We enjoyed very much our stay with Rea and her sister. The house has an atmosphere, the contact was nice, the bed super-comfortable, and breakfast outstanding. We also enjoyed walking in the village and in the mountains nearby.

Staying at Rea's place was definitely a highlight of our visit in the area. The place is very beautiful, cozy and the epitome of style. Rea and her sister were very warm and welcoming. Last thing to mention is the most delicious and lovingly prepared breakfast. Thank you!

We stopped for 2 days on our way to Ticino in this historic house renovated with a lot of passion. Ursina welcomed us hospitably and gave us good tips for excursions. We immediately felt comfortable in our large simple and tastefully furnished room. The view from the roof terrace into the vastness of the beautiful mountain landscape in the clear starry sky will be particularly remembered. In the morning, the host spoiled us with local produce and homemade bread and jams from fruits of her organic garden. In a casual conversation at breakfast, we learned interesting things from the changeable history of this house and how Ursina and Raffaele dealt with the substance during the multi-year renovation. Both have put their hands on their own, creating a contemporary atmosphere for their guests with a lot of skill. We will be happy to return here in the future. Heidi & Tom

Ernestos BnB is highly recommended. A hearty room is waiting for you. A separate bathroom is provided next, large, newly equipped and shiny. The hospitality is priceless, you feel like at home. Check in / out super flexible. I arrived late on Friday night after work (around 9pm) and was absolutely no problem. Ernesto is such a friendly uncomplicated host. I really enjoyed the conversations with him. To do this, he prepares a delicious breakfast with local organic products, what more? 5-star place in nature.

Good budget accommodation in a characterful old wooden house. The owners are friendly and provide a great breakfast in the morning. The only problem is the creaky floors and thin walls so when other guests arrived and left it woke me up. But most of the time it was quiet and I slept very well.

Claudia's house is beautiful, she received me very well, the breakfast was delicious. And the bed had the softest pillow and bedspread I've ever seen. Appenzell is a beautiful, quiet village with plenty of nature walks to do around. Easy to access by train. The City Hall provides the holiday card to those who stay for more than 3 nights, and gives you access to various places and free of charge on public transportation. Excellent!!
