Vacation rentals with a kayak in Saint Croix

Stuart's was incredible with only a few "room for improvement" areas. It was super clean and well stocked (unlike most places). With the beach ten steps away lots of towels was a huge plus. Great patio for watching the sunset and enjoying snacks and meals. Stuart was super responsive and great to work with as were the team checking in on the grounds. Three areas for improvement for us: 1. No screens anywhere. It would be incredible to hear the waves at night and enjoy an ocean breeze. 2. The upper level is not technically secure from the downstairs unit. The folks downstairs had to pass the stairs to the upstairs to do laundry, which was a total surprise when we saw them. To be clear the house is gated and security as a whole is great, but if you have a family the upstairs is accessible and the main bedroom is two doors away from the main living space. Not an issues for us, but if you are have a family FYI. 3. The minisplit in the main bedroom had to work hard to barely cool.

Vista Del Mar exceeded our expectations! Not only was the house beautiful, it was in spotless condition. We felt like we were the first family to stay in it. We've never felt more at home and fully comfortable in a vacation rental before. The house was so fully equipped that we didn't even use all the "extras". Laura thought of every detail, big and small, and we couldn't have wanted for anything. The outside area had so many relaxing, peaceful areas to lounge in that we were torn about leaving the property to explore the rest of St. Croix. Laura was a fabulous host! She was super friendly, gave us our space but was available to answer any questions or offer local suggestions. She was our savior when our car broke down one evening, hopping out of her bed and coming to our rescue. We cannot thank her enough for that alone! Laura, thank you for making us feel so welcome in your home, it is a wonderful Caribbean retreat. You are an above and beyond host! We would love to come back soon!

Verlyn was a great host with a wonderful place to stay. The guest area was immaculate, very roomy and bright. I’m looking forward to staying again in the future! As an added bonus, Verlyn had a coffee station fully stocked which I really appreciated.

Several of us commented that this was our best tropical vacation ever—and we’ve travelled a lot. The property is unique and special and we had it all to ourselves. Amazing. This is a place one can relax deeply, allow reality to slip sideways and ebb away. We spent mornings and evening on the beach at the cabana and the rest of the time at the pool. For adventures, we fished for our dinners and followed up with kayaking to the impressive bioluminescent bay. I recommend booking a professional tour if you feel at all unsure; I got lost in the dark trying to find my way home. The house is spacious and features beautiful antiques in the common rooms. I could wish for more luxurious bathrooms: the house is a bit dated and rustic. If you’re ok with that vibe, then you won’t mind. We enjoyed the privacy and solitude and time together as family. Finally, the history of this particular bay is fabulously interesting.

Our stay at Ixora was wonderful. The driveway comes up fast but google maps was right on. There is plenty of parking and you can turn around in the lot. The house is behind Peters' house, so they are always available. There is a kitchen and living room down stairs with a patio area just outside. There are 2 lockable bedrooms and a bath upstairs. The upper deck is only acessable through the bedrooms. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off from the beach outside. The beach area is small but PERFECT. The water is very shallow out almost to the pillars of the old dock. There is some snorkling but the area is mostly sea grass, conch, and starfish unless you head out to the reef and the boat lane, which could be dangerous. Watershoes or fins are a necessity and it is very difficult, if not impossible, to swim out at low tide. You have to walk to the deeper water. Again, water shoes are a necessity. Plenty of restaurants and markets are close by, but don't try walking!! Just perfect!

Gill from St. Croix, what a guy, With ocean views that made us sigh. When we needed help, he’d never delay, Fixing things fast, night or day. His property, a paradise, no doubt, Where the waves crash and seagulls shout. Responsive, kind, and always near, Gill made sure our stay was sheer cheer!

This is a truly special home! The view is out of this world, and the constant breeze makes it possible to enjoy being outside no matter how sunny or hot it is. We began each day at the table by the pool which is perfectly shaded by palm trees, and we ended each day on the porch listening to the sound of the waves crashing below. The pool was perfect for a dip in the afternoon and we even enjoyed some night swimming. My husband and I were here with my mother, and we were all comfortable and happy with the level of privacy the home afforded. Gil was extremely easy to work with and so helpful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Craig and Cal were amazingly kind and helpful. From the great advice on how to explore the beautiful island to Cal’s yummy baked goods to the beautiful apartment with a gorgeous view:we would highly recommend this rental! We can’t wait to return! We also booked a tour through Craig and Cal’s seethrukayaks and had a wonderful time there as well!

The cottages by the sea were perfect for a quick getaway, stayed in the crew cottage which was perfect for me, my wife, and mother in law. It was very unique and completely redone so pics need updated but it’s fabulous and better, We had a queen bed, along with a separate twin bed inside, the bathroom was also inside, the shower was a waterfall shower outside only which is great for island weather as it’s always hot enough outside along with it being enclosed with nice lights that go around. Brick pavers for floor so there is never a clog which is nice, the (bathroom sink area) also outside where the shower is, it’s very private one of my favorite showers, the hot water works great and got really hot, the outside area had plenty of seating and furniture along with a table for breakfast, full kitchen from gas range to big refrigerator all outside on the porch completely covered and private but it is outside open air but nice for a change and it works, had ice trays, silverware, dishes.

Great location, great people, we'll be back again! :)

Our cottage by the sea was fantastic! It was well appointed and the kitchen and bath had everything we could ever need. We adored our little porch and the beach was sublime! Use of bicycles and snorkel gear made for great fun and the proximity to Frederiksted and all sorts of dining options for when we didn’t eat in was terrific! Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping and grounds were friendly and accommodating. We are eager to return!

I cannot thank Cheryl enough for making her beautiful home available. Everything was top-notch! We were able to enjoy a peaceful vacation in a location that was the best of St Croix.
