Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Rochester

My partner’s family, niece and nephew, and I had a great time at Dana’s place! It was the perfect fit for people who wanted to relax and people who wanted to explore, and it’s a beautiful house with everything you need. We hope to visit again!

The house was exactly as advertised. We travelled to Rochester as a family for a wedding. The house is spacious enough for 6 + adults with ample space so that any of us could find a place to have quiet time if needed. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating. We recommend Dan and Peggy’s house to anyone travelling in this beautiful part of Vermont.

Amazing stay. Great views. Remote enough but still close to towns. The house was very cozy inside with the fireplace and comfortable couch, and cozy outside with the great hot tub and pretty fire pit area. Only thing was that a lot of dishware in the kitchen were still dirty with dried food on it. Overall, really great stay and definitely worth a visit. Host was very communicative and helpful when we had questions during our visit.

Our stay was awesome! We felt right at home. There were games for us to play and a cozy fireplace which were our favorite things we enjoyed. It was a perfect home to enjoy a nice weekend getaway together as a family!

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. The views are incredible, everything was clean and amenities were just as listed. Great balance of modern commodities in a laid back more rustic setting. Lots of great hiking trails within less than 30 minutes. We would definitely go back.

We stayed at Heidi’s place at the end of October 2024, it was perfect! It was just 4 grown adults, we all slept comfortably with plenty of space to do our own thing and also to cook and hangout together. Property was relaxing, nice place to have a fire, and the hot tub was lots of fun. Plenty of trees and sky all around to feel immersed in nature but town was just 10 minutes away for anything you might need. Also close to a great little waterfall hike (easy!) at buttermilk falls. House was clean and open and inviting. Lots of board games and extra supplies. Kitchen was well stocked for all cooking needs. I’d 100% come back to Heidi’s place!

We had a wonderful stay at the house. The location was perfect - quiet, private, but walkable to restaurants and an easy drive to Okemo and Ludlow. Everything was very clean and the house had everything we needed. Laura was an excellent host. She was proactive with communication and responsive to questions. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Colin and Jordan are great host, very responsive with questions. Crystal clear check in instructions and detailed local recommendations. The house is spacious, clean, cozy, well equipped, and feel likes home. Will definitely return sometime in the future!

As I was familiar with the area, I kind of knew what to expect except for the big water bar at the beginning of the road which bottomed out a little car I had rented otherwise the place was as described. Kate was very responsive, and it was a peaceful, nice setting

This place is great! The pictures do not do a justice. This apartment is very open, lots of space! And the views of the mountains are incredible! Chad was very responsive and a great host! Would stay again!

Steven’s place did not disappoint! Phenomenal location, right in the middle of the town which has great restaurants and a great cocktail bar. The unit was extremely clean and bigger than displayed in the pictures. We had an absolute blast and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

It is a cozy Airbnb. I felt right at home :)

Loved the touches of the airbnb. Conveniently located to the Main Street where food, bar and Okemo mountain is located where we spent most of our time at. Mike was a great host, super friendly and responsive. Even left us some treats and free tickets to use for the mountain.

5 star all the way. Shall return.

Great stay! Doc was super responsive and helpful, even helped us check in a bit earlier than what is expected. Though we didn't have any particular needs while there, we knew we could reach out and ask anything and he would respond and help. This would be.a fun place to stay at in warmer weather when you could use the lake too! Great spot for access to Middlebury College and a fun, welcoming place to stay.

Was our second year staying here. easy drive to Norwich University to visit our son for family weekend. Will be staying here again for sure. Thank you :)

Cathy's places was immaculate and was a perfect home base for travel all over Vermont during the fall season. The pictures don't do the place justice- it is incredibly nice, and so easy to get in and out of!

We enjoyed this condo! It fit our group of 5 adults and a baby with no problem. The kitchen has a big table we all sat at for dinners and games. It was convenient to Killington, Woodstock and Rutland. Jonathan was great at communicating quickly, and sharing recommendations (Sugar & Spice was great!). Check-in and out was easy and Jonathan was accommodating with our early arrival/late check out requests. It felt clean and well taken care of. Would recommend!

Beautiful, private-feeling condo close to cute town and trailheads. Kitchen is shotgun style but very usable; those who want to cook will want to bring a storage container or two. GREAT foliage in October, not too cold at night.
