Modern Lakehouse: Family Fun, Private Dock & Views

AraRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This locationin the Indianapolis metro area is truly a one-of-a-kind location being on a lake this was a major game changer for us since we were able to meditate and practice yoga down by the water while watching cranes fly over us. The swimming also was extremely refreshing. The property itself is 5 Stars and extremely thought out decoratively!

House on 7 acre lake. Newly Renovated 3 Bed 2 Bath

SarahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house was very nice! Its crazy there is a property like this right in the middle of busy greenwood. The family had a blast using the firepit, the hot tub, and we didn't get to fish or go out on the lake but it was so peaceful watching all the ducks. The house itself had alot of little extras to help the stay out and really enjoyed getting to spend some time with family playing games and watching shows.

Rustic and Cozy Log Cabin with close parking

NicholeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A lovely, homey cabin on a beautiful property! While we didn't get to fully enjoy the pond because of the chilly weather, we appreciated the view. The entire property was clean and well taken care of. We felt very safe, which was important for three ladies traveling alone. Mike was easy to reach out to for help when we had a mishap with the fireplace. A very welcoming host who goes above and beyond with Midwestern hospitality. You will not be disappointed!

Private lakefront home with endless views

JimRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Jim’s lakeside home is gorgeous hideaway on a secluded cove in the beautiful Lake Morse. We loved the kayaks, canoe, and standup paddleboard. The kids had a blast swimming off of the dock. Being tucked away in the idlezone part of the lake means it was quiet and peaceful even during a busy Labor Day weekend. Jim was a great host and very responsive with clear instructions and great local recommendations. Definitely recommend this stay!

We had a great stay at Christy’s place! The condo was spotless and very neat. There were plenty of linens and towels for our stay. The location is within walking distance to restaurants and a few shops. Christy was very helpful and accommodating, and provided many local recommendations. She communicated well before and during our stay and was very friendly. She even left us a Swiftie gift basket since we were staying in town for the Taylor Swift concert. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Modern Top Floor Condo in Downtown Indianapolis

SarahRating, 5 stars5 days ago
simple, nicely decorated, and in a great location. building access was easy. checking out was easy, just run the dishwasher and leave. Added perk: an actual brewed coffee machine with filters and strong coffee grounds. Not having to battle with an unfamiliar Keurig and drink terrible coffee first thing in the morning is huge. nearby Kroger for shopping, plenty of nearby restaurants and bars, public transportation convenient, building an apartment we're secure and safe.

Dina was very responsive and helpful when we had a question. She also suggested some local places to check out. The condo was just like the photos and had a rustic feel to it that was very appealing to the wife and I. It was also very well decorated and had plenty of space. It was just down the road from the downtown area and all the restaurants and other various places worth checking out. Would definitely stay there again when we go back to Indy in the future.

Your guide to Indianapolis

All About Indianapolis

Nestled amid Indiana’s beautiful green pastures and farmland, Indianapolis is one of the largest cities in the Midwest and serves as the state’s capital and cultural hub. Its streets are full of soaring skyscrapers, grand government buildings, and Art Deco masterpieces. A variety of vibrant murals add splashes of color to the urban landscape, and the riverfront promenade offers sweeping views of the White River. An eight-mile walking trail connects Indy’s cultural districts, a convenient thoroughfare for exploring the city’s top attractions without getting behind the wheel of a car.

Then again, cars helped put Indianapolis on the map. Just beyond downtown, you’ll find its legendary speedway, home to one of the country’s most famous motor circuits. People come from all over the world to catch a race here and visit the on-site museum. If motorsports exhaust you, Indianapolis and its surrounding area has plenty of green space to go around, including a handful of top-notch parks like Brown County State Park and Mounds State Park, where you’ll find well-marked trails full of locals hiking and biking in no particular hurry.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Indianapolis

Indianapolis experiences cold winters, hot summers, and mild temperatures in the spring and fall. Although the weather in Indiana can be extreme, there is no bad time to secure an Indianapolis vacation rental. During the spring, summer, and fall, you can take advantage of the walkable downtown and riverfront promenade and put some mileage in on the nearby hiking trails. In winter, the downtown lights up in a sea of Christmas lights, and you can go sledding on one of the many hills or lace up your ice skates for a whirl around one of the city's many outdoor skating rinks. Indianapolis hosts several city-wide festivals and events, including a lively St. Patrick's Day Festival in March, a celebration of independent film in April, and a world-famous car race in May with more than 50 events and programs. In August, the Indiana State Fair rolls out 17 days of concerts, carnival rides, and high-caloric snacks like deep-fried cheesecake bites.

Top things to do in Indianapolis

Conner Prairie Park

This fascinating living history museum, located in a northwest suburb of Indy, takes you back in time to the 19th century. Experience life in a small prairie town, learn about Indiana's role in the Civil War by visiting a recreated army camp, and discover how human-crewed flight became possible by riding in a tethered hot air balloon.

Monon Trail

Following the historic railway line that connected Indianapolis to Chicago, the Monon Trail is a 27-mile rail-trail that you can follow on foot or bike. The path takes you through residential neighborhoods, emerald green fields, and farmland and across brightly colored bridges as you make your way out of the city.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum

Located within the 2.5-mile oval track of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, this museum is home to the Indianapolis Speedway Hall of Fame and more than 25 winning cars representing more than a century of motor-racing history. Don’t leave without taking a selfie from inside a real race car.
