Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sitio de Calahonda

Our Haven, Happiness and Sun for the 6th time the last week of October. Enjoying one last time beautiful and often still hot days by the pool or in the huge jacuzzi of this superb villa is a boon, a delight, a delight … before the long and sad winter days we know in Belgium. We are excited about Morten's villa and its surroundings, including the small town of Fuengirola. Go ahead!!! Gigi

This place was amazing. Beautiful views, secure location, immense privacy. Recommended to have a rental car for arrival, it’s quite the drive to get to the location. The pictures don’t do the view justice, it’s breathtaking! You have your own space to sit back and enjoy the view, or you can just enjoy the view from the privacy of your own room! What I love about this room is if you don’t wanna look at the view anymore, you can shut the blinds for more privacy. These aren’t just any blinds, they are metal blinds that close at the flick of a switch. Amazing. Also comes with a smart tv, and very good WiFi. Don’t sleep on this place on your next stop to Malaga. Couples recommended, but hey, I went alone. 🤷‍♂️

We had a great time. Short drive to the sea or town and 50m walk to the heated pool! Nicolas was very friendly and helpfull.

Isabelle was always prompt and helpful in her communication. The complex was very peaceful with a nice swimming pool and was in easy walking distance of the beach.

Catalina is a great host. She is flexible and caring. She put extra effort to guide you, so that you can feel right at home. will definitely stay again if come back.☺️

We had a relaxing 4 days in this accommodation, which we used on the one hand as a location for day trips and on the other hand for working remotely. Both worked wonderfully, the wifi is fast and reliable, the location of the apartment is ideal for exploring the east side of Malaga. And for short walks on the beach you leave the apartment and stand in the sand after 2 minutes:) The apartment itself is tastefully decorated and offered everything necessary, only oil for cooking was missing, but the nearest smaller merchant is right across the house and the larger Carrefour is also only an 8-minute walk away. Highlighted is the large cozy double bed. The host was exemplary in terms of speed and kindness. I would highly recommend this place.

Excellent location, the apartment did not disappoint - amazing views from the 13th floor balcony. After walking around the lovely coastline for 45 mins to the harbour we found a 5 min walk to the harbour the next day! Excellent all around - was lovely to be able to spend time with friends in a “home” environment rather than going back to our respective hotel rooms - would definitely return. Very nice view from the terrace! Place was clean and exactly as described. Close to Malaga downtown and supermarkets nearby. Only comment is there was no toilet paper and we weren't sure where we can hang out our wet laundry

We visited in a large (11 person) family group to celebrate my dad’s special birthday. The villa was as described; beautiful, spacious, large covered pool (which was ideal as we could use it all day and not worry about children getting sunburn). Stef was a great host - very helpful and super responsive. We had a couple of days of extreme heat, which sent the ants indoors, but Stef came by within a couple of hours of me mentioning it to clear and spray the affected room, with a promise of calling in pest control if the problem persisted (which it didn’t). Highly recommend for a group visit. A short walk to the nearest beach, a couple of nice local restaurants, a stone-throw from the airport (7 min drive) with parking for up to 3 cars. Thank you Stef!

We stayed with our puppy for 5 nights and had an amazing time! The house is great and has everything you need. The garden with the pool was so nice. Outdoor seating area was great for morning coffee and some relaxation. Nice little restaurants walking distance. Great to have a parking spot. We would definitely come back! Thank you Abe! 🌟

Just arrived home after a 2 week stay at this beautiful villa. What a great find, the location was perfect so we could walk to all restaurants and bars and 2 good supermarkets within walking distance also. The neighbourhood where the villa is situated is very up market and very quiet which was ideal. Weather was amazing which was a bonus. The villa was spotless, large bedrooms and bathrooms and the pool area was superb. Ana and Sergio were perfect hosts, we had a late flight on the day we arrived and they got us a few groceries I had asked for and they were all waiting when we arrived. The villa is a true home from home and was so sad to be leaving, a true gem of a find. We will be returning for certain 😍. Ps The fruit trees are a real eye opener 🍋🍊🥑

The location of the apartment is excellent, a short trip everywhere, the apartment is clean and has everything you need, the host is friendly and available, only in the morning was noisy from the street, maybe people came back from nightclubs, if you're sleepy can cause a nuisance.

We had a great stay. Both contacts were very friendly and helpful. Extremely quick responses in app. The property was very well situated with easy bus links into town and down to the university area where we found restaurants, cafe's and play parks for the little ones. There are a few local restaurants in walking distance. The property it's self was clean and tidy with everything you need. It's a quiet suburb which was nice. Plenty of space to relax during the days and evening without being stuck in one room.

Amazing Amazing!!! If you looking for peaceful and great views, then this is the place. Dived is well equipped the place from all aspects. The location is fabulous for who love rural areas and the Malaga downtown is just 20mins driving. Really do not have a second thought when plan to rent it. After being on Airbnb for very many years and using plenty of properties here, I can say that this villa was one of the best places I rented. But what made it absolutely special is how accommodating and kind William was. Nothing was too much trouble, he was extremely nice and made us feel at home immediately. Apart from that - villa was amazingly equipped, it feels new and very well taken care of. The view from the villa is stunning. Kids have plenty of space to play. Overall, amazing place and we really hope to come back!!!

What a wonderful Villa we’ve stayed in. Everything was great. Steve even got us a square table for us so we can play cards. Well worth the money. Highly recommended.

Incredible outdoor space and views. I would give the outside 6 stars. The kitchen, living room, main bedroom and ensuite are all top drawer. Parking can be tricky in Mijas, beds in the twin room could be a little bigger and we could have done with the villa warming up before we arrived, but these are minor quibbles compared to the positives of sitting on thr terrace and soaking up that sunrise.

Host was very communicative, location was great, and we had a wonderful time!

We had a fantastic week in Sebastian's house. The house is so beautiful with many decorations and details, we loved the romantic estetics and flowers everywhere. The garden and the heated pool was perfect for relaxing and playing. The kitchen was well equipped and had a lot of room. Perfect for a big family.
