Places to stay in Romney

I keep coming back to this place and increasingly consider it a home away from home. It is inviting and cozy and at the same time full of fun stuff like games, stocked full of kitchen and bar implements, fireplace -- perfect for large groups of friends, though I usually go with my wife and daughter as an escape for work. It is a short drive to places like Harper's Ferry, where we went this time to hike part of a Appalachian Trail. Alexa and Andy were responsive, and prompt and friendly, in their responses, as usual. We will most certainly be going back within the next year.

The house is beautiful and homey, set on a stunning landscape. A mountain ridge from the blue mountains sets to the east, with woods surrounding all other sides. It is quiet and peaceful. The perfect spot if you’re looking to go hiking in the national park, or to just have some peace and quiet. The host was wonderful and kind.

Another peaceful stay for a solo meditation retreat! Su, Sy, and Philip are always responsive and make sure visitors have a great stay. The cabin was very clean and spacious, and I enjoyed spending time on the front porch watching all the local wildlife. I'll be back again!

Very peaceful country place. Jenn's very carefully written directions made it easy to find the place. It was perfect for my visit that involved time in both PA and Maryland. It was a very relaxing place.

We had a wonderful weekend at Whispering Pines. The home had beautiful views, great lake access, and was the perfect distance from the restaurants and shops. We visited in the off season so there were not a lot of boats out and it was very quiet. There were some light bulbs out and things of that nature, but again, it was the off season. Everything about the home was perfect and allowed us to get away and truly just enjoy ourselves. I would definitely be interested in staying here again in the future.

Cute little place with a great lake view. Good central location for hiking at the many state parks.

Super convenient and lovely space. We have family in the area and this location was perfect. Loved the big TV and the comfy couch.

We had a wonderful two day stay at Jesse’s oasis. It was beautiful, serene and relaxing. Listening to stream made for a good nights rest. The bed is extremely comfortable and the temperature in the tent is perfect. We really enjoyed the fire and the off grid hot shower! We will definitely stay again. Thank you for the perfect retreat
