Rough River Lake fishing vacation rentals

Our stay was great. Home was clean and had everything we needed. It was very quiet and peaceful. Exactly what we needed. The screened in porch overlooking the lake was wonderful. Saw a couple deer. A little rough getting down to the dock but definitely doable. Jennifer was very responsive and pleasant to work with.

Our family had a great getaway Thanksgiving weekend. it was very quiet, we saw no neighbors for the four days. We didn't get outside much because of the temperature. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and dining items. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. The only recommendation is new cushions are badly needed for the living room furniture. For older people it was hard to sit without getting a backache and get off of chair or sofa. The younger crowd didn't think the bunkhouse had been cleaned properly. Plenty of room for everyone.

The hosts were great. Answered our questions within the hour. The home was amazing. Thoughtful touches, including lots of extras in the kitchen and bathrooms. Bath towels were luxurious. Decor was tasteful. Space was spotless. Deck and porch were great and we all loved the swing! Arcade games, table tennis, and foosball downstairs were fun for the kids and adults. Beds were comfy too!

Beautiful home, very well stocked with everything you need. Beautiful, peaceful location. Great host, super friendly and responsive and great to work with. Didn't want to leave!

All was good really good for a group very spacious lots of comfortable seating Great for football weekend I am sure it is beautiful in the summer when there is water in the lake Could have had a few extra towels we left on Sat night due to bad weather coming in we had a long trip But all good

This is a great place to stay if you like lake access. We brought a two seater inflatable kayak, and together with three one-seater kayaks that were on site our 5 member family could go on the lake every day, and delight in nearby islands and beaches.

If I could give 10 stars to Gaby I would. As a fellow host I appreciated Gaby’s attention to detail, organization, and exquisite taste. Gaby has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The cabin is spacious, nestled in a little valley surrounding by rolling hills, and had ample indoor and outdoor space for our family of seven. More importantly is close to Lake Nolan and Mammoth Cave National Park. Lately the beds are super comfy and Gaby has a knack for anticipating guest’s needs.

Carrie was very friendly and prompt. We rent a large home every year and this one by far was our favorite. The beds were very comfortable and the house is beautiful. If you are looking for a peaceful place for a large group this property is wonderful. I would definitely rent this property again.

We had an amazing stay at the Captain's Cove! The house couldn't have been any more perfect. Lee was a great host and we had everything we needed - and more! We would absolutely come stay again.

What a wonderful house! Justin has thought of everything. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bed was very comfortable. The location is beautiful with decks and 2 fire pits. It is private and quiet and we would definitely recommend this home especially if you are coming with kids!

My husband, 6 year old Jack Russell Bella, and I had an amazingly, peaceful, secluded long weekend! We loved the isolated location, lots of space to roam, and wander through the woods, and rocky river front to explore. This place was perfect to get away, and just enjoy each other and the quiet of nature. Definitely plan to come back again! If you visit in the fall/winter bring mud shoes to explore the river front! We had the best weekend we’ve had in awhile!!! The house was super clean, charming with the Sasquatch decor, and we loved the old school video games! We didn’t leave all weekend, and would have loved a few more days to chill! Our pup had the best time exploring the property and all of the space around. Top of our list!!!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home in the woods. We were pleased with the amenities in the home. Also, there was the ability to buy any other necessities through the host's " Market Place " closet. The views were stunning throughout the home. We were able to visit Mammoth Cave NationalPark, which was about a forty minute drive away. And the host was responsive to our questions.

We loved this house and location. Quiet surroundings with a beautiful view. The kitchen had everything we needed and we prepared most of our meals during the week. Ample space for everyone in our family.Jon’s recommendation for the Blue Holler Cafe was spot on. The food was fantastic. We also dined at Cave City Pizza and PJ’s Cafe and both were great. There are a lot of great activities near this house. We spent a day on the lake, went horseback riding, and spent some time at a local beach. Also toured the cave and hiked at Mammoth Cave National Park. We would definitely stay here again.

Corlynn and Joe are incredible hosts, and their home was so comfortable. All of my questions before and during our stay were answered quickly and Corlynn was so friendly and helpful every time. Everything you could possibly want or need was available from kitchen items to things you may want for a fun day on the lake! We even utilized some DVDs and card games, and we loved sitting on the deck enjoying the view, or grilling and enjoying meals. We had 4 adults, a teen, and a child and there was plenty of room for us. We all highly recommend this home, especially if you're looking for something clean, cozy, and fun with great hosts!

We had a great time staying at Nolin Gnome Home. The house is beautiful just like on the pictures. The space was clean and nicely decorated with all the amenities that we needed. The location was also perfect, close to the Mammoth Cave National Park.

Everything was great and exactly as described. Clear communication and instructions. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay! Plenty of amenities - loved the hot tub, games, bonfire, bbq pit. Close to Mammoth Caves, highly recommend.

Lisa is an amazing hostess! She is a responsive communicator. Her place is beautiful and absolutely peaceful. Didn’t use the kitchen but seemed well stocked. Appreciated the coffee! Would stay again.

This home feels like a home away from home…so peaceful and beautiful! We could hear birds singing into the night and the sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous. We hear nothing but nature and we’re close…about a mile…to a nice convenience store/gas station.We plan to go there every year for our family reunion. Eric and his family are precious people, and we praise God for the opportunity to get to know them❣️

Benita was the most communicative host we have had and we travel often. The house was just like the pictures. The home had everything that we needed. We will be traveling back to this area often and would love to stay at this property!

This place was beyond amazing. It was so clean, very welcoming and perfect for a group. We had my sisters bachelorette get away weekend there and the party / game room was so fun! It was better than the pictures and Robby was easy to work with and get in touch with. I will definitely keep this place in mind when scheduling future trips!
