I would highly recommend this place! Finding a comfortable place to stay, with a heated pool in a safe and quiet area was exactly what we needed. Dodie and her husband are so kind and helpful. We had a huge basket of fresh fruit and Dodie had fresh bread waiting for us. The location is gorgeous and we had so much fun watching the hummingbirds every day. There is a clothes line to dry clothes, although it’s under the covered section and rarely gets direct sunlight - so with the afternoon rains it took a bit longer for our clothes to dry, but it was nice knowing we could wash our clothes on site. We would definitely stay here again in the future when we make it back to San Vito.

It is a comfortable house for three or four people. Impeccable cleanliness and very tidy. Both rooms have air conditioning, which in this area is very necessary. In my opinion, the price is very much in line with what it offers. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and there is a grocery store about three hundred meters away. I would go back.

The space surrounding the place was so beautiful and the property itself was very cozy. All the perfect spot to go as a couple. Mrs. Edisa and Silvia were very communicative at all times. Instructions were clear. The room is ideal for an intimate moment and disconnect. For now there is no internet for remote work, so you can disconnect to relax. It is an excellent place to share as a couple. I would have liked to stay to live hehe. We rest deeply. The patio is spacious and comfortable. Everything was very clean. I liked going out to the terrace to see the scenery. Just being in the house gives you peace. The terrain is also spacious but steep. Nice atmosphere. Cool during the day, cold at night. Silvia and Edisa always helped and responded quickly. We recommend arriving during the day to find the location well. At night it can be confusing, but we were able to get there without problems with a 4x4 car. The path for a sedan car is very intense.

We loved the stay at Fila Tortuga! The kitchen was well-appointed for candle light cooking (lanterns were available as well). We really enjoyed cooking there. The dwelling was great with screened-in living. Sounds of birds and nature were everywhere and we enjoyed them from everywhere. It was fun to sit on the porches and watch nature. We also enjoyed going to the beautiful river. We spend a morning sitting in the flowing water and found a great flat rock to lay in the sun. We will definitely come back for more stays. Rudy was very helpful guiding us to Fila Tortuga.

This is an incredible location, really in the forest and a steep walk to get to but you feel alone and adventurous. There was a thriving community of paths and treehouses here once which is quickly being covered by the jungle and this adds to the mystique. the house itself is wonderfully light, spacious and comfortable. some of the other, older treehouses are really dark and deep in the forest . we will try to return

Very nice house to stay in! The host lives on top floor but we felt like we had all the place for ourselves, especially the pool and outside chilling area. Very nice sight of the mountain when you swim in the pool, and there are a lot of red aras flying around!

Spectacular Jungle Canopy Treehouse Experience

Nice secluded spot up on the mountain, good location if you’re looking for a true off grid experience. Very accurate to the listing, and the message sent of warnings of it being a jungle experience with bugs and a hike to get to. Definitely wouldn’t recommend trying to lug a suitcase or a lot of goods up to the treehouse. We did a river hike from the base camp with waterfalls and swimming pools that was the highlight of our two week trip. It’s an interesting place you’d be hard pressed to match elsewhere. Only negatives aren’t on the host or the property, if members of your group struggle with terrain they may have difficulty reaching the house. A decent 4x4 is also required to climb the hill as others have noted. We did see monkeys, snakes, and a ton of different birds. I would recommend to any adventure seekers.

Excellent place if you are looking for something off the beaten path. Peaceful with incredible views. Las Cruces research station and Wilson botanical Garden are a 20 minute drive away and are spectacular. We are birders and the bird activity in the area was phenomenal. Las Tablas protected nature area was about an hour drive for us and offered some incredible views and a lovely walk through a serene forest with howler monkeys and the three wattled bellbird we were seeking! I do believe four-wheel-drive is necessary to park near the house but even at the bottom of the drive it was a short but steep walk up to the house. The house had everything we needed to cook dinner, towels to shower, and blankets for the chilly evenings. Thank you, Jonathan!

Thank you for sharing your treehouse with us. We enjoyed a short but very memorable stay. The treehouse itself was super comfortable, very well appointed and a luxury in the jungle 😊. We enjoyed the rivers, trails and resting overlooking the vistas. We were pleasantly surprised by the lack of blood thirsty insects! Guess they have better sources of food than my arms and legs. Slept without nets on. We highly recommend a stay at Casa Paraiso! David is an attentive host. Matt and Amy, who live on site, are lovely - they made it so easy to find. We appreciated the communication on all fronts, knowing you’ve had to find a new way forward with booking. My only advice to others would be to book through the community forum - totally easy! Sorry Airbnb

if your passing through San Vito or looking for a quiet mountain town to put your feet up this is the place. My husband and I were backpacking for the last 2 weeks and loved Danny's home. The house was builtwith so much character and love. The views are beautiful. I would highly reccomend this place to anyone.

Super clean, quiet, easy access for vehicles, Emmanuel is super friendly, collaborator, took us around the estate (small hike) to appreciate the view of the area, 100% recommended. We will definitely be back here.

A great place to relax and connect with nature. Any vehicle enters even though the street is cobbled. Despite the private of the place, it is a few minutes from downtown San Vito, where there are excellent restaurants, supermarkets and everything you may need. There is an abundance of activities to do in the area. The place was spotless and the pool ideal for refreshing and exercising in the water.

Easy location to get by car or cab. Very clean and comfortable. Edwin was extremely respectful and responsive.

We are grateful for all the service and friendliness of Mr. Rafael. I help and guide us quickly to look for what to do based on our interests. He put us in touch with guides for tours and was always available to help us with any questions or concerns. The recommendations for places to eat were excellent, we enjoyed a delicious dinner in a restaurant nearby. Everything was pretty clean and clean. The balcony is great for passing the time, seeing the sea or the sunrise. The kitchen is nicely equipped for cooking and is spacious. The bathroom is equally clean, spacious and with good lighting. The beds in the rooms are super comfortable and the air conditioning was luxurious. Highly recommended for tourists or locals who want to live a unique experience and be close to the beach with wonderful views. Also, if you are a nature lover you can find a lot of wildlife in the surroundings like birds and frogs.

Beautiful place, rustick cabin sorrounded by nature. AC worked great. Hosts were very acomodating and flexible with check in and check out times. They gave me good advise. Very nice people. Good breakfast included. Beds were confortable too. This time their internet failed but maybe it was just bad luck. They called inmediatelly to get it fixed.
