My husband and I came here with our 1 year old for Christmas and we loved everything about this place. It is beautiful inside and out and we loved that it was decorated for the holidays! We loved the pellet stove, it kept the place really warm. Since it was our first time using a pellet stove, we had some questions about it and our host was quick to respond and help. We also loved the game room/movie area, there is something for everyone there. There is also a nice loft upstairs with a great selection of books in the master bedroom. Everything was clean and we loved that they had everything we needed already there. It is very peaceful and quiet and we got to see a few deers right outside the cabin. It was a great experience and we would definitely visit again.

I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to stay in the greater Sherman’s Dale/Harrisburg/Carlisle area.

This place was wonderful! Very clean and so big! There were so many bedrooms and bathrooms. The game room was a hit with the kids and adults. This is a great place for a large family to stay together. Everything was very clean, with plenty of towels and linens. The beds were very comfortable and the very large dining room table was great for our large group. We will definitely be staying here again.

The Old Farmhouse is a remarkable property that perfectly combines charm and functionality. Ideally situated between Allentown and the Blue Mountain Ski area, it offers guests a plethora of activities all year round. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy for visitors to prepare meals, while a delightful diner nearby provides an excellent alternative for dining out. The cleanliness of the property is commendable, and the host's warm hospitality enhances the overall experience. Overall, this farmhouse serves as a wonderful retreat for those seeking both relaxation and adventure.

Pinewood Retreat was the perfect place for our family to spend Christmas. We felt right at home. The common areas are great for entertaining and the kitchen was well stocked so we were able to cook Christmas dinner. Our parents came for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner so we had 10 people total and there weren’t quite enough forks and knives but that’s a tiny complaint considering what a nice house and beautiful location this is. The teenagers really enjoyed the hot tub. The beds were comfortable. All around a great place to stay when visiting Lancaster County!

Stay was great. It fit our entire group of 14 comfortably. The game room was a great addition but even better was the surprise massage chair which the adults enjoyed! Eric was very responsive even during our stay. Bathrooms had shampoo/conditioner in them which was great. Great little breakfast/brunch place called Farmhouse 10 mins away which wad also neat pizzeria, food, gas station. Note that trash needs to be driven down to the compactor which is a bit inconvenient. Water pressure issues but we managed..being in a mountainous area it's sometimes a given. Recommend for groups 100%.
