This is a elegant retreat on two levels including a large kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom and upstairs bedrooms and living area. For families there are child locks, stair gates, cot and high chair available upon request. Part of the downstairs is locked off for work space and will be in use through the day. The guest accommodation upstairs has a double bedroom and a twin room. we have a listing for each room but only let one out at a time or the full floor ( check my profile for listings ) so you will have the bathroom to yourselves. In the morning you will have the option of a cooked breakfast I also accommodate vegan and vegetarian. We are surrounded by the sea so there is always plenty going on and things to look at, so bring your binoculars!!! we look forward to seeing you.

Ervhouse Bed and Breakfast (private bathroom)

Ervhouse is a Grade C listed farmhouse situated near the edge Weisdale Voe. It has enjoyed a busy life since it was built as the factor's house for Kergord House in 1856. The west wing which faces the sea was added in the 1880s when it became a halfway house where horses were changed travelling to the westside of Shetland. The ground floor rooms were used as a waiting room, where passengers could sit by the fire or they could rent the rooms upstairs.

Lovely double room, private bathroom 8 miles from Lerwick. Spectacular views! Continental breakfast. On bus route. Close by are walks, wildlife, culture & lochs for fishing :) Perfectly placed for touring & central to all key visitor attractions, beaches and local amenities. 1 mile from Tingwall airport (to Foula) Nearest eatery is Lerwick or Scalloway. Whiteness shop is a mile away. Use of microwave to heat light meals by prior arrangement :)

Spacious Master En-Suite in Lerwick

We stayed at Andrea's B&B for 5 nights when visiting Shetland on holiday. We chose it because Lerwick is quite central when driving to see the far corners of Shetland. Our room had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfy and - a so were the pillows, which is equally as important! Also worth noting is how clean every room was. My husband commented that he couldn't see a single cobweb anywhere, in any room, even with all the high ceilings, picture rails and decorative coving. The shower cubicle was generous in size and there was plenty of storage space in the bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast is continental style and there was always a huge choice. We could go for breakfast at any time but Andrea always popped out to say hello and have a chat - along with her very sweet and well behaved little dog. I can't recommend Andrea's place highly enough if you are looking for a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay!

This was such a great place! thing was wonderful in giving suggestions of things to do, restaurants to eat at, and ways to make my trip memorable. Jane was an outstanding host, and had breakfast, and often times lunch or dinner ready throughout the day. Her and her husband were so lovely to talk to and spend time with. They introduced me to friends of theirs, and even invited me out for dinner with them. This was so nice since I was traveling alone. I felt like when I left I had many friends in Lerwick. It was such a special vacation for me!

Nice to see the hotel back open with a friendly welcome and nothing to much trouble. Was made to feel at home, restaurant and bar were open and although an issue with the fryer it did not stop very tasteful meals which were well presented and reasonably priced. Continental breakfast was available with a good selection and cooked breakfast on request. Thought had been put into the accommodation, the hotel had recently been decorated, bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean with refreshments available.

Julie's place is quite wonderful in all regards. Historic, comfortable, and a beautiful setting. A superb breakfast is included, and optional dinner is highly recommended. Monkfish was served! And Julie even packed us a takeaway lunch! The hosts are wonderfully friendly and fun. This is not your average self-catered Airbnb experience. Prepare yourself to be catered to!
