Vacation rentals with a kayak in Pulaski County

The perfect retreat! The views from every window and the large wrap around porches were breathtaking. The house was immaculate, decorated beautifully, comfortable and very well-appointed. Our family celebrated a birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas during our stay and the kitchen was made for all of it. The double oven and double dishwashers were so convenient for all our cooking and it was incredibly well-stocked. Jill was the friendliest host and was extremely helpful in planning our trip. She went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable - she even went out to get a roasting pan for our turkey on Thanksgiving Day! Our boys had so much fun with the countless toys and board games that were so neatly organized throughout the house. We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit and had lots of fun with the air hockey table. We're already dreaming up a summer visit to use the hydro bikes and kayaks on Claytor Lake!

What a beautiful property! We enjoyed having our morning coffee while overlooking the lake. Each day we fished, walked or hiked, and of course we visited the goats multiple times per day. The goats are so sweet! It was hard not to climb in their enclosure and cuddle with them! The kitchen was well stocked. The house was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Our host Dezirae responded to any questions within an hour. Excellent experience! Highly recommend!

Good location away from the town and great hospitality

Nice quiet place that was easy to find and easy to get in to. Hosts were great to interact with and very welcoming during my stay. Looking forward to staying again.

Gina’s place was incredible! It was plenty of space for 3 couples and both the home and property were beautiful. We really enjoyed the access to the pond right out the kitchen and spent much of our time on the dock. The stars were beautiful and we were able to see meteors from the Perseid Meteor shower. We were in town for the Galax Fiddlers Convention and it was a convenient location about 25 minutes from Galax. I highly recommend this stay and hope to return soon.

House was very clean . Everything you need for a comfortable stay was right there , even phone chargers! Bathrooms are brand new and super clean . Kitchen was well stocked, even had coffee for us. We loved making a big pot of coffee for everyone in the morning !! Lots of bedrooms . The road leading to the house was very narrow and hard to navigate at night but was fine during the day. We really enjoyed our stay !!

Great stay be mindful if you are looking for a quiet stay as you are on the main strip of Downtown Floyd. Foot traffic and road noise during the evening can get a tad bit loud so keep that in mind. However the distance to food, entertainment and light shopping provide a nice balanced experience.

A fantastic get away place close to the nature . Really rejuvenating experience. We came here in connection with our daughter graduation and we had a beautiful family time . Dave and Susan are excellent hosts and very friendly and helpful. They gave us some of their free range chicken eggs and it was so yummy. Highly recommend this spacious place to anyone . This was exactly what what we needed to unwind and recharge. The views were amazing and the house had verything you needed. It was great to be able to fish from the bank of the river. The kitchen was well stocked and one of the best yet in our view when it comes to pots and pans and all of the cooking utensils you would need. The primary bedroom has a great view of the river and it was nice to wake up and see the fog rolling off of the river. The bedroom upstairs was perfect for my daughter who enjoyed having a space to relax in larger than her dorm room. The painted wood floors and little island in the kitchen gave this home so much character and charm. We loved this home so much and hope that Frank will continue to rent this out for a few more years. would love to get back in the Spring and Summer. We stayed here at the Hokie Home a second time and loved it even more than the first! It is located on a very peaceful section of the lake and we spent many delightful hours lounging on the top story of the dock. We also enjoyed eating on the decks and are grateful to have found a place that is dog friendly and has room for the whole family.

We had a wonderful stay in this historic home. It was charming and cozy but had the updates of modern amenities! The kitchen was well stocked and there is a gas grill provided which we used to fix dinners while relaxing by the fire pit. The house was very clean and well appointed. It was a great perk that they provide bikes to use on the trail. We biked towards Draper (the trail was closed just before getting into town) so we couldn’t get all the way to Draper Mercantile but I’d recommend doing that once the trail opens. It is about a 12.5 mile round trip ride from the house. Beautiful mountain and river views along the trail. Internet worked great for us and our cell phones were able to send and receive calls when connected to WiFi calling. Hosts were friendly and very responsive! We would love to return again!

It is such a fantastic cabin! We loved everything about our stay, especially the sauna and hot tub. You can feel that this cabin was built with love and attention to detail. We will come back!

I read through the comments and people mentioned the driveway often. While the driveway was steep, it didn't impact us at all. I could understand driving an RV would be impossible, driving a sedan or SUV wasn't an issue. The home was nice and the outdoor space was great! Appreciated the deck and enjoyed our time utilizing the outdoor space! Great time at Blue Ridge Escape!

Everyone had a great time. There were lots of extras that made it even better…games, water toys, s’mores and coffee stations, etc. They seemed to have what we were missing.

The cabin and surrounding areas were beautiful! My grandmother was just diagnosed with terminal cancer and she wanted to see the blue ridge mountain. This cabin and outdoor space was a perfect weekend away and accommodated everyone for a quality family weekend! We didn’t get to do much in the area, but the cabin was spacious enough, plus the decks and the dock, we always had somewhere to go on the property! Fingers crossed we make it back in the summer time; 100% would recommend and return back!

The Bear Claw offers a nice relaxing getaway near Pipestem.

Tommy's cabin is clean, cozy, private, and comfortable. It's a beautiful country setting, yet close to many of the area's attractions, from hiking trails and the Blue Ridge Parkway, to the nearby towns of Floyd, Meadows of Dan, and Hillsville. My pup loved the fenced in yard, which includes a fire pit and wood available to use. We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to return for another perfect get away. Highly recommend!

Davin’s home is absolutely beautiful. Between the house itself and the picturesque views, I found everything I was in search of. He has literally thought of everything that’s needed for a relaxing yet entertaining stay. The comfort of the porch swing while taking in the magnificent view was the highlight of my stay. These folks run a top-tier stay in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mts. My family enjoyed the getaway, and we soaked up all of the air and sun that we could! Simply put, we are already planning our return next spring. Thank you so much!

This is a fabulous location on the river! If you enjoy being on the water, this place is for you. We LOVED going out in the kayaks that were included, and they had some tubes available as well. The "little house" was perfect for our family, offering privacy and quiet for baby's naps. Kitchen cookware and utensils were high quality, and there were plenty of staples in the cabinets for cooking and baking. Everything was as advertised!

We were so pleased to last minute be able to stay here! The hosts were so helpful and very friendly. After enduring two significant hurricanes back to back it was the perfect place to unwind and find mental peace again! This was the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed at and definitely would love to return again in the future. Very much recommended thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin!
