Places to stay in Rio Nido, Guerneville

My wife and I were meeting long time friends and their adult daughter, everyone was delighted with this house. Not only is it in a great setting but everything is just right. From communication with Bill to his helpful guidebook to the very nice pots and pans we used to cook each day. The house is beautiful and is spotless throughout. The windows and doors are new and keep the space peaceful. There are (to my count) 10 separate seating areas outside, we used 9! Bocce ball was fun and we had dinner outside. The spa was the right temperature and simple to use. The furniture and linens were great. And the views perfectly framed…. Beautiful landscaping with water features and abundant olive trees and large mature trees. Gorgeous The only downside was that we had to leave. It wasn’t inexpensive but we certainly were happy with the experience for what we paid, I’d be more than happy to visit again.

Collin’s place was such a cute and cozy retreat! The outdoor deck with stream was the best part of his house. Getting in and out of the driveway was a bit stressful as cars do tend to drive fast on that road, but Collin has certainly warned us about that. Collin’s description of the house, things to look out for, and local recommendations were also great! Very helpful. Would love to return some time if I can!

We spent a week at Anita's place, it is very nice, private, and comfortable. The home is located in a very quiet, safe, and walkable neighborhood containing many restaurant choices including the highly rated El Molino. It is 2.5 miles from the Sonoma Square, less to the historic General Vallejo's home, and nearby hiking at the Montini reserve trail with gorgeous views of the Sonoma Valley. Communication with the hosts was easy. They are welcoming and accommodating making our stay very enjoyable. Their dog, Oisin, is one of the best behaved I have met and added another layer of fun to our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this Airbnb. We hope to stay again. Anita is definitely a superhost!

This place was very comfortable. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bed is great, the linens are soft and high quality. It was quiet at night for sleeping and the location was great (close enough to easily bike to the main square in Sonoma), but also some nice restaurants closer. We had coffee and a simple breakfast there every day and they've got all the things you need for that although washing dishes in the bathroom sink wasn't totally ideal. There's nothing to be done about this, it's just the limitation of the space but it's something to keep in mind if you think you'll eat meals there. But yeah overall this was a really nice play to stay!

What a charming and cozy home Don and Amy have made. From the amazing fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds and darling decor you have found your second home! We had the most wonderful getaway ringing in the new year. We cooked, watched movies and enjoyed soaking in the hot tub in the amazing back yard. We rent alot of homes and found Don and Amy's place a contender for the top spot. When I entered there were lights on, music playing, easy instructions and a lovely bottle of wine, box of crackers, gourmet cheese and several bottled waters. How nice is that! We felt so welcome and it was truly a joy. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! We will be back soon.

We chose this cottage for our former college roommates' 3-day getaway. It was exactly what we needed. Beautiful views, a hot tub, comfortable beds, and great amenities. Bright, cheerful, clean, and the wallpaper was fun. Lovely view off the back deck. David had many recommendations for food and things to do. The road up to the place was tight, especially in an SUV so we chose to venture out only in daylight. Check-in and check-out were easy. We loved our stay!

Our stay at Mediteranian Getaway was wonderful. It is in a beautiful, secluded location that takes you up some curves and hills - but that's part of the adventure! It is walking distance out the back door to a terrific hike on Fitch Mountain and the newly developed nature preserve with options for various difficulty levels. The living space is compact as advertised, and beautifully appointed, including a lovely large shower. The breakfasts out on the patio were a delicious added bonus. Everything we needed was provided. Kathryn and David made us feel comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend.

Laura’s place was perfect for us and our stay in Sonoma. It had everything we needed and was close to wineries and downtown Sonoma. Laura was very responsive and offered great recommendations! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice and convenient to Harbin Hot springs. close to grocery and a few restaurants. Nice country area with great view of mountains and horses. Peaceful except for a bit of road noise, but it wasn't too bothersome. We would have appreciated some better quality bathroom towels, washcloths, more dishtowels etc. Jakob responded right away to questions about heater and lack of washcloths. He brought some wash cloths over with an hour. overall, very nice stay. Would recommend this place as good value.
