Family-friendly vacation rentals in Setauket- East Setauket

We had the best thanksgiving trip here! It was beautiful and the space worked so well. We all loved it and would definitely recommend and come back another time! The view of the beach is incredible and lovely walks close by, the little town is cute and it was exactly what we wanted and not too far from the city, but we really felt like we were far away from any of the city busyness it was lovely!

My family was in town for a funeral, and we were able to book Victoria's home and save versus booking multiple hotel rooms. The location is minutes of I-95, so the home gave us a nice, central home base with a kitchen to get to everything and feed the kiddos between events. While we weren't looking for a beach trip - we were able to walk to the local beach and enjoy it with our young kids for a few hours over the weekend. The home was clean, comfortable, and worked perfectly for us. Communicating with Victoria was very easy, and check in/out was a piece of cake as there is a lock box on the house. If I need to bring the family back to the Stamford area, we'll definitely want to stay at Victoria's home again! Thanks!

We lived in this property for 6 weeks with our kids and loved every moment! The house is very cozy and family friendly, it feels like you're staying in your cousins house. There is plenty of space for kids to hang out, books, and a great kitchen to prep meals. There is a good working space too. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful, and you can walk 10-20 mins and find resturants, parks, and the train station to the city. For members of the Jewish community- you'll find Kosher food and synagogues nearby. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive, they took great care of us and came by several times to help us with what we needed. Our experience was the best we could have hoped for and we hope to be back for another stay. Other reviews mentioned the bathroom doors being see-through, you can just tape some paper on them, it's not a big deal. This house was a lovely place for our family trip! Our party of 4 had plenty of room to spread out, beach is just a few min away, along with restaurants, shops etc. There is plenty of room in the backyard, but my family really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and playing cards. Everything we needed was there, and all questions answered quickly! I would definitely book again!!

We spent a week at Joe‘s house and couldn’t be happier. The house, property, and surrounding area was amazing. Everything was super clean, and you won’t find a spot like this anywhere else. The master bathroom is incredible. Already trying to figure out how I can replicate that shower in my own house lol. would recommend this place 100%

What an incredible place! Best location! Hot tub is wonderful! Neighborhood is so quiet! The house was perfect for our group of 7! Comfy beds! Fully stocked house! We will be back next year for sure!!! Amazing times with my friends at this house!! Thank you!!

We loved our stay at the "tree house", you're literally among the top of the trees all around. Our favorite place was the large wrap-around deck with very comfortable couches and dining table. We ate all our meals outside for 18 days. Gorgeous views and sunsets. Beach access was 5 minutes down a private path, leading to an almost private beach. Another favorite place was the hot tub, a big hit for out grandkids. There was also a sauna, which we did not use. Cee responded to our questions within 10 minutes, even from Europe. ..great host.

The Airbnb was prepared perfectly! Everything was clean and organized. Great experience!

Loved staying at Diana's .... especially her backyard... it truly was like have a park right outside the house and the birds... oh my goodness..so many at her birdfeeder..

Chris’s place was perfect. We were there for a wedding and the home was perfectly described, along with its location. Clear instructions and Chris was very communicative and answered any questions I had. Would definitely recommend for a stay in West Hampton.

Stan’s place was perfect for the trip. The place was clean, the location was convenient, and there was plenty of space. The extra amenities and friendliness of the host made us feel right at home. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Pamela's for about a month while working in the area, and it was the perfect home away from home. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a long-term stay, including a well-equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi for remote work, and comfortable bedding for restful nights. Pamela was incredibly responsive and ensured we had all the information we needed, even checking in with us occasionally to make sure we were settled. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and reliable spot for an extended stay. We’d definitely return if we're in the area again!

Appreciated Gregory being friendly and thorough, meeting us in person, giving us a tour of the place upon arrival, and the charm factor of this house. The kitchen was very well stocked and usable, there was a lot of community space and a lot of bedrooms and beds, so it was great for our purpose.

Great, responsive and accommodating host. Very nice, homey place to stay in fire island and enjoy the beach. The house is also very close to the dock for the ferry and water taxi.

Wally’s place is advertised. More an old school beach house than a luxury stay. A bit no frills, but it certainly had what our group needed, and the location more than makes up for it. The design is a bit unorthodox (kitchen/living room separate from the rest of the house), but worked for us. Make sure you watch the video tour, as it provides a more accurate view of the house than the photos. ACs functioned, grill heated up, speaker connected, and always enjoy an outdoor shower. Easy 5 min walk from the ferry (less if you’re not carrying bags) and even shorter walk to the beach. Really enjoyed Kismet, just a quiet, friendly neighborhood and a nice break from real life. Wally was very responsive, making sure to touch base before check-in and check-out, and we were able to leave our bags on the porch after checkout to get some extra time on the beach, which we certainly appreciated.

It was a wonderful stay. We appreciated how open, bright and private this home is with a gorgeous pool and beautiful grounds. We enjoyed walking down to the bay and into town where everyone was friendly and helpful. Jamie was responsive when help needed with something in the house. I was in town for work and Gaby's place was perfect. It's a lovely finished basement apartment in a beautiful home in Stony Brook. Perfect for a single person or couple looking for a comfortable, affordable, and safe place in the area. I would absolutely book again if I needed to.

Alison's Farmhouse exceeded our expectations in every way. We felt right at home there and were impressed to find the house stocked with essentials needed for the trip- such as spices, condiments, extra bedding etc. We all enjoyed the side porch and the fireplace in the evenings and loved that it provided an opportunity for some to be in side watching tv and the rest to be outside. We hope to return next year!

The space is adorable, and we loved the history of the rental and the community. The location was perfect for us—close to everything and secluded all at the same time. Also Jeff is an amazing host and made us feel welcome/at home. The next time we have to head to NY for a family visit we will definitely try to stay here again.

I have stayed at Jean Francois home several times. I always feel comfortable there. His home is spotless, easy to travel to, close to town, lot’s a great shops and restaurant’s and in a beautiful area. Jean Francois is also very friendly and responsive when I communicate. It’s a lovely space and I can’t wait to return!
