We had a brief trip to the area. We only had one night at the house but the house and the hostess, Marilyn, were terrific. Everything was as stated with no surprises. We loved the old historical home! Our only regret was that we didn’t have more time to enjoy on the property. Great stay and highly recommended!

Staying here was a breeze! The space was perfect for us traveling in for a family event. The neighborhood was pleasant with no loud noises, so we slept well. Everything was well organized and neat. I especially appreciated the property being dog friendly. Just be aware there are dogs next door that will bark when you let your dog out (otherwise they aren’t loud or barking all the time). My dog didn’t care, but some might. I would recommend the place for anyone traveling to Pineville/Alexandria area.

Thank you so much for making our stay seamless and enjoyable from the beginning. Upon booking Davis was proactive and accommodating keeping a clear line of communication while navigating a snow storm the week of our travels. My baby girl and I could not make it at the last minute, but the rest of the family traveling in town for a conference expressed how much they enjoyed their stay, the beautiful view and continued communication to make sure their stay was superb, thanks again for everything!

Pet-Friendly 2BR/1BA with Spacious Rooms

We have nicknamed it “The Camp” in Alexandria and we will be back again. Anytime we need a safe space for us and our pups this will be our go-to. The house has basic but clean space and amenities. The backyard is fully fenced and very safe for our dogs. We do not have “hotel” dogs. Our babies are rescues that need space and safety and this was it for us. The AC did break during our stay but Kenneth was very responsive and things were taken care of quickly.

Brandon is very kind and always willing to answer questions. He really likes feedback but we did not have any issues! Great location for companies working on projects close by. The house looks like the photos. It was clean and we had no issues getting to or from the house. Instructions were clear. We will be using this again!

We loved this home! Coming in town to see family for Christmas, this house provided us with extra space for everyone which was essential. Rex’s communication was superb.

A two-story home is presented, featuring a broad front porch with white railings. The structure is surrounded by lush greenery, with large windows letting in natural light. A gravel driveway leads to an open space beside the house, providing accessibility.

Thank you Roberts place was perfect and close to our work project in Pineville.

Great house for a weekend getaway. House had all the furnishings needed for a restful weekend. There was a leak, beyond anyone’s control and the owner came out within 20 minutes. The leak couldn’t be fixed, so the owner quickly found another place for my family to stay and made sure we had all that we needed. Amazing support!

Our stay was stunning! We love staying at places with history and character, and both were found here. The house was beautiful, and all the spaces were clean. Nothing rickety or too clunky to use. Marilyn was very kind to allow a little luncheon with out of town family. I also forgot my cup inside once we checked out, and she was gracious enough to let me come back to grab it. We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved staying at Marilyn's house, it is a beautiful house inside and out. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The space was perfect for our family of 6 with plenty of space for us to spread out. We were able to cook meals and entertain a few local friends for the afternoon very comfortably. We love the historical background the house has and the modern updates make it very comfortable to spend the weekend. We hope to be able to book again with Marilyn and Nancy soon!

I was there for 2 weeks and I enjoyed my stay. The area was so quiet and private. I did not feel unsafe ever and I was a female traveling alone. Rex responded immediately if I had questions. I’m so sorry for the late review I just moved to a new city and just adjusting and getting things in order I have finally had time to write it. I 100% recommend this place and I would stay over and over again vs staying at a hotel. I loved the privacy I had and how the kitchen was stocked with everything to cook (although I didn’t use it). But you cannot go wrong. Go with any of Rex’s listing vs a hotel!!!! Oh yeah and the small washer and dryer was the icing on the cake for me too. I didnt have to go to a laundromat!!! Thank you again for having this available for me!!!
