Akrorama Spilia-Ultimate Privacy,Pool&Caldera View

BrookeRating, 5 stars6 days ago
If I could’ve gave Zenia a 10, I would have. She was the most amazing host. We had so many hiccups with our travel and she helped us navigate everything. Her place is so beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon. We got homemade breakfast served to us every morning, the Airbnb was clean daily, and Zenia got a couples massage arranged for us at the Airbnb. We rented a car for the week. We were able to do everything we wanted to do and then go back to our Airbnb, where it was so peaceful. If we go back to Greece, we will definitely stay here again.

Theodora Suites - Suite with Volcano View

KellyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
STUNNING! This Airbnb is 100% worth the price. It’s in the perfect location with beautiful, private views of the water, volcano, city, and famous blue domes, and walkable to everything. The hottub on the roof with the view was incredible and we used it 1-2x a day. The breakfast was out of this world, so much food made just for you! The host did not respond to our messages until the day before we arrived, so do not be alarmed if that happens. Once he reached out, he was friendly and helpful, booking us a taxi and person to carry our luggage, and offering to book any other tours while we were there. The home is in a busy area as it states, so there will be lots of people by your home every day, but it makes for good people watching. We found it to be quiet in the bedroom even with that. The AC did not work very well, so that would be our only complaint.

We were greeted by Nikos and he was nothing short of AMAZING!! He made us feel so welcome, comfortable and excited for our stay! He carried our bags to and from the villa and was always at our disposal for coordinating taxis and recommending activities/restaurants. The villa was spotless and the beds were SO comfortable. Thank you Nikos for the hospitality!! We will definitely be back!

Lava Cave suite 1BR/Private Plunge Pool+Panoramic View

MitchellRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I had an amazing stay at Lava Caves—this place really exceeded expectations. The cave-style room was beautiful, clean, and had everything I needed. The view of the caldera was unreal, especially from the hot tub—it was the perfect spot to relax and watch the sunset. The location was ideal, tucked away enough to feel private but still close to great restaurants and shops in Oia. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, always available if I had a question or needed a recommendation. Breakfast delivered to the room each morning was a great touch, and everything about the stay just felt easy and relaxing. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Greece—highly recommend if you're looking for a unique and peaceful stay in Santorini.

Serra Exclusive Suites

We had a fantastic stay, the villa was absolutely stunning and the best view of the beautiful Santorini sunset. An absolute must for those looking to avoid the tourist hustle and bustle, with plenty to do within at 10-15 minute drive, the stunning village of Akrotiri, and close to multiple beaches, would strongly recommend Theros Wave Bar for a great beach day out! Thanks for having us :)

ENTIRE PRIVATE ANTRUM VILLA with Sunset View+Pool

KelvinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful time. The place was exactly as described and Theodoris was very responsive to our questions. He also arranged to have someone take our luggage to and from the place, which in Santorini that is a huge bonus!! I can’t forget the wine from his family’s vineyard he provided! The location is great as well!!

Calderas Hug 1 (Panoramic Sea View& Prive Hot Tub)

SergioRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Host came into welcome us. Bellboy helped with luggage for check in and check out. They were kind enough to let us check in after we landed, several hours before the official check in time. Place was very clean and they made the sofa bed for the extra guest. Views are amazing! We ate at Aegean restaurant and we enjoyed it. Guest can also book experiences although I did it on my own, as well as transport.

Anemi Lovers House - Sunset and Sea View

StoneyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
A+ booking. Dimitri was the best host we have ever had. He arranged all our transportation around Santorini including pick up and drop off at the airport and the ferry port. He had a ton of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. He helped book our catamaran tour around the island of Santorini which is a recommendation he had. The home itself is exactly how it looks in the pictures online. They almost seem too good to be true but they are 100% accurate. The balcony has an unobstructed view of the oia sunset which my wife and I watched every night we stayed there. The property is right at the top of the stairs that lead down to Ammoudi bay. So there is no hike up and down stairs when trying to walk back to the home. The location is perfect. It’s near so many restaurants and shops. The home is very private. A lot of these homes can have a nice view but people can also see you when on your balcony. We watched the sunset from our hot tub on our balcony. Great price. 10/10

Artemis was the most responsive Airbnb host ever! He suggested places to go, made restaurant recommendations, arranged our pick up and drop off transportation, arranged our Catamaran trip, had a beautiful and delicious plate of fresh fruit waiting for us upon arrival. Also gave us a generous bottle of wine. The location couldn’t have been more perfect. The unit was exactly as pictured. Absolute paradise. A++ for this place and host. Thanks again!

