Vacation rentals in Saint Lucy

Group trip to Barbados, most of whom stayed at a large place up the hill from us. We spent most of our time there or exploring, but this BnB was an excellent retreat to get away from our group and have some peace & quiet. It's on the main road, but I did not notice cars at night. We only did breakfast here, as we did group meals at the other house, or ate out. But the kitchen is very well equipped. The unit has very secure doors, with inner lockable iron gates - allowing a lovely ocean breeze!!! Incredible sunset view from the balcony, with a 180 degrees of ocean. Peaceful & relaxing. The private beach right out front is awesome! Watch your shoes don't float away! Hehehe. Great hot water pressure in showers. AC in each room for sleeping. Check out "Happyness" for a cute date-night (12 min by car). There's tiny convenience store down the road (2 min walk). 5 min walk to the Fish Pot restaurant which is amazing. We drove to the animal reserve, and horse back riding.

Fantastic place to stay. There are no sandy beaches; night clubs; or tiki bars at this place: it is just you and nature. Patrick the grounds manager is both extremely helpful for any needs and at the same time extremely respectful of privacy. The 'guard dogs' are adorable and friendly - I miss my morning greetings from Shadow already. The monkeys are cute and keep a healthy distance. The nightly hermit crab gatherings are unlike anything I've seen before. The gardens are beautiful and the private cliffside seating and private cove are quite literally breathtaking. I was extremely nervous about the lack of air conditioning, but the 2nd floor balcony (off which 2 of the rooms sit) is probably the breeziest spot in all of Barbados. Bring your own food, transport, entertainment, etc, and you're all set. Will be back in a heartbeat.

Lovely country get away. I got a chance to see a part of the island less frequented. Immediately felt at home. The bed was comfortable, and loved the baskets and other nice touches. The upcycled door turned mirror. A style photographers dream place. Within minutes of flower cave and the light house. Was so happy host introduced me to what3words app. I was grateful that she let me book for two days (atypical) . I could have stayed longer. I will certainly book again.

Dear Ingred, Our 4 week stay with you was fabulous. Thank you so much for your hospitality. You invited us to meet with family and enjoy a delicious lunch. The views from the cottage and the peacefullness were so welcome. The only sounds were the crashing of the waves; the horses were so beautiful and the second morning we awoke to the sighting of the newborn foul...amazing. We are cat lovers so really enjoyed the old guy and the tabby kitten. They kept us entertained. From the cottage we ventured out to see the many beautiful gardens, the fabulous Heywoods Beach at the North end of Speightstown and Little Bay in Pie Corner (a delight with the crashing waves). This is a remote, private area of the Island to really capture the Bajan way of life. Thank you again Ingred, we feel like family and hope to return one day. Shelley and Tim.....xxxooo

An amazing location. Situated at the Northen side of the island, the area is accessible by public transport but not would not recommend if you are not confident travelling the local buses. Great host and a lovely place to stay away from the busy towns.

Our stay was wonderful. Beautiful view of the ocean. The neighborhood is quiet. You do need a rental car to get around. The housekeeper Madelene was fantastic, she worked with a smile on her face and made sure the place was nice and clean everyday. We also booked chef Lindrey for two nights and the food and experience was amazing. Dorothy was a great host and made sure that whatever we needed we had. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Daniel and Alicia's house for two weeks and enjoyed this secluded and spacious house a lot. Sitting on the patio surrounded by nature and listening to the crickets while sipping a rum punch was a daily highlight. Daniel and Alicia are wonderful hosts, easy going, communicative, responsive, and eager to fix any issues that came up, even gifted us fresh eggs. A ten minute drive with the car will bring you to beautiful Heywoods Beach or to the world oldest Rum Distillery, Mount Gay. Should we visit the island again we will stay here.

Perfect for our long stay - quiet , relaxing getaway. House is well equipped, close to Catch 22 restaurant with the best Fishcakes in Barbados, secluded Archers Bay and The Animal Flower Cave. Size and comfort of garden and pool areas were pleasantly roomy, both were regularly attended to and were well kept. Comfortably large bedrooms with roomy en-suites. Breezy location, almost no need to use aircon units. House was well illuminated at night and local residents were friendly and respectful. Peter was a welcoming, friendly, professional and accommodating host. It was so good we'll happily stay again. A car is a must have for short trips to Speightstown etc.

The villa is located in the picturesque fishing village of Moontown. The villa's beachfront location provided direct access to the beach. I was able to purchase fresh lobster and fish from the local fishermen to cook. BTW, I visit Bim often and The Fish Pot has the most amazing food. The local residents were warm and welcoming, and I thoroughly enjoyed engaging in friendly conversations with them while swimming. The beach itself was immaculate and perfect for swimming and exploration. The views of the ocean from the villa were undoubtedly the highlight of my experience. While some previous reviews mentioned noise from the nearby main road due to passing buses and cars, I personally didn’t find it disruptive. I live on a busy street myself, so I was accustomed to such sounds. In fact, I found that the natural rhythm of the ocean waves crashing in the evening often drowned out any vehicular noise. The villa was equipped with firm and comfortable beds, and the water pressure was good.
