Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Polk County

My family stayed here for a wedding/reunion. The house offered plenty of space for everyone, yet felt really comfortable! The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with supplies, making it feel even more "at home." The windows provide a lot of natural light, and beautiful views of the woods and river. We were extremely happy to have found this house, and can't say enough positive things about it!! Anyone who stays here will be so glad they did. Thank you, Virginia!!! Hope to stay here again..

Had a wonderful stay for a weekend of board games with friends. Enjoyed walking the property, meeting the horses and the friendly dogs from a nearby home. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a wonderful quiet place to spend some time hanging out with our family. You’re in the country, but within 10 minutes you can be in a small town with a Walmart and restaurants.

What a beautiful place to get away and have an early holiday celebration with family! The house was decorated so cute with Christmas decorations, and until the snow melted the second day, it felt like Christmas. Beautiful surroundings, from the front entrance through the trees, and out the back with the sauna, fire pit, trails and river. Highly recommend! It fit 6 adults, 2 kids and one newborn perfectly. The layout was perfect with space for everyone, indoor and outdoor. Thanks for sharing your place!

We stayed here on out wedding night. Sarah is a sweetheart and let us check in a hour early, so the groom could get ready. The place was very clean and the decor was out of this world! So beautiful! You are right downtown and so close to everything. It was amazing to wake up and see the beautiful fall colors across the street! My husband and I loved this place!

The Balsam Lake Bird's Nest can't be beat for its location on the shore of beautiful Balsam Lake. The bird-themed decor was tasteful and comfortable, easy to navigate, and a truly restful retreat. The location is in an engaging little town that hops in the summer, and allows easy access to winter recreational opportunities as well. It's a quick dash to the Twin Cities, and if you stay here, you'll be sure to be safe, comfortable and refreshed.
