The place was managed by Marlon and his wife who were very friendly and open hosts. They met us at the road (a bit difficult to find but we made it) and showed us the house. It’s rustic and cozy and the view is really nice. It’s in the middle of nature and very peaceful, you can see a lot of birds in the bushes and trees surrounding. Room was clean and comfy. We relaxed and went for walks. In the evening you can hear elephants in the jungle. Marlin arranged for us to do a safari and also took us to town with his car. The place has no cooking facilities but you can use the kitchen of the main house so that was perfect. We would recommend very much, great value for money and really beautiful and peaceful place with great hosts.

The stay at King reach (Dulitha's place) was fantastic. The villa is the perfect place to unwind after traveling a long distance. Especially the garden is just beautiful. The communication was also very nice and Dulitha is extremely helpful. The caretaker Wimalasena is very kind and always available. His care and support for guests is next-level. The large ancient lake (Nuwara wewa) built by kings (in front of the property) adds a massive value to the property. The location provides easy access to all the main places in Anuradhapura. Also it is a very calm and peaceful place to relax with your family. The kitchen is equipped with all the facilities and tools we need. The beds are very comfortable and clean. All in all the location is very Safe and comfortable. kids friendly too. We would come back anytime! Thank you for the unforgettable time! Thank you so much for hosting us.

I visited Sri Lanka for a holiday with my family, and we stayed one night at Saman’s place. The location was very convenient for traveling to nearby pilgrimage sites. The place matched the Airbnb pictures perfectly. Saman was very welcoming, ensured we were comfortable, and provided helpful information about the area. I highly recommend Saman’s place to the Airbnb community.

This is a private independent house, the host lives on the first floor, the guest lives on the second floor, spacious and bright, quiet at night. The location provided by the host is inaccurate, we could only get to the outside street, we called a second tuk tuk, after checking in we checked the map, there is a “Leisure Stay” location which is very accurate, looking at the picture, this is the B&B, it is recommended to use this navigation, simple and clear. The Host is a nice couple. They helped me find out about the bus to Trincomalee the day I left, called a tuk tuk, and gave me a sandwich. But the charter driver he recommended was no good. The driver himself was fine, but he lacked the ability to accompany foreign guests. He couldn't understand basic English place names or requests, and couldn't find famous attractions. He asked while walking. The ticket office in Dambulla was not at the Golden Temple gate. He didn't know, so I had to walk a long way to find the ticket office. The car is also in poor condition, and the air conditioning is insufficient. We went to four attractions that day: Pidurang Cave, Lion Rock, Dambulla Cave Temple, and the Okana Buddha statue, and the charge was 25,000 yuan. I hope the host can recommend a better driver. All in all, the B&B itself is pretty good, I recommend staying here.

Samantha and Kauchi were the perfect hosts. On arrival were were given welcome drinks and Kauchi informed us of the local attractions, including the Hurulu eco park (where we visited and saw loads of wild elephants extremely close up and virtually deserted apart from 2 jeeps), Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and pidurangala. The room was lush, the pool cooling in the heat, and the bird life amazing! We ate traditional breakfast in the train hut whilst the train drop off people (it's a delight to watch). We also had some of the best home cooked food we tried in Sri Lanka, fresh as it can be. We felt so well looked after, cared for, and relaxed in this chilled out environment. It's virtually a deluxe homestay, but more! Their ethos of living of their land with minimal waste was inspirational. I will remember the great chats had with Kauchi who's English is excellent. Out of the 8 places we stayed in Sri Lanka over 18 days this place is equal first 🥇 place. Thank you so much everything team 🙏 x

We enjoyed spending two days in this beautiful home, as well as the hospitality that was provided. Just as we greatly appreciated the area and the incredible kindness of its inhabitants towards us. The accommodation had probably not been occupied for some time, hence some small adjustments at the start of the season (broken guitar strings, pool not very clean and other small details) which does not prevent us from recommending this accommodation and wishing Kamal and his team every success.

Devika's place is FABULOUS!! The Air Bnb is part of her home yet very private, opens out to her lovely and rustic yard, so very soothing to stay here. Everything about the home is thoughtful and the bathroom gets an A++ for cleanliness! But the best part of it all is Devika! She is all warmth and heart. She has cycles for her guests, recommendations on what to do in Anuradhapura and she also hosted us for a memorable experience around Mihintale. We felt so welcome and at home at her place, that I would book it for a long stay in a heartbeat. I can't wait to come back to my tiny home Devika, thank you for everything. See you soon!

Elite Holiday Home is great base to go and explore Anuradhapura. The apartment is set in a leafy quiet suburb. It has two bedrooms with two large comfortable beds in each room with A/C and ensuite. The owners during our stay were always available, friendly, and very helpful as they helped arrange a driver to take us around the ancient city.

Excellent place, it feels like you're in the middle of the forest. The houses are very nice, a memorable stay. Very nice and very attentive staff! We arrived very very late and were remarkably hosted. Delicious and hearty breakfast!
