Vacation rentals with breakfast in Pokhara

I had such an amazing stay with Laxman and his beautiful family! The place is an oasis of calm away from the city and Laxman and his wife went out of their way to make it feel like home for me. During my stay I enjoyed lovely home cooked meals from the family’s kitchen and then I had an incredible experience paragliding with Laxman—all organised through the company he works for! It was a wonderful and peaceful few days and I would love to come back again.

I had a loverly, comfortable stay at this airbnb. The room and apartment is of a very high standard. Loverly touches in the room to remind you of the importance of living with meaning. Good location away from all the tourists yet close to a park where the locals do sports. Thumpten was very good to deal with. All my needs were met and he made me breakfast. He also allowed me to keep my bag stored in the apartment.

Beautiful place surrounded by nature yet so close to everything you’d need, loved my stay here and would definitely recommend this place

I had an amazing time staying with Milan. Milan really makes sure you become a part of her family. They are warm and generous - happy to chat with you as much or as little as you want. I only stayed a few nights but feel I got to know them really well and hung out with them a lot. For a tourist, it’s a great way to experience Nepal and understand it better than you otherwise would. Milan provides two meals a day; one of these is a delicious dinner that is better than any Nepali food you can find in Pokhara’s restaurants! Milan’s homestay is located in the “real” Pokhara (i.e. where locals actually live), so it is ideal if you want to experience a true flavour of a Nepali city. Having said that, transport links to the more touristy lakeside are good: Milan’s family will always be happy to book you a taxi, you can take a direct bus, or download the excellent Patau app (a sort of Nepali Uber that offers taxis and cheaper scooters) if you have a Nepali SIM card. Milan has a washing machine which guests are free to use. This is ideal if you have a longish stay in Pokhara, or if you are going to/returning from a trek. Reliably hot showers are another bonus. The house itself and the room you will be staying are really nice and comfortable. I would highly recommend Milan’s homestay - I will never forget my time with her and hope to be back soon. I had the most amazing week staying with this beautiful family in Barang village. From the very first day, they made me feel right at home. Everyone was incredibly kind and took such good care of me. Amma felt like my own mother and honestly, the whole family felt like family to me! Every meal was prepared with love, and you could truly taste it. All the ingredients were organic and grown right there on their farm, which made it feel so nourishing and deeply connected to the land. The village itself is very peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by nature and with a gorgeous view of the Himalayas when the sky is clear. It was so beautiful and heart warming to experience all of your generosity and care. I’ll forever carry this place in my heart! Thank you so much 🙏🏽

I had the most special experience staying with ama and her family. There wasnt a lot to do in the village but the experience of just observing the daily village lives and being integrated as part of their local lives as a traveller makes this experience so memorable. I spent most times sitting in the kitchen watching ama and the sister in law cook up delicious meals from the open fire. Ama always invite me to observe her daily activities, shared her buddhist prayer ritual with me at the stupa and cooked up the most delicous dahl i ever had. Its such a privilege to experience this village life as a travellor and though we cant communicate in english she shared a book about her benefactor laura who was the reason all of this was possible. Rabindra was also super helpful in getting my transport and met me at the pick up point in pokhara. The sunrise views are magical as well, and on some clear days the mountains will also show itself at the backyard. An experience i will never forget!
