Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Roxbury

Such a perfectly peaceful get away. The view was incredible and the home itself was beautiful. The large master with the wood stove was so cozy. Thank you for a wonderful stay 😊

We thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay at Kalyn’s Farm House. The house has very obviously been carefully curated to provide a homey, relaxing and charming environment, with a timeless quality that so suited the beautiful summer landscape and surroundings. Favorite things were playing guitar on the outside porch, the porch swing, the 33rpm album collection, the excellent farm stove, the stunning view from the upstairs bathroom, the book collection and a couple of leisurely baths in the claw foot bathtub. Oh! And I forget to mention the walks with our dog down through the meadow to the riverbank below for a daily splash and swim. The place is Eden. Don’t tell anyone!

Great place for a family getaway weekend! Cozy atmosphere in a very quiet neighborhood. We saw more wildlife than we saw the neighbors. Dirt roads to the cabin can be challenging in "mud season" but we were able to navigate through it all just fine. Kitchen was well-appointed and spacious. The open floor plan on the first floor provided plenty of opportunity to interact with the rest of our group even while doing separate activities in different spaces. We were having a mini family reunion and it was laid out perfectly for us. In cold weather a couple of upstairs bedrooms got very cold despite the good heating system in the cabin, but once under the ample bedding it was not noticeable at all. We slept comfortably each night. Stefan was very responsive and pleasant. As the weather changed in the days leading up to our stay he kept us abreast of the road conditions. His house rules were easy to follow.

We really enjoyed our 'short-term' (1 month LOL) rental! Everything was as expected from the reviews and photos. Home has everything you need to actually feel at home. Gigantic fireplace was the star of the show, and wood all split and stacked and ready outside the nearest door was appreciated. Property is remote which is good in that it is private and there's access to hiking trails (or ski-touring if enough snow, which there was during my stay). A mile or so down to the reservoir. It is a long drive to... anything, with a few miles of dirt/mud road to navigate, which is no problem unless/until there's a storm. Just be ready with the right type of vehicle for snow or mud as it is a hill. There's equipment for grilling over the fire, which I found to be a fun and better option for my steaks which were delicious. Todd checked in a few times, answered questions very promptly at all times in the process, and made some special accommodations for us. Highly recommend this property!

Not only would I stay again. I will seek it out when I return next year.

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house nestled on a hillock. The house was clean and clutter free. The rooms are quite spacious and with essential amenities. All the kitchenwares and cutleries were clean and easy to find. The air vents and the thermostats work as desired. The house also boasts a good sized garage. It is perfect for a group of friends and family who wants to experience typical Stowe vibes with peace and privacy. 10/10 for providing the directions regarding checkin and checkout. Would definitely keep this on top of my mind while visiting Stowe next time.

Wonderful stay at Maria’s place! It was spacious but cozily arranged/decorated, great sleeping and hang out spaces, very clean, nice big kitchen which we didn’t take full advantage of but definitely appreciated. Personally love the highland cow photos. Easy check in and check out, great communication, area felt safe. Would gladly stay there again.

Amazing gem to find!! Sam’s listing was exact and the apartment is more delightful than words can say. Very well stocked kitchen if you want to eat at home. Warm gas fireplace made it extra cozy (November). The bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly. The shower was piping hot and felt like a waterfall. I texted a friend to say “Excellent apartment - like a cute Victorian flat in London had a baby with an IKEA catalogue.” It was so chic and stylish in design. The off-street parking was an absolute MUST in Burlington. We had no issues finding or navigating back to the apartment. The neighborhood was lovely and I felt safe to walk our dogs at any time of the day or night. Easily walkable to restaurants, downtown & the lake. As regular visitors to Burlington (UVM), we would absolutely stay here again.

As I was familiar with the area, I kind of knew what to expect except for the big water bar at the beginning of the road which bottomed out a little car I had rented otherwise the place was as described. Kate was very responsive, and it was a peaceful, nice setting

This place was cozy and clean. Close to town and access to lots of eating options. Alex was a great host, left treats and lots of info. Would stay again!

