Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Rangitikei District

This house was perfect for our family group of 9 adults. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking large meals, and it was great having two full bathrooms. The fire and some heaters kept us warm at night.

Lovely spot and perfect for overnighting when road tripping as only a few minutes off main road but quite private. Characterful renovated farm house/ old gun club thats styley and very comfortable!. Great walk down thru paddock to river in deep ravine and wider farm walks if you have the time. Nice 4th generation farming family story too. Really enjoyed our short time there.

This place is one of those airbnb treasures. We actually come from a neighbouring town and were looking for a quick get away for a night. The spot is very whimsical, like something out of a fairy tale. We absolutely loved it! The house itself is spotless and equiped with everything you could possibly need. The bed and linen are of excellent quality ensuring a comfortable nights sleep. The pond, kayak and dingy are so fun. We loved sitting around the firepit listening to the sounds of nature. It is a very special place that is excellent value for money. It was very private and romantic. We felt like we had a real holiday even though it was only one night.

This place and Sharon were fantastic. We stayed for two nights while we did the tongariro alpine crossing and it was the perfect place to stay. Right across the rd from the shuttle pick up. The place was clean and welcoming. We enjoyed it immensely!

Consider this an immersive experience rather than just accommodation. Pumice is beautifully and clearly constructed and the different elements are fascinating. I made the mistake of booking only one night - I needed more to benefit from all its elements. Make sure to read the book on tiny houses which includes Pumice.

Our second time at the cottage and just as lovely as the first. The cottage is a great place to unwind and appreciate nature. The hosts have preserved its original beauty and the decor is in keeping with its heritage. Well appointed and comfortable rooms with all you need for a weekend of peace in the countryside. Kylie is always friendly, responsive and welcoming. Thanks again and we look forward to a future visit.

The lodge was everything we needed for a boys weekend away. Will be planning to go back in the future

Eduard was an incredibly generous host to such a unique and wonderful accomodation. The rolling hills, attention to detail, and mindful interior design made for a peaceful and tranquil weekend. I’ve also never seen more stars in my life!
