Kid-friendly vacation rentals in San Carlos

Great place. Just like in the pictures. Outside the center of La Fortuna but very close if you want to move to enjoy different activities. A very quiet and private place. Very safe. Great hosts, very friendly and respond right away.

Karla is an excellent host. The home we rented from her was great, very private, with great access to a beautiful river and a very nice seating area outside. The house itself is small, we had the maximum number of people in there (six) so the inside space did feel a little bit tight, but it matched the description and we were expecting it. We were there five nights. our kids lover being outside and playing around the river. The house itself is only 12 minutes from the main area of la fortuna so it's pretty easy to access the main area with restaurants and all the different activities. there is a grocery store very close to the place that is very clean. the road right outside the house and for a good stretch looks like it was newly built, and it looked like there were a number of vacation homes built along the way (although the area didnt feel touristy at all and still kept it untouched authentic charm). Karla was excellent to deal with, very responsive to anything we asked. Recommend!

This house is close to so much yet still very peaceful. The host provided detailed instructions and the check-in and check-out process was very smooth. Having the covered hot tub was such a treat. Lots of beautiful foliage and birds on the property and a very cute horse next door. The air conditioning in the rooms work very well as did the hot water in the showers. Having a way to do laundry was very helpful. We did not need to wash any clothes but we used the dryer several times to dry clothes that were wet from being rained on that would not have otherwise dried out due to the constant high humidity. The Arenal Country Inn is on the same road as this house so it made for a convenient pickup point for one of the guided excursions we did that offered hotel pickup (we just walked over there for easy pickup). I would highly recommend this Airbnb.

Beautiful gardens and lovely house. It was perfect for our family of 4 and the kids loved the pool. Easy to get to by car and short drives to all the excursions. The shared outdoor kitchen was very clean and convenient to use. Lovely spot!

Even though we only stayed one night would highly recommend this beautiful and comfortable air bnb! It was very spacious and reminded us of home :) the beds were extremely comfortable and we loved the view of the volcano in the morning! Very responsive and kind hosts. Would stay again if we had more time!

Our stay was a perfect getaway from the craziness of the world! Everything was pristine— a hidden surprise was how well you could see the stars lit up at night! Couldn’t recommend this stay more— it felt like being in a millionaire’s mansion.

We had a great stay at the AirBnB. The house comes completely as advertised, which makes it a great value for money. However, it was the quick response time and the large amount of tips from the hosts that made our stay special. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone staying in La Fortuna.

Very nice place, tidy and clean, close to downtown but far enough to be quiet and noisy, supermarkets nearby and sugey's attention and predisposition is excellent, very helpful and friendly, recommended

It was a wonderful airbnb with everything supplied for the stay. Wonderful instructions on everything, responsive to any questions. Glad I got to stay in a clean place with pristine living conditions.

Great location, peaceful and away from the bustle, yet still within walking distance of La Fortuna town. The cabin is nestled in beautiful gardens and foliage. The rooms are spacious, and Jessy was incredibly responsive to all of our requests and questions. Unfortunately, we had cloudy weather during our stay, so we didn’t get the chance to enjoy the Arenal view. However, we’re sure it must be breathtaking on a clear, sunny day!

Loved my stay here! It’s close to the main part of town which is super convenient, but still on a side road so there isn’t a lot of noise. The apartment was great-clean, comfy bed, good hot water pressure on the shower, well-stocked kitchen so I could cook. The hosts were very kind and communicated well. Great stay!

Here you get a great value for money. The apartment that we stayed in was nice. It was peaceful. No noise. At the same time a short walk to the city center. A good restaurant nearby. The area had good safe parking. I will definitely be recommending this place. I would gladly return. Best place I've stayed in La Fortuna. Highly recommended. Air conditioning and well-equipped kitchen. The beds were good. The sofa and TV were impeccable. We had a great time. Thank you so much for us.

This house was absolutely amazing! The location is perfect, with stunning volcano views that exceeded all our expectations. Great place to stay in terms of location and price. what we loved most was the communication of the host and the help organizing activities. we organized about 3-4 activities with the host and it went very smoothly and the prices were all fair.

Cristian was a great host, the property is in a gated community 4 mins drive from la fortuna city center, it's has an awesome bathroom and a pool with smart TVs, bed is nice also. Great value highly recommend.
