Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Portage Lake

This was our third year celebrating Thanksgiving with our family at the AirBnB! It is the perfect space for our family to come together and enjoy each other's company and a delicious meal. We look forward to continuing our tradition each year.

The home was very clean and so beautifully decorated and welcoming. The kitchen was full of any amenities needed, as well as bathrooms, no need to pack anything extra. The views and yard were spectacular. We really enjoyed the wooden swing over seeing the lake. If we had a question about anything, Nate almost immediately responded.

Perfect place, kitchen is well supplied. Kristie has a kind gentleman come clean the snow if necessary during the winter, which was lovely when staying for work! Hope to stay again soon.

Farrah's home was cozy and warm. Everything you needed was available. Close to downtown and easy to get to. We enjoyed our stay while visiting our family.

We felt very comfortable during our stay. I have done some traveling and this was the most comfortable place I had ever stayed in.

Our family rented the house for a family party. The place was clean , great kitchen had all we needed to make all of the meals we planed for 17 people, Donna delivered extra crockpot for us. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We will definitely recommend this house. Ty for making our family event a success.

This is the second time my family stays at Joey's place, and it won't be the last time. The place is clean, the kitchen well equipped, and the bedrooms comfortable. Thank you again Joey.

The location was great, about a 1/4 mile from the local grocery store. Very clean and vintage, would definitely stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay. Great apartment for one person or a couple. It was well appointed and had everything you’ll need for your stay. Close to the lake and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again!

This island home was the perfect little vacation spot during a cold Maine December. Denise’s place was warm and inviting, and there were even fresh cookies made for us upon our arrival. The place was clean and well equipped with cooking staples (oil, salt, condiments, etc.), high quality cookware, extra shampoo and soaps, and even laundry detergent for use with the full size washer and dryer. I plan on returning during the summer months to explore even more of Aroostook!

Yeah so Phil’s place is off the charts and he goes over and beyond to make your time in his places seem like home. He made checking in after 7pm like no big deal and was very flexible with check in time. Which was a relief after a long drive after a long day. The place itself is absolutely stellar and such a well put together establishment to stay in. Beds are nice and comfortable and he has plenty of extra blankets if needed. All bedrooms have doors on them for privacy and plenty of closet space if needed. The kitchen has all you need to cook and coffee maker with coffee for the AM. Free laundry if needed. The bathroom was quite a treat, hey if you forget anything like tooth paste, soap etc, don’t worry Phil has it covered for sure with the necessity's. The shower in this bathroom is something special like I’ve never experienced. Potential to have water coming from every direction (pretty cool setup) Overall Phil’s places are the ones that you want to keep going back to every time!!👍

This unit was clean and convenient to stay at. The description was accurate and access could not have been any easier. The apartment was perfect for me and my dog on our work trip . Communication with the host was seamless. 10 out of 10 recommend staying at this place

It was a great place to stay near the North Maine Woods. The remoteness was terrific, yet it was still as close to 'town' as you can get in that part of the world.

Myles place was a spectacular stay for our quick family reunion in Madawaska. Myles went out of his way to make sure we arrived at the cabin with him so we would not get lost in the woods! He was flexible when our arrival times changed and showed us all the necessities of the home upon check in. The cabin was immaculately clean, spacious, and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and sit comfortably and enjoying the camp. We enjoyed the fire pit and paddle boat. We spotted 3 moose, 2 deer, a loon, an eagle, and a baby bear during our short stay. The camp is so peaceful and truly felt like Gods county. It was nice to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the quiet lake. Things to note- bring what you need before arrival, it takes a bit to get in and out via the dirt roads and far from stores. (But totally worth it!) rocky bottom Lake, bring wet shoes, and bug spray! Thank you for everything!

Always an amazing stay at Pond Brook cabins. Place was extremely clean and had everything we needed for an awesome stay. This is our 4th year coming back! Thank you Amy!

Eric’s cottage was the perfect place for a peaceful weekend getaway. The property was beautiful with the lake just a few steps away. We spent the weekend sitting out by the lake fishing, and had a great time. Would definitely recommend!

Kevin was super responsive to our needs. His “Cozy Cabin” was more than we expected. It was immaculate and had everything you could possibly want and more. If you enjoy a peaceful serene cabin by the lake, then this is your place to be!! Thanks so much Kevin!!

We had a wonderful stay at Mike and Carrie’s cabin. The cabin was cozy, clean, and quiet. It was the perfect spot to stay while exploring with our pups. We’ll be back

We loved it here! I wish we were staying for more than one night. Tricia was so accommodating and communicated regularly. The cabin was perfect and I love the private shower/bathroom assigned to our spot. There weren’t any events while we were here so it was very quiet and peaceful, which was perfect for us. I would love to come back here for a wedding, the event space looks so fun!

We chose a November visit because it coincided with our anniversary. We wanted a "do nothing" trip so it as perfect for us. If you were to visit during the summer, there would be a ton of activities available to you. In November it's not snowy enough for snow mobile rental and not warm enough for the water activities that are in your back yard. (didn't matter to us but for anyone else looking to rent, just wanted to clarify that in November, the outside entertainment is limited) Instead we stayed in, made a romantic fire and relaxed in a clean and comfortable cabin with a great view. Perfection.
