Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Skamania County

This home was a very nice place to stay especially for families. The downstairs den was a great place for my daughter to play/ watch tv while the adults hung out upstairs. the layout was great, my mother in law had the whole downstairs to herself that included a bathroom and bedroom. We really enjoyed hanging around the home, as it did rain quite a bit and had lots of books to read! There is a children's park in walking distance that is very big. Driving downtown was easy and super close. The beds were extremely comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed.

this was a perfect home to spend Christmas with my Family just felt like home with everything we needed, kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped with everything thats needed. and beautiful views of mountains plus close to make hiking trails thanks we had a great time as a family.

Our third visit! This is our favorite place to stay while visiting family in the area - always clean and Michael goes above and beyond. Beautiful house and can’t ask for more from a host!

We had a group of 6 at the house and this worked about very nicely. Beautiful property, comfortable beds, and nice furnishings. Michelle was also very responsive before and during our trip. Would rent again.

This was one of the most beautiful stays we’ve had at an Airbnb. The amenities were thoughtful and showed they truly cared about what guests would need. The kitchen was well stocked, they had everything you’d need for kids and the decor was also so beautiful. We had a peaceful and restful experience.

Mary's house was perfect for my cousin and my stay while visiting Carson! It was the perfect spot for 6 adults to hang out and catch up- there was room for them to park during their visit and plenty of space around the dining table for an evening of reminiscing with old friends who have not seen each other in years. The house is located on a property with a couple of other dwellings, but the 3 were surrounded by open space and an amazing view of the mountains across the river. The front porch was a great place to hang out and watch the sun set on the mountains. The porch being accessed by a ramp is great for those with problems with stairs, as well as the shower being a walk in without a step over a tub edge. The beds were the kind you melt into and shape themselves to your body. As an "active sleeper", they were a bit softer than optimal for me, but did embrace you like a warm hug. It was nothing fancy, had what we needed and would definitely recommend!

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The quiet peaceful farm welcomed us along with Kika’s daughter who entertained my own kids for a bit. The misty fog enveloped us and the toot toots of the train sung us their sad songs. We even saw a herd of elk one morning! We loved this stay!

we enjoyed our stay very much, after our afternoon iin the car how wonderful if was to kick off our shoes on the back pourch in two rocking chairs and to listen to the river flow. Our room was very clean, the host was very helpful and responded quickly to our only issue, we needed more sugar. Couldn't have been any happier with our selection and strongly recommend Karey's to all in the area

Loved the space! Much more roomy than the photos showed. The couch was so comfy and the bed was great. Location is in the heart of the town with the park and so many walking paths right out your door. Trailhead taproom is so close and has delicious food and drink options. Jamie was so communicative, informative and respinsive. I wouldn't hesitate to book again!

The view did not disappoint! Wonderful little slice of the PNW, great location and a relaxing stay. As mentioned in other reviews, WiFi did not work- bring your own hotspot!

A+! Peaceful with a fantastic view across the Gorge and only 5 min to restaurants, brewery, and grocery store. Our hosts stocked the essentials (coffee, basic cooking foodstuffs, toiletries) so there was no need for a rushed shopping trip on arrival. Great information on everything to do in the area and friendly, responsive hosts. Will be our go to ABNB in the Gorge/Colombia River area when we come back.

Great spot! Super walkable which is what we were looking for. The place was exactly as described (quirks of an older house included). If you’re looking for a clean, nice spot to sleep at night with a gorgeous view to wake up to and coffee/restaurants in walking distance this is the perfect place. We were also able to walk across the bridge to the river so we rarely had to drive which was great!

Libby and Craig were wonderful hosts, and the space they provided was wonderful, cozy and inviting. There was plenty of privacy! I loved the isolation of the place, and it was a beautiful location, but in March it was very cloudy obscuring some of the views of the location. It provided a great base of operations for me and my partner to check out the local area and go on hikes. I forgot my jacket after checkout and texted Libby to see if I could return to get it, and they were very helpful and responded quickly to help me get my jacket back. I would recommend any space hosted by them!

Great place to stay right near downtown!

This location is the perfect spot for walkability to all downtown Hood River offers! Cute and smartly decorated with all your needs available. Loved the back covered patio too. Perfect spot for morning coffee! It was great having the two bathrooms so two people can get ready at once. Generous sized bedroom and two tvs also! Fast internet if you need to get some work done. The dining table was great size because you could easily seat 4 people or pull it out to seat six OR dine on the covered patio! We will be back!

Great location to walk around Hood River all day and return to the condo whenever you want to drop off bags, change clothes, it whatever else. We will return again.

Lyudmila and Jim are terrific hosts! We had a great stay at their condo in Hood River. The location is great - right on the main street of Hood River (Oak St.) located near all sorts of restaurants and shops - there's even a nice coffee shop right downstairs. The big windows allow you to look out over Oak St. and see the pretty shops below. The condo itself is spacious, well appointed, and very clean! The hosts are very communicative and friendly. We had a wonderful time at this property and will be back!

Was a pleasant stay, many thanks… had to call to get my code for door , the ap didn’t update with that info until after we left, but all was good onsite!

I gave a 5-star review because I truly loved the house, especially the large windows, amazing master bathroom, back porch area and hottub, location and the small touches like paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, laundry and dish soap, etc. Walmart is 1/2 mile away. We did have an issue with the thermostat, however it was taken care of. My main concern was that I was traveling with my 73 year old Mother. I was not aware of all the stairs in the home. Upon entry there is a huge set of stairs to get to the living, dining, kitchen and main floor restroom. Once on the main floor, there are two more sets of stairs that take you to the bedrooms on the upper level. My Mother ended up sleeping in the recliner most of the time. This was actually the first time I stayed in a Airbnb that had recliners in the living room, they were great! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the price was lower than most in the area considering the size of the home and the amenities. I would stay again!
