Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Siem Reap Province

I was a bit nervous travelling to Cambodia as a solo female, but my experience of the country was beautiful, mostly because I stayed at Papaya! From pre-trip communication, to airport pick-up, to assistance arranging tuktuks, to delicious food, Tola and his family looked after me so well. Please be aware, this is a village homestay so there are bugs, and animals, and dust/dirt - but that is all part of the fun!

Our family of four absolutely loved our stay at Rika's place in Siem Reap. The property is far enough from town to be peaceful but close enough to get there in 7 min via tuktuk. There were often tuktuks right outside the gate, but if not, we were always able to get one via Grab within just a few minutes. We were also able to have food delivered via Grab when we didn't feel like going out. The pool was great, as were the on-site massages that Rika arranged at our request. Our kids improved their pool shooting skills, we had plenty of space to spread out, and the AC worked perfectly in the bedrooms. The house is surrounded by nature, and the kitchen is open to the outdoors (as we also had the living room to help it cool off at night), so if you are squeamish about small bugs, you may want to stay in a hotel instead. Little nature friends don't bother us much, and this is Cambodia, so hopefully if you're here you realize that already. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again

If it's your first time in Cambodia / Siem Reap and you want an experience that's more authentic than just hotels and tours, Christy's place is the perfect introduction to the world of Siem Reap. The apartment is a treehouse bungalow, like many houses in Cambodia. It's in a very residential area... off the main road and down some alley-type places. It's the kind of place you probably wouldn't normally go if you're a tourist. That said, it's perfectly safe and the locals are accustomed to seeing foreign faces walking around so I didn't feel at all uncomfortable walking down these alley ways... even quite late at night. Christy seems to have a lot of friends and associates to the area and I had lots of opportunity to meet new people through Christy. My week at Siem Reap was extremely social. And the crowd who you meet are a good bunch. Summary: if it's your first time in Siem Reap, at least do a few nights here.

This is really a special place and I am so glad we found it. It is in the middle of the national park and, as such, surrounded by beautiful nature. if you are thinking to stay a night (or two) in Kulen this is the spot for you. The campsite is equipped with modern and clean facilities. But what makes this place even more super is the property manager, Bounty. He is so hospitable, so kind and so ready to help that we felt right at home. And the local staff, while not speaking much English, are always cheerful and courteous. This said, it is true that you will sleep in a tent and you will have to say goodbye to some comforts, but we thought it was totally worth it. A piece of advice to the owners would be to advertise this place more as I think more people will want to come and to adjust prices a little, it is on the more expensive side. In any case we would totally recommend and do it again.

If you are looking for a place in Cambodia which feels like home away from home , this is the place. David and Dani are exceptional hosts who are clear in communication. Rooms are very spacious as described, clean and everything works as expected. They offer various other services within the premises as well. Light breakfast is also available. Most busy streets and restaurants are walking distance from the room while the hotel itself is located in a green location. Get ready to explore Sieam Reap !

I left this experience so touched and inspired by the hard work, care and love that both Sreytoch and Peter put in to the home, meals, tours, and sustainable living! Every meal was delicious and healing. They grow a lot of ingredients themselves or source them organic from the local markets. I got to observe and help pick some fruits like jackfruit and star fruit, the freshest I’ve tasted. They even made me a yummy free dessert from red bananas we got from Kulen mountain. Sreytoch took me on the tours herself and made sure to beat the crowds and try some local vegan sweets on the way as well. There’s many things to experience around the home stay, but the tours are really well curated picking the best and most meaningful spots, It was a spiritually charged experience for me. The home has lots of beautiful plants, flowers, spots to relax and a little view point. All super clean, cozy with great amenities like extra blankets. I loved the outdoor shower. So grateful, hope to be back :)

I was provided with free transport from the bus station (special thanks). The host is very knowledgeable in English and was always very kind. There is nothing nearby, but this plus home is very quiet and peaceful