Sunset Cave House by Spitia Santorini

GaryRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our memories made at the Sunset Cave! Manos arranged a transfer for us from the airport and welcomed us with open arms upon arrival. He met us with Islam, our “mighty” porter (he carried our luggage down multiple steep steps) and walked us to our temporary magical “home away from home”, showing us all the key spots along the way. “Home” was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a perfect stay. Every morning we were delivered a healthy breakfast! Manos connected daily to check in on our needs. The sunset view is everything and MORE! It truly is a prime spot to view the breathtaking Santorini Sunset!! On our final departure, Manos and our porter assisted again with our luggage & arranged our transfer to our next destination, Mykonos. All is all, Five star + experience, definitely recommend!!

NK Cave House Villa

MarianaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My stay at NK Cave House Villa was truly a dream come true. Everything was perfect. Santorini had always been a lifelong dream and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. The villa, set in the heart of the caldera, had the most breathtaking view I’ve ever seen. The breeze, the surroundings , the beauty, everything felt magical. The home was full of charm, a cozy bedroom, unique bathroom, and a comfortable living room. And the hot tub , omg watching the golden sun melt into the Aegean Sea from there was pure magic. I’ll never forget that moment. But what made this stay unforgettable was Antonio. From the moment we arrived, he made everything easy and special, organizing pickups, recommending amazing restaurants and must see spots, and always checking in. His warmth, care, and attention were beyond anything I have experienced before. Thanks to him, this was more than a vacation, it was a memory I will treasure forever. Thank you so much Antonio!!!☺️☺️

Your guide to Santorini

All About Santorini

Santorini is an 11-mile-long island in the Aegean Sea, southeast of mainland Greece, and is the largest among a group of small, volcanic islands called the Cyclades. Officially known as Thira (Thera, in ancient Greek), Santorini has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. Its 20 or so villages exist atop one of the largest calderas — volcanic craters — in the world; the eruptions throughout its history helped create the dramatic black-sand beaches across its coastline.

Evidence of Santorini’s prehistoric past is on display at the underground Akrotiri archaeological site, where you can see the intricacies of the ancient civilizations who developed multi-floored buildings and drainage systems. The ruins seen today are the result of a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BCE that covered the village in lava and preserved elaborate wall paintings, dwellings, and pottery.

Santorini’s culture is also embodied in its food and drink. Wineries stretch across the countryside, where you can try the island’s native Assyrtiko white wine. Aromas from traditionally prepared coffee fill the cobble-stone streets, brewed with Greece’s specialty briki pot and enjoyed as a social activity. Local dishes prepared with Santorini’s local white eggplant and chlorotyri goat’s-milk cheese make for a dining experience you may not find anywhere else in the world, thanks to the island’s rich volcanic soil and distinct farming.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Santorini

You will find accommodations, including Santorini villas and rural retreats, across the island. During Santorini’s comfortable, warm spring months you can make the 6-mile hike from Fira to the village of Oia and ruins of its 15th-century castle while passing blooming wildflowers like lupins and corn poppies along the way. Mild weather in the fall brings the height of the grape harvest, making it an ideal season for trying one of the nearly 20 wineries scattered across the island.

Take advantage of the hot summer months by visiting some of Santorini’s swim-friendly beaches like Perissa or Kamari Beach. The island also hosts the Santorini Jazz Festival in July and the Ifestia (volcano) Festival in August, featuring fireworks and live music shows. During the colder months, you can take a wintertime dip in the thermal hot springs on Santorini’s smaller, uninhabited island, Palea Kameni.

Top things to do in Santorini

Ancient Thera

Some of Greece’s ancient history is on display atop the mountain of Mesa Vouno, accessible by a 4.5-mile hike or a drive to the ancient city of Thera, named for the volcano that famously erupted near it thousands of years ago. Ancient Thera sits at more than 1,000 feet above sea level; once you reach the peak, you will have panoramic views of the Aegean Sea while you stand among ancient ruins, founded in the 9th century B.C.E. and inhabited until 726 A.D.

Vlychada Beach

You can experience one of Santorini’s famous black-sand beaches at Vlychada. This swim-friendly beach on the southern coast is surrounded by towering cliffs. The best time to visit Vlychada Beach is later in the day for a beachside picnic and sunset.

Megalochori

Megalochori is a village on the southwestern coast of Santorini whose white-washed walls and bell towers tower over cobblestone streets as a former defense against pirates. The village is surrounded by Santorini’s wine country, making it a great place to try some of the island’s most-loved wines like the sweet, amber-colored Vinsanto and the crisp white Assyrtiko. Megalochori also hosts classical Greek music concerts throughout the year.
