This is our second time staying here and it did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful place to get away.

Absolutely adored our stay at this little mountain house. The place far exceeded our expectations - it’s so beautifully decorated and cared for, truly felt right at home. The setting was so peaceful and close to so much great recreation as well as Nevada City. Will most definitely be booking again for a getaway!

The house and grounds are beautiful, private and welcoming. We have stayed in many AirBnBs over the years but none more inviting. The autumn leaves were on fire and the smell of pine forests and wood fires was a reason to linger. You will not want to leave this treasure. It is an amazing find. We stayed for Thanksgiving week and enjoyed the sites and beauty of Nevada City. But the real find is the house and its sanctuary. We will return.

A wonderfully peaceful cabin tucked away in the woods yet close enough to the town as to not feel isolated. Chadi was very helpful and communicative throughout our stay, making our comfort his top priority. Had a brief power outage to which Chadi promptly provided details and updates throughout, much appreciated. Cabin can get hot in the summer, but plenty of fans are available and keep the cooler air circulating. Jacuzzi was a big plus. Internet was good but a little spotty. Smart TV for movies was great.

We appreciate the opportunity to stay at your cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and found the location very convenient for accessing Sugar Bowl. You and your team are quick to respond to any messages or calls. The kids had a lot of fun playing upstairs while the adults enjoyed conversations downstairs. The cabin is very clean and was warm upon entering. We will defiantly stay here again. Thank you for the snacks.

This was our second time at Nacala and Dave's place, and I hope to return again in the future! In the summer heat, having access to a large pool AND the beautiful Yuba River so close by is a dream. The backyard view is amazing; you can see the mountains and the trees, sunset is gorgeous, and from the deck you can see the river as well. The hot tub is huge and lovely as well. We really enjoyed our much-needed getaway and felt so at peace here. The space is great for group or family trips, and Nacala and Dave are very responsive hosts. I would definitely recommend. Thank you Nacala and Dave for your hospitality!

This was such a charming little slice of heaven tucked away in the pines of Nevada city. We had the best time here, it was so cozy and every room was so beautiful. A few of my friends and sister both said they wanted to move in haha. Also loved the yurt that was near the main house, it is absolutely beautifully done and the cute bathroom near by was adorable. There decor around the whole house had us in love, we are big fans of mushrooms and we loved all the little trinkets and mushroom things. Also we loved that it had no tv, just a radio, that way we could just put some music on and just enjoyed each other’s company with no screens. It was a great bonding experience and we will definitely be back to this home away from home. Thank you to the most friendly and attentive hosts, you both made it very easy to stay and helped with all questions. What a pleasure it was to stay in your home.

This was a great experience. Allen was great about my dogs and the internet worked perfectly. The property is down a country road but very close to a little market and main roads While it is clearly set up more for enjoying in the summer (totally uninsulated and large doors), the minisplit and wood stove made it plenty warm in the winter. I had been hoping for “peace and quiet” but between the neighbors’ dogs protecting livestock, coyotes, and owls, it was actually extremely noisy at night, so bring earplugs. Nothing is to code, no cleaning products, and cooking inside was awkward (using the hot plate over the sink bc no other outlets, none gfci) so very rustic, but the overall experience of being there was great and I loved walking the grounds. Allen is a great host and this is a wonderful location, year round.

Our stay at Kelib’s cabin was truly out of this world! This beautifully built off-grid retreat is a perfect getaway to a tranquil and stunning location. The cabin itself is fabulous, thoughtfully designed and decorated with great attention to detail. Everything was immaculate, and the furniture and fittings made it incredibly comfortable. One of the highlights was enjoying the amazing tea and coffee while soaking in the breathtaking view through the window—it felt like a little slice of heaven! Kelib was a fantastic host, staying in touch to ensure we were comfortable and making us feel so welcome throughout our stay. We can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a peaceful escape in a gorgeous setting. We’ll definitely be back!

The place was perfect. Comfortable, peaceful and Kelly was a great, flexible, responsive host. Stayed 4 nights for a work trip and would definitely go back. Really close to old town and trails.

This is the best place to stay for quiet and overall joy. I stayed here with my mom over Thanksgiving to avoid staying with my brother when the whole family was staying in his house. MJ's is a beautiful space, inside and out. In the kitchen, anything I could think of was already in the drawers or cabinets, and this was the best because I cooked thanksgiving dinner for 10 people. The living room is bigger than it looks in the pictures, and the fireplace was so relaxing! There's also a little kitchette off one bedroom so if you have two couples staying, you could make a coffee in the morning and take it back to bed or enjoy outside without wandering in jammies throughout house. I hope we can come back sometime when it's a little warmer so we can enjoy all the outside spaces - there's two decks with chairs, but it was rainy, then chilly. The bedrooms are so comfy and there's two full baths - walk-in shower in each. So wonderful!

This was the perfect place for my friend and I to spend a few days over the holidays. The location is close to town and quiet, nestled amongst the trees. We enjoyed taking walks, staying cozy inside, and getting some recs for local sightseeing. Appreciated the flexibility and hospitality of our hosts!

Amelia’s place makes for a perfect Grass Valley stay. The house is very cute and comfy. The lovely neighborhood is quiet yet so close to Main and Mill St’s with all the shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Amelia is a great host too!! I highly recommend staying here!!

Best vacation experience ever! Shelli is an amazing host. My family and I felt like we were at home. The Sugar Pine reservoir that is only 5 minutes from the cabin is a great place to hike and swim. The cabin is cozy and had everything we needed to have a pleasant and peaceful stay. Can’t wait to book it again soon!!

We had a wonderful time staying in Dante’s cabin! Very cozy and homey with beautiful surroundings! The fire warmed the place up perfectly during the cold mornings and night perfect to snuggle up infront of! Dante was very friendly and responsive! 10/10 will stay again and recommend to friends and family looking for a weekend getaway! Thank you again Dante! :)
