Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Sarnia

The Hemlock retreat was exactly what we needed for parents of two little kids to get away for a few days. The house was absolutely spotless! The kitchen and dining area was airy and bright with beautiful views of the woods. We watched deer, turkey and woodpeckers during meals. We enjoyed hiking along the creek and through the forest; it's clear that the owners love this property and put a lot of effort into the forest management. The sauna, fireplace and large tub were so nice for warming up. They even provided firewood. The owners house is nearby, but all the main windows face the other direction towards the woods, so we felt like we had lots of privacy. The bed is on the softer side but we slept comfortably. The smart tv was great, and I loved having access to the Sonos speaker in the kitchen so I could play music while cooking. Overall we would definitely come back; it was the perfect stay despite the cold march weather so I imagine it's beautiful in every season. Thank you!

Very spacious and clean property. All appliances including coffee were available . Great views and very peaceful. Highly recommend this property, will definitely look to rent again!

FALL GETAWAY-Stayed Oct 18-20, 2024 with friends. The surroundings at this cottage in the fall are absolutely beautiful lots of fall colours and wildlife. There's a lovely beach just down the road we had great weather so it was nice to go for a walk, very peaceful not allot of people this time of year. We had dinner at Macphersons on Friday night which was very good and pizza the following night at Grogs which was also very good. Host Rebecca was wonderful, helpful, very worry free experience. Great cottage very clean had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. Fantastic getaway to unwind and enjoy the outdoors would highly recommend.

My husband and son spend the days with our granddaughter. They loved the ease of walking to the lake and the peacefulness. They said it was very clean and just what they needed. Thank you.

Such a beautiful place to walk into..you are instantly drawn to the beautiful outdoors and you're happy, then you look around and feel happy again! It feels fresh and like a huge deep breath is released and then instant relaxation!! Definitely what I needed!!!

Whether you fish or just want to stay at a conveniently located place surrounded by good eats and close to a local summer hotspot, this is your place. It is pet friendly and, with an air mattress, suites four. Internet access was great, no mechanical issues with the house. If you want to see the holiday lights on Jefferson avenue, it's two minutes away. Detroit Institute of Arts is 48 minutes, Armada about 1.5 hours. Sunrise at the very large MI DNR lot was stunning.

We stayed here with our wedding party for our wedding weekend. There was ample space for everyone to stay, plenty of bathrooms with great shampoo/conditioner. The bride and bridesmaids got ready at this house before the event and there was plenty of room for two makeup artists and a hair stylist without feeling crowded at all. Bonus is that it was super close to our venue! Overall the house is beautiful, the service was great and we would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

Louise went above and beyond for my bachelorette party / wedding weekend!! She was the best host I have ever had and I couldn’t have imagined a better weekend! I am very glad we booked with her!! We had a lovely stay. Nice and quiet. There is a private beach close by which was really nice with a beautiful sunset. Host is amazing and would stay again!

Enjoyed our time in the area. I'm from the lake area and enjoyed being centrally located to friends and family. Its a quiet location for the most part. Commonly refered to as a carriage house, located over the garage, you do here conversations and comings and goings of people adjacent to the property. We found everything we needed in the apartment. Bed was firm. which we enjoy, very cofortable. Linens were nice and served our stay well. Heating and cooling worked well and there was ample hot water. It takes a bit to reach the upstairs, but once it does, the pressure is good. Be aware that the stairway up is quite steep...may not be suitable for some. There are hand rails and a light in the stairway. There are a number of restaurants in the area...M29 diner is a favorite and Marine City Fish Company just up the river is also one of our area favorites. We would maybe stay here again if in the area, but think we prefer fully private dwellings.

This place has been one of the best places I have been to. Charlene and John are really great people who are welcoming, made us feel like home with everything available as described. The location and ambiance is great with peaceful environment and beach is just 10 minutes drive. Amenities like hot-tub, fireplace made the experience even better. We highly recommend visiting this place.

Roland is a wonderful host! we stayed at his cottage during a snow storm and he was so accommodating about changing dates, early check-in and he offered that we can go back if get stuck in snow! we really appreciate that! the cottage looks waaaay better than the photos! all bedrooms were so spacious and the beddings were super comfortable! the whole cottage was at a super comfortable temptemperature aall the time! we had an excellent experience and we would recommend this cottage 100%!

My bestie & I celebrated our 40th Friend Anniversary and it was perfect. We had a bonfire, which was set up by Yvonne’s son, roasted marshmallows and had a really peaceful night. In the morning we spent time feeding the Alpacas, took a walk with them and looked at the little shop. It was a wonderful stay and we will be back.

Had a great stay! Cottage was perfect for a last minute vacation. Only slight complaint was the coffee makers. I am a coffee lover & wasn't able to make a full pot of coffee. Otherwise very good!

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely place! Even though the weather was not on our side, I really enjoyed just being at the cottage. It was very peaceful to chill inside or outside in the sun and by the fire pit at night. My dog made herself right at home! I also enjoyed walking the neighbourhood with my pup where we were kindly greeted by others in the area. During our stay we checked out Grand Bend and the nearby beach in port franks. I was amazed at how nice and clean they were. Would definitely want to stay here again!

The cottages are quaint & cozy. # 4 has a spectacular view of Lake Huron from inside, as well as, from the private deck. It is a perfect place for a weekend get-a-way to relax & refresh.

Fantastic experience at Brent & Jessica’s cabin! Everything was very clean, well built and thought out. The provided booklet of local attractions/restaurants was greatly appreciated. There is a detailed guide to the cabin and helpful instructions for everything at the cabin including the wood stove and outhouse/shower. The kitchen is very well stocked as far as consumables, basic kitchen tools, salt/pepper/oil and fixin’s for coffee/tea. Outdoor appliances were clean & easy to use. The bed was great with plenty of blankets/pillows. Outside there was games and a lovely fire pit area with picnic table and chairs. A feature I greatly appreciated was the abundance of split, dry firewood and fire starter. The trail around the creek was nice to check out as well. Overall wonderful cabin/camping experience. We would recommend this place to anybody looking for a secluded getaway!
