find availability at Lingling’s place. It has everything you would need (minus a hob, which isn’t necessary with all the good local food options anyway). We found the place to be clean, quiet and well furnished. Also, very warm, the underfloor heating was amazing! The bathroom facilities were top notch, the shower is very big with all essential products provided. The only thing worth mentioning is that the walk into the centre could be up to 45 minutes, but there’s a bus stop right outside so not a problem really. Would definately come back again, such a cosy private place for a winter stay!
