This property is a wonderful place to stay near Ruka, clean and modern and with all features as described for a comfortable stay. We spent the Christmas holidays here and it was so magical in the setting with the immediate view of the first from the living room area. The whole place has been thoughtfully designed to be functional, practical and aesthetically beautiful, we had no complaints. The log fire and sauna works perfectly and the kitchen fully equipped to cook in. We walked to Ruka (about one hour) where there are restaurants, a small supermarket and all skiing facilities. We used taxis to return from here or to go on excursions further afield which worked much better than car hire for us. There is a lot to do in the area, many sporting activities as well as winter activities such as husky rides, reindeers, snowmobiling, cross country skiing etc. We would absolutely stay here again and thank you Tero for being a great host!

We had a fantastic time at Heli's place in Ruka. Heli is one of the best hosts we've encountered on AirBnB: always quick to respond, generous in facilitating requests, keen to share and provide helpful information, and friendly. The cabin is very comfortable, cozy, and well equipped. We particularly appreciated the spacious drying room, sauna and included ski passes. There were also lots of little extras including sleds for the children, a good selections of pans/utensils, oil and seasoning in the kitchen, and shower products in the bathroom. Although it is not central, it is an easy walk to the supermarket, local skibus stop, and cross-country trails. We enjoyed the peace of the lovely neighbourhood. A visit is highly recommended.

What a lovely stay we had here! The log cabin itself is stunning and beautifully furnished - super cosy! We stayed here in midwinter so we were surrounded by a gorgeous winter wonderland. Excellent location, set back from the road but very close to supermarket and places to organise your outdoor adventures. Very close to Ruka ski resort. Rami’s communication with us was brilliant, we didn’t need to ask him anything as everything was covered.

We had a great stay with our family in this cozy and stylish cottage. The cottage is very well equipped and nicely located in a peaceful environment and still close to the services and slopes of Ruka. All correspondence with the host Hanne went smoothly. Can warmly recommend.

Our stay here was just perfect! The hot tub overlooking the starry sky and the new sauna are definitely a super plus here and the money for the place is totally worth it. Hans is an indescribably nice host, he helped us with all things and gave helpful tips on excursions, etc. We can definitely recommend a vacation to come to rest and explore the area around Ruka from the heart!

Heidi’s villa is an amazing, cozy and peaceful place… especially in the Winter season. Unfortunately, no Northern Lights showed up during the stay because of the cloudy weather but the villa has great windows facing North. The villa has a well-equipped kitchen and lot of appliances. Heidi was a very attentive and responsive host. Truly recommended!

We were very comfortable for a week, Tania was very helpful, loving, kind, she welcomed us and explained everything to us in detail, she helped us with everything we needed. The house is very clean, very well equipped with everything, the location is very good, we will definitely return.

Well-equipped vacation home

Everything worked as expected and the place was in tidy condition. Getting into the parking lot from the boom required picking up a key card, but it also worked out smoothly in the end.

Tidy log apartment in Ruka

We had a great stay, the place is perfect and has everything necessary. There were some minor issues with finding the house, wifi has not worked perfectly all the time but other than that - it's a wonderful house surrounded by nature, quiet and peaceful. The host was always responsive and friendly, we also had some troubles locating the trash cans, but the host replied promptly and helped us find everything we needed. We would definitely visit again.

The cottage was new, clean, and well matched the description. The cottage is located near the Ruka Center, but on its own in a beautiful location. Your own car is a must to get around. It was easy to communicate with Emma, and our group of 10 people mostly missed more hangers in the cabinets, as well as proper cooking for a larger group of people. By the way, there were plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. Definitely would rent again!
