We had an amazing four night stay here. The apartment was excellently furnished, the location effectively on the lakefront was fantastic and the outlook across the lake to Mount Tarawera was beautiful. We could not have wished for more. Thank you Murray for being such a great host

Riverside cottage is delightful, as is Jo. The house and garden are peaceful and relaxing. There was plenty of room. Jo communicated well with us both before and after our stay. The dogs were friendly and good fun. We loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

Had a great stay at Stephen and Etty’s place. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our family of five. The location was convenient, and they were great hosts—even letting us use the washing machine, which was much appreciated. Communication was excellent, and check-in was smooth. Would definitely recommend!

This was one of my favorite air bnb stays! We loved staying right on Lake Rotorua and enjoying the sunrise each morning! Lauren and Sam had paddle boards and kayaks for us to enjoy the lake as well as a hot tub for relaxing! The unit was so cute and very comfortable! Lauren and Sam were great hosts and shared a long list of recommendations with us. Overall we had such a peaceful and relaxing time and would definitely book here again and recommend it highly to anyone!

Geraldine’s house was gorgeous. On arrival we were absolutely blown away by the location and her beautiful home. So many lovely welcoming touches like the stereo playing, lovely scented fragrances, freshly baked cake, coffee pods, chocolates and delicious breakfast goodies in the fridge which we weren’t expecting. We felt at home immediately. An abundance of firewood was also available to light the fire which made the house very cosy. On the morning of our departure, Geraldine messaged us to offer a complimentary late check out which we greatly very appreciated. We had a wonderful time in Rotorua and Geraldine’s home was the icing on the cake. We look forward to returning again one day.

Rob’s lakeside retreat was wonderful!! It was clean and beautiful and perfect for our family! It was larger than we expected… plenty of room for the 5 of us to spread out. And the view was even better than we hoped! There was everything we could have wanted at our fingertips… robes, extra pillows, tea! Rob is extremely organized and helpful! We felt very lucky to stay at this property!

The love shack was a gorgeous secluded spot that is perfect for any type of getaway! The hosts were so delightful and had no hesitation with allowing us to charge our EV ,which was so helpful! Two words would describe our stay at Loft on the Lake - just perfect! Susan and Nigel were welcoming, friendly and generous hosts and the accommodation was spacious and very attractive. Everything was thoughtfully provided for a very comfortable stay and Susan’s attention to detail was excellent. The Loft was immaculately presented. The best part of our stay was access to the beautiful lake which was so peaceful and use of the kayaks was the icing on a very lovely cake!

My family and I absolutely loved staying here and hope to go back someday. The place is very accommodating for our stay. We mostly used the place for cooking, and sleeping at night, while we explored during the day. The place was spacious four a family of four (two elementary aged kids) for two nights that we were there, we only wished we stayed longer to really explore the area because it is so nice. Lake Tarawera was super peaceful to look upon, and we were fortunate enough to use the kayaks available by Bronwyn's. We really enjoyed that. We also explored the walking path which was super nice. Recommendations that we also got to enjoy the Luge, Okere Falls for kid friendly hike, and the Okere Falls restaurant is very tasty afterwards.

We had a wonderful stay! The backyard lake view was absolutely stunning and so relaxing. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated with great taste, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The spa was a lovely touch and very comfortable. The host was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The view from this property was just stunning! The garden leading to the lake was my baby’s favourite - lots of room to wander about, play and hang out. Beautiful interior and very clean! I am particular about cleanliness and this property definitely lived up to my expectations. Host’s parents live just next door and they were very friendly and helpful too. Staying with Hilary, Rob, Winnie and Ben (the dogs) and Dog (the cat) was an absolutely delight. The view of the lake was utterly sublime, and the cooked breakfast a total winner. A super comfy bed, too! We only stayed for two nights which wasn’t long enough. Will absolutely be returning!

What a beautiful, peaceful location with views of and easy access to the lake. Comfortable area outside to relax or take a dip in the hot tub. Feeding the ducks and meeting friendly neighbors were my favorites. Inside, although small b/c it is a converted boat shed, we had more than we needed, with all the home made goodies and groceries provided…delicious bread, frittata, muffins and more. Thanks, Ginie. Airbnb is close to the Mitai Māori experience which was enjoyable, and not far from the city center, where we visited a public park with plenty of geothermal activity to view. So much to do in the area and Ginie and Bob’s place provides a nice respite from all the activity.

Delightful spot. Beautiful setting. We had a cozy 3 day stay. Lovely character home, with a great set up for winter. Warm beds and great fire place made it super comfortable and easy to enjoy. We would love to come back in the summer and experience the lake again.

Beautiful house and gorgeous surrounding! The little bay is secluded and peaceful! Feels like your own little private bay…. The kayaks and paddle boards were great for the location! The house is spacious with lots of modern appliances, but still feels very cozy and secluded! I highly recommend it!

This Airbnb was lovely and had an awesome view of the lake right out the window plus a big balcony and it felt private as we were right on the shore basically. There was a lovely garden and we could take fruit if we wanted so got some feijoas :) The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner and it had a washing machine as well and our clothes dried fast outside in the sun. The listing said the wifi could be variable but we found it fine in the lounge and dining area and I was able to do a Zoom class with video with no issues. We met the host Marie as well and she was very friendly! Would love to stay here again in the future.

We had an amazing few days at the most beautiful location and house! The hosts were very accommodating and helpful with all requests. The house was beautiful and fitted our three families perfectly. The location couldn't be better, and the kids loved riding their bikes out front and walk down to the playground. We loved being able to swim right at the doorstep and jump on the boat with ease. An amazing place!

My group of 5 loved the space so much that we ended up staying indoors a lot to enjoy it properly. We especially loved lounging and napping in the sunny nook, and really appreciated the electric blankets that kept us warm at night. It’s also a great location - 7mins drive to the town centre, Kmart etc, and 15 mins to the redwoods. Would totally come back again!
