Vacation rentals in Roaring River

Stayed here for a girls getaway weekend with some friends. It was a charming cabin and an absolutely beautiful view. Shortly after getting there we noticed the water wasn’t working. Due to the abnormally cold weeks they had been having the pipes had frozen. Once I made Rebecca aware she was on it. It wasn’t long after I contacted her she offered to move us or bring us gallons of water until the plumber could be reached. We decided to stay due to how comfortable the cabin was and the beautiful view. Rebecca had several gallons of water delivered to us, and it wasn’t long after that the plumber was there and defrosting the pipes. We were not without water for long. I could not speak highly enough on how quickly our needs were met, and how friendly everyone was. I will not only be saving this property to use again, but will intentionally look to use other properties by this host!

The home was lovely and the perfect cozy winter retreat. The mountain views were spectacular and we saw some stunning sunsets. It was great to be able to bring our pup along so she could enjoy the great hiking in the area. The winter decorations made it a special places to spend the holidays. This was our second time at Lisa's properties and we will likely be back again soon!

This was a great base for exploring the area — peaceful but lots to do within a short drive. The condo was as described and well-equipped for families with kids. Trey was responsive and helpful. We had a great time and would stay again!

Grat host! Trouble with whyfi and they got it fixed so quick. Lived the great family room! Had lots of room for rhe grandkids to play,toys, books, games. Enjoyed the wood stove cozy on cold nights! Had a great family weekend!!

This was our second time booking here! It’s the perfect size getaway for our annual family vacation. Our family enjoyed the multiple levels of porches and played a few games of pool downstairs. Very peaceful area!

Amazing place and Jodee was an amazing host

We loved the home. The weather was iffy with the winter storm coming in and we had to leave a day early. But that’s not her fault!!! The cleaning could have been better; especially the tops of furniture. And the water took forever to heat up in the master bath…all in all it was a great place in a great location. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Views are beautiful in the snow!

Piney Bear was just lovely. Hosts could not have been more accommodating and helpful! We were there during some rough weather and Ian was kind enough to drop a bag of salt for us. Their place is beautifully decorated, with so many amenities and comforts that other hosts typically would not provide. Thank you for a great stay!

Second time staying here and it was equally great. They did a nice job cleaning all the snow from the driveway and deck to access the house. Place matches the photos and it's very cozy. Living room and kitchen did get a little on the cold side but it was in the low teen's that night. Bedrooms however did stay nice and warm and the beds were comfortable. Very close to restaurants in Banner Elk and only a couple of minutes to get to Sugar Mountain resort amenities. Highly recommend, especially if skiing or tubing!
