Trench Farm Cottage. Unique. Quaint. Quiet!

"The Cottage" is situated on my farm. It is very quiet and away from the main road. It is south facing with its own garden area. Looking out the living room window is the garden area , green fields, woodland and a unique view of Knocklayde, the large hill overlooking Ballycastle. The building consists of a small kitchen with fridge, washing machine, gas cooker and sink. There is a door off the kitchen to the outside patio. The living room has a woodburning stove and leads on to 2 bedrooms.

This small Garden Cottage is set in a picturesque farm on the North Coast, 2 minutes drive from Portrush. Visitors can visit the many beaches, golf courses and tourist sites within a few miles of the farm. Portrush and Portstewart have a vibrant restaurant scene catering for all tastes. Preferable to have a car as the public transport is not not close to the farm.

What an amazing place this is . Peaceful and scenic location with Mountain View’s . The place was spotless and well laid out . Raymie met us when we arrived and told us how everything worked and where everything was . Fire was set for us to light when we wanted . Fresh eggs and milk and fruit and bread and butter . Wood there for log burner on the patio outside . Slept like a log . Raymie saw us before we left to wish us all the best . Amazing place. Highly recommend this place to stay . We decided to book The Cottage for a quick Easter getaway with the kids and our dog Leo. We were not disappointed. The Cottage was spotlessly clean, spacious but cosy. The enclosed garden kept our pup safe and secure. The beds were very comfortable and after some lovely beach walks, which are only 5 minute drive away, we all fell asleep no problem. In a quiet rural setting but within walking distance to the train station, it was the perfect location for some much needed family time. A home away from home, we will definitely visit again sometime. Thanks to a wonderful host, the welcome pack and Easter Eggs for the kids were a lovely welcoming gesture. If you are considering staying here, just book it you won't be disappointed!

We recently enjoyed an overnight stay at this cosy cottage. The interior was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils/condiments which enabled us to make dinner without any fuss. We appreciated the breakfast tray, treats, milk and orange juice left for us by Louise. She has thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.

We had a fantastic stay with our baby, the place was very clean and well laid out. Location was great, central to Portrush and Portstewart. The house had a lovely outdoor space although with the weather and a baby we didn’t get much chance to use it. Brian had a lovely welcome hamper waiting for us on arrival and was very friendly.

MAGNIFICENT!!! Look no further as this is an incredible find. Truly above and beyond expectations. We had an amazing stay at Slemish Farm Cottage and couldn't believe our luck. Paula was a fantastic host who really goes that extra mile to make everything perfect for her guests. We arrived to breath taking views and immaculate accommodation. Beautifully presented treats and fresh strawberries....delicious. Very comfortable beds, great showers and exceptionally clean throughout. Views to the surrounding area were stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. We hired a car so we had the best of both worlds. Giant's Causeway was epic and Ballintoy was stunning with it's blue-green seas. Belfast was vibrant and welcoming. Such a friendly place to visit and we will certainly be returning to Ireland forevermore! Thank you so much Paula and Rodney for the most memorable stay. The Macintyre family.
