Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Salado

Richard is a phenomenal host. Always responsive and proactive when it comes to providing all accommodations needed for our extended stay. The house is beautiful, clean, very spacious and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay or host. Thank you Richard! We will be booking again for future stays.

Loved this house! It was 10 mins from each of the three locations we visited. The backyard was great. Smelled Fantastic when we entered! Great value! Definitely recommend!

Our stay at Shelley's place was lovely! The house is so spacious, was sparkling clean, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the grill and amazing views. It's located in a quiet and peaceful area, perfect to relax and have a good night's sleep. When I first saw the listing, I was a bit concerned about how comfortable the sofa bed in bedroom 4 would be. It turned out that I picked this room for me and my husband: it's spacious, has its own bathroom and the bed is VERY comfy, in addition to the best views! The other bedrooms were also great, cozy and with perfect levels privacy. Everyone was incredibly pleased with the accommodations. Communication with Shelley was excellent, she is a fantastic host!

This home is exactly as pictured! Couldn’t have been happier with our stay here. Abbi was attentive and responded quickly to any questions we had. I especially appreciated the house manual with highlights of the area as well as recommendations of activities and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Great house, clean, well furnished. Hosts are great! Really enjoyed our stay. Would not to hesitate to book again. And the deer were very entertaining. Neighbors we very helpful and friendly.

Angela home was very nice and welcoming the kitchen was amazing enough space and all the amenities to cook for a Christmas gathering. Her home is very spacious the game room was a plus. Angelique is the perfect hostess! Her rental is exactly as described. She thinks of everything, including a lovely bottle of wine to have after a day of travels. The house was so conveniently located to Ft Cavazos, downtown Killeen and then a quick day trip to Georgetown and Austin. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures, and our family was extremely comfortable. The office was perfect for my remote work days. 100% Will rent again and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to Angelique!

Fantastic stay. The house is walkable to the town square with lots to see and do. Place was extremely clean and welcoming. It has its own entrance and is very private. Vicky made sure that she was accessible the whole stay. She went the extra mile to make sure that we had everything we needed with many extra thoughtful touches.

We loved our stay! Vicki was very responsive to my questions and have clear and complete directions for everything. The apartment was super clean, was decorated so nicely, and had everything we needed and more! I would definitely love to stay again and recommend the Highway Hideaway to anyone visiting the area!

These two suggestions listed here were solved quickly by a phone call to the Vacasa help line. First, the instructions for the front door lock are confusing. There are several references to “lock box” and there is a lock box on the door but it is not the lock that unlocks the door. The lock that unlocks the door is the digital code pad above the door handle, not the lock box hanging on the door handle. Second, specific directions to the villa in the neighborhood would have helped us find it as it is a little tricky to locate. The villa itself is fabulous. We loved staying there-very comfortable, pretty, and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Our family loved this space. It was a beautiful location and we'll played out home. Kimberly was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed.

Travis was an exceptional host. He was quick to communicate if anything was needed and offered multiple amenities. The space itself is very private, great for photos especially around the lake, it's just you and nature. If the weather wasn't so cold we definitely would've hit the water. Hadn't ever heard of spicewood before, but would come again! Thank you again Travis!

Tom's place is even prettier than the pictures reflect. The description is spot-on, and this charming and peaceful house has a terrific view of Lake Travis -- even while sitting inside on of the two very comfy sofas. It's a perfect place for a weekend getaway and is not far at all from shopping; it's only about 25 min from downtown Austin. It feels like you're far away in the country, though. Tom is a great host and is helpful if needed but otherwise very laid-back. We'll hopefully be back!
