2B2B Courtyard View Apt Near SAP/Apple 415
Very spacious and comfortable space - easy access, parking etc - communication with the host has also been great and easy; Would definitely recommend this stay;

2 Bedroom Modern Apartment in Downtown U4
Great place especially given the price being much lower than other options. Kitchen was relatively well equipped but might feel limiting for a longer stay. Would absolutely stay here again!
Lovely apartment in Victorian home
Wonderful stay at Bruce and Chris's place. lovely location, easy to find and check in. the kitchen is stunning, has everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. peaceful and quiet. Only note - Street parking can be a bit tricky outside the property at night time. We always ended up finding a spot on the street to the right on the side of the property, so a couple mins walk if that. Would definitely stay again. Thanks alot =]

North Berkeley Garden Private Apt
Annie and Alex‘s Airbnb is wonderful! It’s in a great location, well designed, clean and modern, and equipped with all of the items you would want in the kitchen. You have access to a beautiful outdoor garden with dining table and chairs. Location! While you can walk to the best shopping for fruits and vegetables, there is free street parking as well. BART is a quick 13 minute walk! Lastly, Annie and Alex are wonderful, thoughtful hosts. We would highly recommend their AirBnb for either short or longer stays

Walk to campus
Had a great time staying here! It's a nice apartment, fairly spacious and well decorated (and many many books). The location was awesome and the highlight. You get a great view of the bay + SF from the hills. It's also close to both nice hikes and the university.

Contemporary Apartment in a 19th Century House
I definitely recommend this place if you want to have a peaceful trip around San Francisco Had a lovely 3 week stay at Michael’s apartment in Oakland. The place is spacious, very well equipped, comfortable and has a big garden 😍 on top of that, the apartment is very close to everything you’ll need, 3 to 5 minutes walk to supermarkets, restaurants, banks, fast-food, coffee places, and direct buses to San Francisco. The neighbourhood is cute, peaceful The only flaw to this apartment is the lack of light in it, but the garden and its squirrels compensate 😸 Michael and his wife are sweet and warm, and willing to help if needed. The perfect hosts! Thank you again guys ❤️

Garden Apartment in Berkeley
We had a wonderful stay at John’s place - it’s a really lovely spot and the photos don’t quite do it justice! The beautiful garden is a particular highlight. It’s within walking distance to BART and nice shops and restaurants but on a sweet residential road. John was super helpful and welcoming - would highly recommend!

'A Suite’ - BANK STREET FLATS - San Anselmo
We had another wonderful stay! Alison’s place doesn’t disappoint, it is our first choice for accommodation whenever we are in the area visiting family. Always fresh, clean and comfortable with a can’t be beat location.
Private vacation rentals in San Francisco

Entire Villa - Retreat - Refresh - Relax
everything was super nice, only thing was the charger didnt work which was very bummed out, but overall house is super spacious and nice, plenty of room for family and friends! mason was helpful & communicative!

“Alameda Island Hideaway”- Clean, Safe, Modern
Unit C was exactly as described. The bedrooms upstairs are spacious, with plenty of closet space and a nice dresser in each room. The bathroom upstairs is a standard 70-80's bathroom with a shower/tub , one sink and toilet. The kitchen downstairs is well equipped with pots and pans. Nice washer and dryer in the unit. Everything was impeccably clean and well organized. The sofabed feels cold because it is not fabric so I would suggest putting a few blankets under the sheets if you intend to use it. There are extra blankets at the place. The unit is at the very end of a driveway so it is very quiet and peaceful. There is a nice fenced in yard if you have little ones. A great benefit is that there is an excellent bakery and well-stocked supermarket less than a block away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heather's place and would rent it again in a heartbeat!

Waterfront Marin Retreat with Pool & Hot Tub
My family (parents, grandparents, and kids) stayed at this great waterfront home in March 2025. My kids loved the heated pool, hot tub, and kayak! We liked the well appointed kitchen and having lots of space to spread out across the five bedrooms. The only downside is that’s it’s a bit on the well used side and could use touch-ups here and there and one bedroom is a loft so we had to be aware of the noise level downstairs. That didn’t stop us from having a great time and using this as our jumping off point to the city (15-30 min depending on traffic) or North Bay for hiking, oysters, and wine.

Cozy Garden Unit with All Amenities
Checkin was easy. The space was clean. The bathroom exceeded my expectations - spacious walk-in shower, good water pressure, and the toilet had a bidet. We cooked dinner one night and found the hot plate and limited pots and pan to be enough for a simple meal. We also used the washer/dryer. This is listed in the listing I believe, but the dryer had a hard time drying a load of socks and a few tshirts. Bed was comfy, nothing fancy. Overall a great stay! We took the bus a few times and was only a 7-8min walk.

Noe Valley entire guest suite overlooking downtown
Safe and clean San Francisco spot Veronica was very responsive and we felt very comfortable.

2 bedrooms house with sauna
What a beautiful and tranquil place. Peter was great and very responsive. The home is filled with beautiful art pieces and objects and the grounds were lush and peaceful. There was plenty of amenities for us with everything working as it should. At this time, they are still waiting on a hot tub but I was aware that was unavailable when I booked thanks to another review. The sauna was a great add on though!

