SS VILLAGE KEKEZI

CharlesRating, 5 stars1 month ago
memorable Vila with character, felt like resting in an antique store or my parents' home. Was a fun change of pace from the normal hotels. Parking was not a problem because the host's father met us upon arrival and led us where to park. The location was good.. midway point between the castle and bazaar and the foothills.

Kubeja Guest House

KarelRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The perfect guesthouse to explore Gjirokaster! Look no further, just book before it's full!!! No private kitchen in the otherwise authentic house, but a delicious and varied breakfast is at the hour you wish for you in the beautiful courtyard. A little further down the road you eat at sunset with beautiful views at Taverna Panorama Zhuli with a very sweet couple and also in Hotel Restaurant Bineri we ate delicious!

New house

ArlintRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We enjoyed our stay at Paris's home. It is a big house, located in between the mountains, with free parking right outside of it, balcony and garden in which you can sit enjoy the view in the morning and turn off at night. It truly is a place where you can become one with the nature. The house is absolutely spotless and very spacious. It is capable of comfortably hosting a family, as it has a big kitchen-living room area, a spacious bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The area is close to tourist attractions, such as the Blue Eye, the city of Sarandë, Lëkursi and many more. You also have mini markets, bakeries and everything else you may need in a distance of 5 minutes. Their restaurant by the house has delicious, fresh from the garden and low-priced menu. This added extra pleasure to our stay. They also offer their free breakfast, where the portions were incredible and the food was extremely tasty. The people working were incredible and made you fee like you are home! I will visit again.

Guva Guest House 201

MartynaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
An exceptional Airbnb stay! The hosts are welcoming & make you feel like home. The experience was perfect because of the couple who made us feel like part of the family. The breakfast was delicious. The views from the terrace and the room are breathtaking. The room cosy & clean. The location is close to the castle & the old bazaar but do prepare for some walking up & down hills as that’s part of the beauty of Gjirokastër. We recommend this stay to anyone visiting the city & hope to be back next year!

Hotel Villa Ago- 1st floor

LorenzoRating, 5 stars19 months ago
I had a great time and if I were to return to the area I would definitely consider coming back here. The accommodation is near the center of Permet, there are the main amenities and the location is quiet. Shanas' grandmother welcomed us, a delightful person who speaks only Albanian. There were minor glitches, plumbing issues, and no blinds or curtains for the night. As negligible things , overall the judgment remains very positive . Thanks and see you next time

Enjoy authentic grandma's farm!

KeeRating, 5 stars26 months ago
Don't think about it. Just book this place now! This was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. I was staying in Sarande at a hotel prior to booking this place. The hotel was great but I wanted something closer to the REAL Albania. I found it here. I was actually surprised that I found this place on Airbnb. It was old school Airbnb...where someone opens up their home to you and you are able to experience the hospitality of the host or hostess. It's not your typical Airbnb place either. This is a typical family farm that is found in so many places in eastern Europe. It is not the kind of farm you would find in Canada or the US that are hundred of acres in size. The home is situated on about 0.5 acres or 0.2 hectares of land surrounded by the typical rock walls you find surrounding many homes in Albania. What kind of animals do you find here? Chickens, sheep, goats, rabbits and even ducks. Yes, there is a garden for vegetables and grape vines throughout the property. Please don't think this a petting zoo farm... this is a working family farm that provides food for the family and you if you stay here. It is a modest home that has been in the family for many years, it is on a plot of land that has provided the food and shelter for the family for countless generations. I have nothing but enormous respect for the hostess and her family. It was the kind of home that my parents grew up in Ukraine. This is what attracted me to this place. These people are salt of the earth. Humble, happy and proud. Respect. I could write a short book about my stay here. To sum up, it was wonderful. I have stayed at my fair share of Airbnb places, but this is my most favorite place ever. I did not want to leave and I do plan to return and stay much longer than the ~10 days I was there. What are the highlights of my visit? 1. The hostess Alexandra and her dear mother. Real people. 2. Coffee with fresh goat milk every morning. Yes, it's that good. 3. The sunrise in the valley. Breathtaking. 4. The amazing hikes up the mountain and in through the valley. There are so many ruins and hidden cool places to discover. 5. Taking the goats and sheep grazing in the morning. Yes I did that!!! 6. I'm not going to give it all away...book this place and I'll let you discover all the wonderful things here on your own. Alexandra and her mother don't speak English. This was not a problem at all. I downloaded the microsoft translator to my phone. It allows two people to communicate back and forth at the push of a button. It made communicating with the hostess very easy. I had many wonderful conversations with Alexandra and her dear mother many times using this translator. So you will be just fine. Look... this is a farm. It smells like a farm where the animals live and it has bugs...get over it. If you are looking for Disney World or the Ritz Carlton...look somewhere else. This place is perfect the way it is and I will be returning in the near future. The apartment is clean and well equipped. The internet works great. My cell phone worked just fine. It has a great stove for cooking and a washing machine to wash your clothes. It has a TV, but why would you watch TV when you are in such a wonderful environment to explore? There are places to buy groceries to cook food...OR...you can arrange with Alexandra to prepare meals for you each day. That is what I did. Breakfast and dinner. So I didn't have to cook or buy anything extra to survive. It's up to you. I chose to eat home cooked food from the farm...how can you beat that??? There is so much more to say...but... Don't think about it. Just book this place now!

Villa family Bitri

PriscillaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We were welcomed by Anna's mother who even when we didn't speak our language was super nice and available in everything. It was like being at a grandmother's place. There are 3 bathrooms and the kitchen is very large to eat together. Cozy garden with lots of kittens. Top location for getting around the hymare region (the most beautiful for beaches). Away from chaos and the perfect nightlife for those who want a relaxed and cute location. Very good restaurants nearby.

Patio Room 02-Cozy double room with castle view

AmyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. When we arrived the host greeted us and took us on a tour of the house, to our room, and told us about the local recommendations. The view from the house is breathtaking as you see the lower part of the city, mountains, Bazaar and castle. The room was spotless and had everything you needed. Breakfast was made by the host every morning and was delicious. The location was perfect too as only a 15 walk into the city or into the old town. Neither me or my partner have a bad word to say. It was fantastic and we didn’t want to leave. 10/10 recommend!!!!

This was a wonderful experience and one of my favorite stays. Irsida and her family were so kind and hospitable, always quick to reply to any questions or concerns. The room was immaculate, and the view from the balcony was amazing. It’s a 15 min walk to the old town which was nice because we enjoyed staying somewhere calm with a beautiful view and exploring the local streets. Irsida and her husband offered a delicious traditional breakfast that was a highlight on our trip. Absolutely recommend and hope to one day stay again at Irsida’s place.

Overall is good, the price is reasonable, the accommodation is a little old residential building, the host mother and son are welcoming, thank you to the station for picking me up, take my heavy luggage backpack, the room has a private balcony, you can also dry clothes, share the bathroom, clean!Internet good! My mother also prepared me two days of breakfast and juice!Thank you! The only thing that wasn't great was the noise outside and the need to sleep with earplugs!

We received a warm welcome from Sperios with a glass of Reiki. The property is his family home which has totally been renovated with views across the bay and up to the mountains . My favourite part was breakfast underneath the walnut tree with chickens in the garden . Booked for one night and stayed for three. Spiros did everything he could to make us feel welcome, great host, fabulous scenery, best part of the holiday so far. I wish him All the best of luck with his new venture.
