Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Sampson County

Ten of us stayed here comfortably. The driveway could use some work, small cars could have some trouble. We enjoyed the hot tub, paddled around the pond, walked the trails, and braved the spiral staircase up to the 4th bedroom. The cabin (5th bedroom) was perfect for a couple of us and a dog. Worth the extra $200. We had everything we needed.

Benny's place was great we will be renting the house again. If you love back woods living with all the comforts of home it's the place to go.

My husband and I were traveling to the area to attend a funeral in Garland, NC and we found a treasure at The Elizabeth. The home was clean and well equipped and it was very convenient to Clinton and Garland areas. We even took a longer ride to Wilmington, NC for Christmas lights on the Riverwalk and it was approximately an hour drive. Our host, Michael, was friendly and responsive and made us feel very welcome. The home had nice TV programming and a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals. There are not many restaurants in the immediate area so that was very helpful. If we are passing through that way in the future, we would absolutely stay again!

Luckily I live locally so the not enough toilet paper for 10 people for a week wasn’t too big of an issue just something to think about for future guests if they are from out of town. I would suggest speaking to the cleaners as well as we had a little dusty fan issue with it flying off all over the place when turned on. They are super responsive as we got worried on how to turn off the outside pool lights to respect the light rule but they let us know they are automatic for the pool area so that was a relief. Also note you can book up to 10 people but there are not enough place setting for cups and plates etc for that number of people so make sure to bring some disposable. The places is super large and accommodating out in the country so expect to hear dogs. The furniture is super comfortable. Rules are easy to follow and understand. Over all super great experience with enough space to spread out an enjoy family time.

This was a perfect place for a medium family reunion, everyone was able to cook there special dish for the reunion, the 3 refrigerator was very helpful, the bathrooms were so great, no one had to stand in line, Lol.

This stay is perfect. If coming with kids, I highly recommend bringing a blow-up mattress and letting them sleep in the loft. There’s plenty of beds to sleep downstairs but our kids enjoyed having their own space up top. Really cool little place. It was 33 degrees outside, and the space heater is hooked up to gas and did more than enough to keep us warm in the cabin, which is not insulated. Saw some deer. Caught some catfish in the river and fried it up for dinner. Kept a fire going in the fire pit for a few hours. Great glamping experience!

Great people to work with. Love the house

We came to Benson for a softball tournament and found Carolyn’s place that allowed several of us to stay together. Clear instructions to enter and exit had been provided. We did come home one afternoon to the roof and fire place leaking. Carolyn immediately responded & offered us another house. It was not leaking on beds or our belongings so we declined the move. Later that night another leak happened. Again she offered us another place. Next morning she had a roofer come out and put a quick fix to the leaking and we didn’t have another problem after. I don’t think we will be back to benson anytime soon, but if we are, I would definitely look up her properties. She was quick to solve our problem so we didn’t have to move houses with multiple families & kids.

Sharon was a great hostess! We had everything we need and felt very warm and comfortable in her place. The perfect place for relaxing and resting.

Felicia was lovely to work with and her house was in a wonderful spot. An easy walk to a nice trail to take the dogs, very close to some great breakfast spots, and a very quiet road. Felicia and Erin both were very responsive and helpful the entire time with any questions. They were nice enough to let us check in early and had easy check in and out instructions. They left a sweet little basket of snacks and all necessary amenities were available.
