Lara Beach
Secluded beach in Akamas Peninsula, known for turtle nesting and unspoiled natural beauty
Summarized by AI
At Lara Beach you can swim and snorkel in crystal-clear water, walk the long sandy shore, and relax in a quiet, secluded bay that stays relatively uncrowded even in high season. It’s a protected nesting area for loggerhead and green turtles, so you may see marked nests, babies hatching in August, or even adults coming ashore—always observe from a distance and never use umbrellas on the sand. Visit the small information hut to learn about turtle life cycles and conservation. There are no facilities, so bring your own shade, plenty of water, snacks or a picnic, and take every bit of rubbish back with you.

Petra tou Romiou
Legendary coastal rock formation linked to Aphrodite's mythical birth and Byzantine folklore
Summarized by AI
At Petra tou Romiou (Aphrodite’s Rock) you can sit on the pebbly beach, watch waves break around the huge sea stacks, and photograph the dramatic rock rising from the water. Walk the shore or follow local tradition by swimming near the rock or tasting the water, said to bring luck, love, or beauty. This legendary birthplace of Aphrodite has a small kiosk/store above the unorganised beach for snacks and drinks, so bring sturdy footwear for the pebbles and your own umbrellas.

Pafos Zoo
Expansive zoo featuring exotic animals, vibrant bird shows, and lush natural surroundings
Summarized by AI
Pafos Zoo lets you get close to giraffes, monkeys, meerkats, crocodiles, kangaroos, albino wallabies, mouflon, white lions, tigers and many more animals, birds and reptiles spread across a lush 100,000 m² park. Watch the daily parrot and owl shows in the big amphitheater, then visit the area where you can hand‑feed lemurs or feed the giraffe. Explore one of Europe’s largest parrot and venomous snake collections and read the educational signs about conservation. Kids and adults can use the children’s play area, bar and souvenir shop between animal encounters.

Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark
Family-friendly waterpark with slides, a lazy river, wave pool, and kids' play areas
Summarized by AI
Spend a full day on high-speed water slides, tube rides, the 50-foot Free Fall, a lazy river, and a wave surge pool, plus dedicated kids’ zones like Wet Bubble, Mini Volcano, and a big water-play area. Relax on plentiful sun loungers, use free Wi‑Fi, and watch for the roving photographer and occasional live DJ sets. Take advantage of multiple food and beverage spots, secure lockers, and well-organized facilities with lifeguards on duty. Book and check their app for discounted tickets and special offers.

Sandy Beach
Summarized by AI
At Sandy Beach you can swim in clear, shallow blue water, play in the often big waves, or try surfing at one of the area’s most popular surf spots, with board rentals available when conditions are right. Stretch out on soft golden sand, rent sun loungers and umbrellas, or join a game on the beach volleyball or nearby tennis court. Refuel at the on-site beach bar or snack kiosk with cocktails, soft drinks, and simple food. Families, young crowds, and pet owners all use this clean, well-equipped, and lively yet relaxed beach, with nearby bars, restaurants, and a modern playground adding extra options.

Oniro - Paphos
Summarized by AI
At Oniro by the Sea you can linger over Mediterranean and Greek Cypriot dishes with a twist, fresh seafood, quality grills, crisp salads, and indulgent desserts, all paired with signature cocktails, fresh fruit mojitos, fine wines, and local beers. Set on a chic, boho-style terrace right above the water, it’s ideal for a relaxed lunch, sunset dinner, or laid-back drinks, and even welcomes pets outdoors. While you eat and unwind, you’ll look straight onto the EDRO III shipwreck and Peyia sea caves, a dramatic backdrop for sunset photos and a coastline where monk seals are known to live.
