Mountain Cottage, near Grayson Highlands & River

AllisonRating, 5 stars18 months ago
We had such a wonderful peaceful mountain weekend getaway! Private cottage with the closest neighbors being the friendly morning cows at the fence line. Tons of seating outside around the house so you can enjoy the views and sounds of nature in all directions. I enjoyed sitting on the tree swing drinking coffee in the mornings. Our golden retriever had a blast roaming the property. Kitchen is fully quipped with everything you need. Bed was comfortable. Jodi has puzzles, movies, and a few books out to use. We were having issues with the heat/furnace and fireplace during our stay. Jodi was so quick and responsive. She had someone out to help in under 30 min! Things to consider when booking here though is that this is an older home in a secluded area. Not many nearby places to go out to eat. Older home with older home smells (slightly musty). Nothing that would make us not book here again, just to let others know! Overall wonderful and replenishing stay, thank you Jodi :)

Mountain Farmhouse on 300+ Acres Million$Views

MegRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a very relaxing weekend in Saltville! The house is peaceful with absolutely breathtaking views. We spent most of our time on the front porch, on the comfy swinging bed/lounge, watching deer, Rowdy Boy, birds and groundhogs. The kitchen was well stocked with a few staples, which was so helpful, given the rural locale. We hiked The Channels, which was, as always, a wonderful hike. We love going into Abingdon to vist The Girl and the Raven for brunch, and shopping at the many cute galleries and shops downtown. And, the Museum of the Middle Appalachians is a fascinating, charming view into the geographic, geologic, and industrial history of the area. Wonderful stay!

CHARMING & SPACIOUS 4-BEDROOM VACATION HOME!!

RebeccaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Great, clean place with lots of space and comfortable beds. I had a lot of fun making cappuccinos for my family in the mornings with the espresso machine. Definitely the best price in the area for my needs! My family had a lovely time exploring the nearby area and Johana’s instructions for getting in the home and using the espresso machine were really clear and helpful.

Granny Branch Inn - Peace and tranquility

WilliamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Charming house that truly felt like staying at Grandmom’s in the country. Large enough for a bigger family, 2 small families or a small group of friends. Lots of room to spread out. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of what would be needed for cooking meals. The surrounding area was beautiful. Perfect peaceful scenery for sitting on that front porch swing listening to the birds and watching calves chasing one another on the hillside. Freshly baked brownies were a thoughtful treat waiting for us when we arrived. Would definitely stay again.

Shirley's home was exactly as described. It was convenient to town and a great location for out hiking excursions to Mt. Rogers and other nearby mountains. I would return again on our next adventure.

Gorgeous Country Views

AmberRating, 5 stars1 month ago
So peaceful and quiet! Far enough off the beaten path and close enough to whatever you are interested in. Loved hearing the cows! We spent every evening eating dinner and relaxing outside with such incredible views. Each day only a handful of cars total would come by the road. We easily visited Hungry Mother State Park, Grayson Highlands State Park, and Damascus. Would stay here again.

The 510. Vacation home in the heart of Damascus

KimRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We came into town for thanksgiving and needed a place to stay. Chelsea’s place was spacious and inviting. Plenty of space to come together or get away from one another when needed 🤪. The house was clean and tidy and I loved the vintage/antique finds that were decorated with. Although it was very cold out we still biked the first half of the creeper and enjoyed a hike. Would love to return in warmer weather. My favorite thing about Chelsea’s place besides the roominess was the bed linens- well done!!! The only drawback (and others mentioned) is the one bathroom is downstairs and all bedrooms are up. But that was manageable. Would love to see The addition of Some dressers and surfaces to unpack your things. But overall great value for the number of beds!

Private and peaceful cabin in the valley.

CoyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wesley’s cabin is a little slice of heaven. We were greeted by a herd of deer as we arrived later in the evening:) Wesley provided clear instructions to find the home and we had no problem. The cabin was exactly as described in the listing and well stocked. We only stayed the night as we were passing through town. Our only complaint would be that we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy the cabin and explore the area. Would not hesitate to book again and definitely recommend. Thank you!

Creekside Glamping & 30 Acres To Explore

LOVED this unique get away when we wanted to camp but didn’t feel like doing the work. Host is SUPER gracious , friendly and flexible and had everything we could have thought of needing. Close to so much to do too / we biked creeper trail, fished, hiked Big Falls and took a dip, hiked the channels (arrive early for ten numbered parking spots only) . Great grocery very close . Enjoy!!

Charming 3 Bedroom Cabin near Hungry Mother Park

MichaelRating, 5 stars21 months ago
This property was very peaceful with unique country decor. House is located on the top of the hill with plenty of opportunity to see wildlife like deer and turkey. Virginia Appalachian mountains are always a good choice for a nice retreat. Our family reunion was just down the road so this was very convenient. Thank you for your hospitality and welcoming home.

Secluded Mountain A Frame - Refurbished + Solar

TammyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
It’s beautiful, peaceful & relaxing. They have everything you need for your stay. It’s quite unique and if you are looking for solitude, quiet or maybe rekindling your relationship, this is the place for you! One thing is for sure, you can get in lots of walking and we did enjoy the country drives. I do recommend bringing a fan for the upstairs bedroom. The spiral steps might not be for everyone but they add character to the place. Highly recommend!

Cyclist-between the Creeper Trail and the river

AshleighRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We loved our stay at the Cyclist cabin. It was close enough to bike into town and also right on the creeper trail. The house was fully stocked with paper towels, tp, trash bags, etc which was a nice surprise. Katie was also very easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. We can’t wait to stay here again.
