Joydip's place is a great choice if you need a good base in the Howrah area. it is 10 minutes rickshaw to Belur Math and 20 minutes to Dakshineswar Mandir. Joydip and his family were super lovely and provided everything we needed, including a later check out time! thank you Joydip and the family!

I cannot recommend Somma's place highly enough. Host Deep in particular made my time so easy - from arranging airport pick up very late at night to helping me find groceries and coffee shops and navigating to the conference I was attending. The place itself was incredibly clean and beautiful - an easy place to relax. I felt like I had a real local experience, but one made easy by excellent facilitation! I will definitely return next time I find myself in Kolkata.

Nice and cozy,felt like home

I have stayed at the place for couple of days, and I must admit house amenities were beyond expectations. I had full access to entire appartment. One room with double bed, one big hall and 2-3 balconies were available. Moreover entire appartment is very airy, you won't feel confined between walls unlike staying in a hotel rooms. House is bit away from main Street which gives you comfort of peaceful neighborhood. Host is very generous and helpful, allowed me early check-in. Overall I am very satisfied with the stay, would love to consider in future visits.

my wife and I enjoyed our stay at Ruma's place. everything was as described. we loved the location! The metro is a short walk and it was easy to get a taxi. Anything you need is a short walk away. We would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely apartment in Dum Dum, centrally located (near to shopping and business areas), yet safe and quiet at night. The park is not far where buses connect to all of Kolkata. The apartment, on the ground floor, has two good-sized rooms: bedroom with a comfortable bed and plenty of closet and storage space (as well as extra bedding and towels). The living area has enough space for working and other activities. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, cooking and table-ware, dry foods, teas, spices, etc. There's a washing machine, hot water, and housekeeper regularly available. The hosts Nandita and Rohit are kind, responsible, supportive. They checked in to meet my needs in helpful ways, e.g., by purchasing fruits and vegetables for me (when I couldn't yet find them on my own) and to offer me Indian-style foods to try. They have a beautiful family with two children. They gave me both privacy and hospitality. I enjoyed my interactions with all of them immensely.

Swasti is incredibly responsive, available 24/7 for any help you need. The space is beautifully maintained, with an elegant, classy feel, reflecting Swasti’s excellent taste. It’s in a peaceful, upscale neighborhood, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The amenities made me feel right at home: there were plenty of books, kitchen essentials, electronic gadgets, WiFi, and comfortable furniture—everything you could need. The host truly stands out. She is polite, humble, and always ready to assist, making the stay even more enjoyable. If you’re visiting Kolkata, I highly recommend this place for both personal and professional stays.