The flat was really lovely! Very very clean and organized. The bedding was amazing and super comfortable. The location is walkable to the pedestrian district downtown and was really perfect for us!

Appreciated the hostess accessibility and responsiveness. It is a lovely rural property not to far from town and campus. However, the distance is not walkable.

Bob’s place was a great base for our Burlington trip. We took advantage of the full kitchen which was so nice and saved us some money. Bob and Jackie left us a bunch of great local snacks and coffee, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The house itself is full of charm and quirks. The bedding is extremely comfortable. The washer and dryer was a great bonus. The backyard is peaceful and idyllic. Everything in Burlington is a few minutes drive away, or walkable if you don’t mind walking. Ubers were cheap as well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

If there was one thing I had to say that was not positive, it that there is not a tv. When traveling in the winter with kids, that can be tough.

Great stay at Sugarbush. Awesome location - as described, 5 min walk to trails and ski home at the end of the day. Well appointed, great layout for family of 4. Everything that we needed for our quick mountain get away. Highly recommend! Will be back!

We loved our stay here! It was in a perfect location and had a beautiful view. We enjoyed the week here with our family and had plenty of room for everyone to relax and the kids to play. Would highly recommended staying here and will definitely be back.

Advantages: 1. The kitchen: double oven and all equipment needed to cook for our group. The kitchen is fully functional for people who like to cook. 2. The view, the view, the view. The eclipse, stars, and backlit mountain range were magical. 3. The host seems very kind! Downsides: 1. The central area had floating stairs and rails with gaps that are large enough for kids to slip through, so we had to have total vigilance with our toddler there, but could relax with her in other areas which were toddler safe. 2. There is a sunken living room with two steps down. My dad fell (twice!) while distracted by the view, probably also because his bifocals prevent him from seeing stairs well. This area also has no rail, so perhaps not great if your group has anyone unsteady. 3. Not an issue for us since we didn't use it, but the fold out couch room is right off the main area, so the sounds of the group might disturb people who sleep there. These downsides are no deterrent-I'd stay again.

This Villa at Trapp Family Lodge is large and comfortable. It fullfills all the basics for a winter cross-country ski vacation and not far from Mount Mansfield for downhill skiing, and is as described. The General facility and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Fortunately we had the good fortune to have had very good weather - a bit on the cool side, but really good snow and the whole week the ski conditions were very good. A great place to gather.

The Little Maple House is terrific! What a great chance to stay in a historic home that is furnished with beautiful accent pieces and antiques yet feels homey if you have a rainy day movie night, or want to cook in. The neighborhood is so convenient! Bring your walking shoes, to head downtown, or over to breweries, galleries, and the Farmer's Market over on Pine. The girls and I (all senior women) easily walked thousands of steps a day chasing art pieces, photographing murals, grabbing coffee and gab sessions, and enjoying music at the local breweries. When I did have a question come up, the hosts responded immediately, what more could you ask for?

Great stay at this location. Owner was friendly and very responsive. This is a large home with a bedroom on the main floor and 4 others upstairs. The kids room we call the Peter Pan room as it is right off of another room with twin beds. So cute! The house has tall ceilings and big rooms with real beds in each one to suit your guests. The home is a very special place where you are minutes to Woodstock but have true privacy and amazing views. A great stay. Will be back soon.

For a large party (8 people) this was the perfect space. Had enough space for all of the guests, had great amenities in beautiful surroundings. The AirBnB was located close to a number of attractions in Stowe which made finding something to do incredibly helpful. Overall this was a great rental and I would book it again in a heartbeat.

What a great condo in the best location! Unbeatable for the price. The condo was spotless, and had every amenity as described. Plenty of towels, soaps, kitchen necessities. Beds were comfortable! We really felt right at home. And the fire place was so nice! We’d definitely recommend this for a great weekend get away!
