Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Province of Matera

The view! This aspect of our stay made it absolutely worthwhile. We appreciated that the back patio featuring the view was very private, the apartment was walkable to everything, and the price was fair. We required heat for chilly evenings, and the thermostat worked very efficiently to warm the place. A few small notes – the apartment does have two full bathrooms, but the upstairs shower was rather impractical to use, because there was no curtain or glass to contain the water from the shower nozzle. The bathroom tiles were quite stained with several missing. The glassware and extra blankets were of questionable cleanliness, but the bedsheets and everything else appeared to be washed just ahead of our stay. An overall lovely stay!

Teresa was super friendly and easy to talk, no problem to check in , gave us a lot of information about what to do, was very helpful helping us booking a table at a restaurant, would definitely come back!

The apartment is simply beautiful: restored with great care, attention to detail and respect for local tradition, cozy and perfectly furnished. The view is breathtaking, it really looks like a postcard! The location is convenient to visit the Sassi and the rest of the city. The host was helpful and kind. We felt right at home. Highly recommended for those looking for a special place to stay!

Stefania’s apartment was a great place to stay in Matera. It was well located with easy access to both Sassi, the large public spaces, shopping and restaurants. Besides the excellent location, the apartment itself was wonderful. The bedroom was spacious and had an ensuite bathroom, tons of storage space and extra blankets. The large living room had a futon for extra sleeping space. The kitchen was very well equipped and maybe the only Airbnb I’ve stayed in with good, sharp knives! The downstairs bathroom is the larger, with a nice-sized shower. In addition, there are two outside spaces with small seating areas, one on the roof giving a great view down the hill and one outside the front door. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay.

Beautiful characteristic apartment. Large rooms and two perfect bathrooms. A little cold and humid despite the heating, but the stones of Matera are like that. The kitchen is a little small and poorly equipped. Great experience.

Our family of 4 had a comfortable stay in the magical city of Matera. All went well, good location, clean and warm in winter. We only had breakfast in the property. Kids found the slats in the bed a bit noisy. It is around 1km from Matera Centrale station. Alessandro, checked with us on the bedding layout sought and met us at the property, providing helpful recommendations.

Antonella’s place was amazing - beautiful surrounding in Sassi. We love the terrace and her place is well situated for the sunrise. It was extremely quiet and anyone could have a great sleep after a long day visiting historical places around Matera. We will surely come back, thank you for having us.

Excellent location - perfectly situated in the Sassi of Matera with amazing views and centrally located to all of the sites in ancient Matera. Patrizia was extremely helpful and communicative. We hope to visit again soon and stay at Patrizia's place!

a magnificent historic property fully modernized. immediate parking. perfectly centered and walkable everywhere, pharmacy, dentist, city hall and of course the Patisseries and fabulous restaurants. Fabi is a gracious and responsive host. I'll be back for certain.

Very well located apartment close to the city center without being in the tourist center. we were able to park without problem on the street. we were like at home..with two bathrooms, luxury!

Extremely attention to detail and very well furnished apartment. Too bad for the area where it is located that is not the best since it is close to the train passage, but it is a 10-minute walk from the center and the stones and therefore it is still recommended as a base to visit Matera.

All was perfect! Nicola waitet for us and helped with parking. The apartment was very very nice, with a very good bed. Good equipped kitchen and bathroom. 2 minutes to the center and absolutly quiet. We sleeped wonderful and had a very good time in Matera.

Great place to stay for a day trip to Matera. Just a short walk from great restaurants, shopping and the Sassi. Was perfect for us!

The 1er Grand Cru of airbnb. In Te Reo Maori has a word to describe care and hospitality, being manaakitanga. Pasquale has this with a strong commitment to his craft of hosting. He spent time orienting us with the area and provided a generous selection of local delicacies. An unobtrusive host with a meticulously appointed property. The apartment was a nice place to stay and walking distance to restaurants, shops and the city. Everything was present and the contact with the host was fine. We definitely recommend it.

Pasquale's apartment is as it appears in the listing. It is fantastic. It is ideal to visit Matera without the problems of access to the center and we have been very comfortable. It is important to highlight the information that appears in the description of the apartment: the kitchen is to prepare a breakfast, as it is not equipped for cooking, although that is not a problem thanks to the gastronomic offer of Matera and surroundings ;-) On the other hand, the underfloor air conditioning is wonderful. Quiet and effective. We 100% recommend the apartment and hope to return in the future.

We only stopped for a night out. Definitely an artist's apartment, very special and pleasant, we really liked it. If I had to go back to the area, I would be happy to go back.

The apartment is very clean, 15 minutes from the center on foot, a characteristic fruit market in the square, Caterina is very prompt in her responses, the mattresses and pillows are good. Definitely recommend .
