Places to stay in Sherburne

Hosts communication was excellent. Very snowy for our visit… parking area had snow cleared for arrival. Property was exactly as described. Easy check in and out. Good location for Colgate university (less than 15 minute drive).

A perfect spot for my daughter, grandson and I to stay in my home town to visit family for a few days. The loft is in a great location, extremely comfortable and clean. Sheila provided us with fruit, bread, coffee, tea and other items which surpassed any other Airbnb that I have stayed. I wasn’t able to meet her but communication by text was prompt and friendly! I highly recommend staying here.

This historic home is a great place to call home for a visit to the area! It has some great modern renovations and yet still maintains its charming creaks in the hardwood and slopes in floors. We loved staying here. The hosts also offer fantastic hospitality! We knew we could call upon them if we needed anything, but the house had everything we needed even a garment steamer for a dress (in addition to an iron). It was fantastic that it is only short drive (minutes)from Beardslee Castle. It is a great landing spot if you have an event there or want to explore the area for hikes or venture to Cooperstown for baseball. We needed to secure extra quilts bc our southern roots showed when it got chilly at night! But we found them in the upstairs wardrobe and were grateful. The beds were comfortable and supportive and it was overall a wonderful weekend stay. Thank you!

We had a lovely weekend at this beautiful home. Most significant for us: bedrooms on the first floor so that our senior could get around easily. Kitchen and dining area were terrific and could host many for a meal. Kitchen has all the necessarily appliances for a full stay. The house is decorated very nicely; beds were comfortable; enough pillows for everyone; and the lounge area was super comfy when we caught up on the news. Bathrooms were great. We loved to local touches and this house is clearly set up to satisfy a range of visitors. The hosts responded so quickly when we had a question or two. Overall, this was a great choice for us as we were visiting friends nearby, and we will probably book this again on a future trip.

Martha's place was great! it was so cozy and I felt at home. It was a great size for myself and my two sons. The location is perfect; you are only minutes away from everthing you would need in town. The place was clean and I appreciated the thoughtful touches around the house for guests. I would stay again without hesitation!

All i can say is wow, what a perfect place! My father passed and we needed somewhere for my siblings to stay together as we live all over the country....this place was spacious, serene and wonderful. Thank you for making a difficult time a little easier.

He went above and beyond for our family and made us feel like we were home away from home.

This rental was perfect for what we needed it for. House is spacious enough where each of us had space to do our own thing but also a great open living room. Only a couple miles from downtown Cooperstown which made our trip to/from the perfect short ride. Would recommend for any small groups making a weekend trip to the HOF and just needing a place for R&R before and after.
