Don’s beautiful VanHoevenberg Ridge has become our home base in the ADK, and a “home away from home” where we return several times a year to relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and lakes in all seasons. This is by far the best place we have stayed since we have been coming to the ADK for over 30 years. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you’ll be back! Don’s place has everything you’ll need, and is near to everywhere you’ll want to go. The views of the High Peaks are stellar, and the hot tub is relaxing after an active day outdoors. Don is a welcoming host who truly cares that his guests have the best experience, whether avid hikers or simply wanderers seeking serenity and renewal in the woods and waters near his home. He respects your privacy, but is happy to provide his knowledge of the area to find the best hike or paddle for you. This place is our North Star in the ADK: bright, constant, and a place we’ll always look to return to. We recommend it highly to everyone!

We had a wonderful stay. We’re a group of 4 mostly retired couples. Linda’s place was perfect for our needs. We used 4 bedrooms each with its own bathroom, comfortable communal space, a dining room that accommodated all of us, and a great kitchen with lots of counter space, utensils, serving dishes, etc. The main bedroom upstairs also had an adjoining suite perfect for families with young children. Linda’s instructions were clear and she was very responsive to all messages. Linda had towels for the hot tub which we loved using after a day of outdoor activity. We highly recommend Linda’s place and look forward to returning next year.

Beautiful home that was very comfortable and spacious for our large group. The outdoor spaces were great. The hosts were very responsive as we had questions come up both before and during our trip. Would definitely book again!

What a beautiful home and location. It was extremely clean and well kept. The surrounds were fitting to make the weekend so relaxing and tranquil. We will absolutely be coming back again, probably in the fall!!!!

Doe-A-Deer was absolutely beautiful, we had a group of 11 that visited for our yearly ski trip for an extended weekend. The house was peaceful, clean, and modern. Only 20 minutes from whiteface mountain. Nice amenities and we loved the fireplace! Would love to stay here again, thanks again!

My family stayed for Easter/spring break to catch the last run at Whiteface and hike. Everything about our stay was great. The house was clean, comfortable and located minutes from everything we were looking to do. Judi was a great host from start to finish. We will definitely be booking with Adirondack vacations and Judi in the future.

Our stay at "The Nest" was just perfect for my husband and I. We wanted a peaceful retreat that we could just relax. Though it was Spring Break in the area so very quiet. Kevin provided us with great recommendations. It was a pleasure to meet Kevin & his 2 dogs, Chloe & Cooper. We did not take advantage of the hot tub, but Kevin did offer the option to us. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We have been renting Tobia’s house for several years. We have been snowmobiling in the area for over 40 years. We started out down the block at the Glenmore in 1984 and prefer the Big Moose Lake area over all others. Toni’s house is very comfortable and warm. See you next year!

This was our second year staying at Carlos’ place for our family ski vacation. It’s so cozy and has plenty of room for my sons’ growing families. Everything is labeled with easy instructions…no need to flip through a manual. The kitchen is a dream and is stocked with every kind of pot, pan, baking dish, utensil or appliance you would need. Carlos was super helpful and accommodating! We’re planning on including Carlos’ place as part of our annual family tradition!