Entire Private Coastal Retreat - Spectacular Ocean
We brought a friend who needed to mourn a loss. The home and yard offered the respite she needed and the wind and waves from the Ocean helped her through her grief. We all hope to return since it became a place of healing for our friend. Thank you.

Stinson Beach Retreat
This place is a cozy little gem of a find that it walking distance from the beach! Loved everything about this place - especially the fireplace that was nice to have on rainy/cold nights. Will absolutely come back again!
Homes in San Francisco

Beautiful Home. Gorgeous Views. Five Bedrooms.
Bill was a very accommodating host, especially for our family members with disabilities. The house was very intentionally welcoming, with lemons on display from the house lemon trees, coloring books & games. The kitchen is beautiful & spacious to cook up big family meals. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood, taking in the views outside the house & painting outside. Our family of 8, felt like we had plenty of space in our rooms, restrooms, & shared space.

A City Escape | 3-bedroom home at Willow Glen
this was such a pleasant stay overall. the host did a great a job overall all setting out all of the instructions and providing wonderfully delicious coffee. we felt right at home.

M&J@5B3B/High speed Wi-Fi/yard for kid/Cisco | 668
We enjoyed our stay at this property! We were traveling on a work trip and this place was big enough to house all of us. We each had our own bed and accommodations were met to our expectations. This house is spacious and really modern! I was a tad disappointed that there was only one TV for all of us, so that was a challenge when we wanted to unwind after work. Other than that highly recommend and will come back if she’ll have us again!

Modern Retreat Free Cleaning close to SF
I highly recommend this place! It was perfectly located from the airport, places to shop like Costco, places to visit such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Castro. We ha d a party of 11 and this house accommodated all of us comfortably without feeling congested. Everything was the way it was described. Definitely worth coming back!

*Designer East Bay Remodel Home*
Great place for family travel, conveniently located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. There’s a wonderful park across the street. The house is well equipped and spacious, well suited for families!

Home in Atherton, Menlo Park
Feng’s home was lovely and very spacious! We had a group of 8 guests staying and it could accommodate a larger group very well! Thank you for a lovely accommodation, Feng!

Cozy Modern Home
Had a fantastic stay at Thanh’s Airbnb. Location extremely close to Ranch 99, Heytea and numerous restaurants. Place was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described. Thanh was welcoming and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Your guide to San Francisco
All About San Francisco
Surrounded on three sides by glittering water, punctuated by comically high hills, festooned with verdant public parks, and alternately enshrouded in mysterious fog and blazing sunshine, San Francisco is one of the prettiest places on earth. The city has long attracted iconoclasts and fortune seekers, in the shape of Gold Rush hopefuls, immigrants who fought to build thriving communities, and queer people seeking a home and civil rights. It’s a city of glorious contrasts: storybook Victorians and soaring skyscrapers; the bright, pinging amusements of Fisherman’s Wharf and the austere beauty of Ocean Beach. Like the rest of the Bay Area — which includes Oakland to the east, Marin to the north, and San Jose to the south — San Francisco continues to transform. But its scruffy, proudly independent roots are never far from the surface.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in San Francisco
San Francisco has a legendarily capricious climate — hot, sunny days can turn chilly on a dime, so no matter what time of year it is, pack layers. March through June typically ushers in temperatures in the low-to-mid-60 degrees Fahrenheit. July through October is generally warmer, with temperatures in the high 60s or low 70s. Fall is often considered this city’s summer. November through February is brisk, with temperatures dipping into the 50s. Expect some fog and wind year round.
Top things to do in San Francisco
Golden Gate Park
Opened in 1870, this park’s 1,017 acres are the undisputed jewel of the park system (and that’s saying a lot). Visit close to 2,000 species of rare, tropical, and aquatic plants inside the stately Conservatory of Flowers. Explore an indoor rainforest at the California Academy of Sciences, and surround yourself with world-class art at the de Young Museum. Ride a carousel, paddle a boat around Stow Lake, or stroll through the Japanese Tea Garden. Just don’t expect to do it all in one day.
Alcatraz
This tiny island in the bay, now a National Park, has a complicated and fascinating history. Best known as the home of an (almost) inescapable federal prison populated by notorious criminals, Alcatraz is also the site of a historically significant protest led by Native American activists, who occupied the island for nineteen months starting in 1969 to protest the US government's failure to surrender federal land owed to the tribes who once lived there. A trip to Alcatraz to learn about its many lives is well worth it. Tickets go fast, so plan ahead and book your voyage early.
Golden Gate Bridge
Completed in 1937, this gorgeous 1.7-mile-long Art Deco wonder is renowned for its hue — a color so distinct it has its own name: International Orange. Walking, biking, or driving are all wonderful ways to experience this architectural marvel, and on the Marin side you’ll find a rest stop with bathrooms and breathtaking views of the bridge and bay. One thing to note: If you walk or bike, wear layers, as it can get very windy crossing the bridge.
